You are my pep rally! Love rah, rah, rah too. So, I was watching you with my morning coffee, you had just mentioned the light bulbs out, and the 2 tall chaps in your house to change them. My 6'3" husband walks through and says, she has a couple of lights out😆 How's that for a drive by! Thanks as always for the cheer💙 My downstairs has been getting progressively minimal, thanks to your inspiration. 2008 I moved into the home I grew up in, and father had built to take care of my mom, and homeschool my son. I also worked. It was quite a mash of her stuff, and mine. Had to be sensitive to what needed to go. Still, such purging fatigue. Mom passed Dec. 2011. Exhausted, sort of lost my drive. Kept rallying myself for short periods of time, as in changing seasons. Went through wave after wave of purge. It wasn't until I stumbled onto you that I felt renewed, and truly motivated to tackle the process and more. My mom had lots of stuff she had accumulated from her mom, and sisters who dumped there stuff on her to store in the attic or elsewhere. She kept it clean but full of stuff. Add to that my Aunt passing and my Mother-in-law going into assisted living. I was awash again with stuff, treasures, but still. I could have opened a vintage shop with it all, but too burned out. You made me feel better about everything I had just donated. Your the best Diane💙
Whew! A very one-foot-in-front of the other day today; a common theme! I was not *ready* for the one zone a day program this week, but that's okay; we aren't behind--we'll just jump in where we are. I have very much needed the cheer and enthusiasm of the event though. My laundry is now getting quite good and my morning and evening routines are improving! Now, tomorrow is my Big Day in that the treat I made a promise with myself for is finally here! I have decided to "have a book club with myself"; Since I joined and began attending a (really very nice) book club in the late summer, I enjoyed it; it was a good challenge for me in various ways, and everyone was really very kind. YET it is not "all things in all ways" So I decided to have one myself! I followed through on making a selection which I saw and thought seemed good for my wished-for club, so I went back after a couple of months and ordered it at that same place in the City. (Full price! Yet, I am supporting and independent, and they are the ones who "introduced" it to me, after all.) Also, I will have coffee at my VERY favorite place (I like Americanos, so since we don't have a proper espresso machine in the house, I do look forward to a cafe stop!) Who knows; maybe I'll try expanding my little club to other takers at some point! :D Also; we are finally forecast for a nice snow tomorrow afternoon; such excitement! Thank you for being part of the abundance and joy in my life, Diane. I really appreciate you!
Your enthusiasm is so appreciated today! I started a new round of chemotherapy on Monday and today it finally caught up with me. So, for me, it’s Top of the Hour cleaning today. I refuse to give in to the doldrums!❤️
So cool and inspiring that you push yourself outside of what you feel comfortable with! Thanks to these videos, I am doing the same! Year 2 of university and a 4.0 out of 4.0 GPA so far!
I love like you always say we do not have special products or gadgets to have a clean home. I do not have a feather duster, but I bought the fluffy glove-like pink duster thing you are holding in this video and I have just put it on my mop handle and use it like you use your feather duster on my walls :-D It looks really funny but it works and that´s important, right? Haha. You are such a great inspiration, Diane!
You make it look so easy I feel stupid that I can’t keep it up when you do it so easy I. Want to get to a place where it’s that easy thank you for the inspiration...The Wife ...joan 🇨🇦🌹🌹🌹
Was not feeling like doing my tidy so I put this on and got to work for a few minutes. Feeling better about my space and did more than I wanted! Thanks for the encouragement!
Hello, Diane!😁 I got home yesterday afternoon. To my dismay, I saw a lot of Christmas decor I missed in Zone 1-even a lighted tree on my front porch.🤦🏽♀️ Anyway, I’m excited to get my Zone 1 cleaning done today. I’ll do one zone a day. Thanks for the inspiration and encouragement to get off my bahookie!😘🎉💗

Ohhh, I have read all the PD James books and wish I were in your place: just beginning her books. Today was getting stuff done outside my home. New tires, hair appointment, a trip to the botanical garden. I'll catch up next week. Thanks for this week. Had a quick look around to see if I'd missed any Christmas decorations. All that's left are a few evergreen branches in my crocks on the floor. They still look good for winter decoration in the house.

Been doing the videos along with you and just the lounge to do today. An eye opener for me was picking up stuff that had been left out. We do our zone cleaning and the next week we move on to a new zone. This week the master bedroom and bathroom. Once we are done with this zone, do we add that zone to our hot spot? I guess my question is, we don't totally abandon that zone until it comes up on the calendar again do we? I hope that makes sense!!! Slow learner here! But trying!

I am just curious. Do Tweet and Sparkie have screens so they can get fresh air without them going on excursions or getting uninvited visitors? 💙 🐦 💙 🐦 💙 Also, how do you keep your friendly squirrels out of the kitchen without screens? I had one really challenging year when the squirrels kept chewing through my screens to get in. They even chewed away some of my wood window frames. Two mice got in too and I was able to capture and release those with a humane-trap. I got tired of having to check under all my furniture with a broom handle every time I would come home to find a new hole in the screens. I finally started setting about two dozen spring-traps on my window sills so that when a squirrel set off one, the other 23 would go off. This time the squirrels got tired of being startled and I was able to make a last trip to replace the screen material. No more uninvited friends, then replaced all my windows a few years later. 😬 🐿 😬 🐀 😬

Hi Diane, if you like to use RUclips for travel research (I certainly did before we went to Japan this past November) I can recommend the cari cakes channel. She's a young American (mid-20s?) who has lived and worked in South Korea for quite a few years. It's not straight up a travel channel, but she makes videos of her life there and often does vlogs of trips she makes to different cities etc. I've also watched some of a South Korean drama on Netflix called 'Something in the Rain' - it's a kind of romance about a woman who falls for her best friend's brother (don't switch off yet!😊), but it also shows a bit about family and office dynamics. Anyway, hope you'll vlog some of your trip to show us later, it's sure to be fascinating!
