    You missed looking at the very fine and extensive medieval glazing in the chancel of the church! The earliest is 'grisaille' glass from the 13th century, and there is much fine 15th century glass as well, showing saints, prophets, donors, etc. Collectively , it is something of a miraculous survival!

      Thank you for joining me! It was a shame the church wasn't open but I'm gradually walking the London Loop so I'll try again when I do that section.

    I grew up there and allegedly there are underground tunnels going from Rainham Hall to the Thames, that were used for trade
