Awesome video. My yamaha p515 recently started to have key issues after 3 years of heavy practicing. Unfortunately there arent many videos on yt showing how to properly take the instrument apart for repair.
Thank you for sharing, I've played on one of these a few times in retailers, I've found the action slightly heavier than I'd like but it seems quite robust. Are these prone to key clunk and rattles like the GHS action in the p45 and p125 models?
Ive owned the P515 for 3 years. The action is one of the best on digital piano. However, like all digital pianos, the sensor strips tend to have problems over time and need cleaning/replacement
No key clunk or rattle for both of my P-515. One of them is 3 years old now. I really like the P-515 key mechanism. I have no problem with the 'key weight'. I have one P-525 as well, also very nice.
Nice. This appears to be only the second online vid of the P-515 opened up. Very nice relaxing background music as well.

The one I used was on "Late Night DIY" channel search P515, that's got all the information.
they do not use felt? they use like a foam or a rubber?
Very helpful video. Thank you! Did you by any chance measure white key pivot length? Is it 21 or 22cm?
How to take of just the side panels? Mines are cracked and need replacing. Do I need to open up the entire piano like you did?
you need to treat your piano better first of all

I have one and haven't had clunks or rattles.

@@southpark5555How do you like the action of the 525 compared to the 515? How much lighter is it?
@@derekbauer2125 derek ... I like both mechanisms. The P-525 is significantly lighter, that is true.
