Thank you for your reminders- I was doing my bedroom and decided to dust the ceiling corners and imagine my shock when I found that a spider had used my bedroom ceiling as a maternity ward. I had what looked like hundreds of black dots (that were so small I didn't realize what it was) on my ceiling which turned out to be baby spiders. I live in Michigan and imagine the spider had gotten in the house as the cold weather and snow are setting in. Three days of checking and dusting cleared up the problem--what a relief.
Spiders don't bother me much unless they're in my bedroom. I live in SW Ontario; our house spiders don't get too big. But I notice they do like the bathroom, and it's not unusual for there to be a nest in a corner.
Thank you:) for reminding us that we don't need to check everything off each week during zone blessing. I have been using a dry erase marker and putting a pink dot beside the things that I do happen to check off. Then, when the zone rolls back around, I can see the ones that do not have the pink dots from last week :) It's more fun that way! I keep my washing machine lid up 24/7 to let it air. And, I use the washing machine "clean function button" every so often with citric acid granules! That reminds me to put those on the list ;)
Another for washing machines is to leave the door open (and the soap dispenser) to allow the machine to dry out. Dry off the rubber seal with a soft cloth too, for extra insurance 😉
Thank you for another great video again, Diane. Today I was looking at your video as part of my self-care time, I enjoyed it and I was also writing down ideas about what I need to do. It's like having you over for coffee and discussing housekeeping, I love it!! And you reminded me to plan a sauna date with my bestie. Have a great time out and thanks again!
💦Freezing rain turning to 3 inches of snow❄ today in Chicago. Perfect WHB- and LOL-day to be followed by reading a book under a cozy coverlet with a cup of coffee. ☕👍 This week I will be meeting with a neighbor's teenage daughter to hire her to help me with things I cannot reach once a month or more for getting holiday boxes up and down. Asking for help is something I am working on and it feels good to help a teenager with some casual first-work experience and spending money. ❤🧺❤
Wednesday. Freshened up the baths, descaled showers and put up a new shower curtain. This morning I have an online procrastination to do and a dirt delivery just in time before deep snow arrives! Home day today. Trying Miki noodles tonight with some veg for a meatless dinner.
Good Morning Diane in Denmark my Fly Lady pal .💜👸🏻🧚🏼♂️. Today is Monday 11 November Veterans Day in the USA . Thanks for showing me the way ... your looking so grand this morning .
My favorite (free!) app for doing my routines is called "TinyGain" - It gives you only one task at a time, and you can't move on to the next step until you've completed the current one. Also, YAYYYYY I love it when you work with us!! I know you have a zillion videos of you doing these things with us, (and I watch them, time and again, when I need help in a particular zone, but) there is something so special about doing it "in real time" with you. Nothing motivates me more!! Thanks for everything, Diane!! xoxo
@@DianeinDenmark One of my big "ah-ha!" moments was after years (I'm embarrassed to admit it, but it's true - YEARS) of trying to build my morning routine and it just never got to the point of "automatic" the way Flylady promises. UNTIL, I did it consistently in the SAME ORDER each time!! Then it became like a dance I did with my house every morning. Now I know all the steps, and it turns out beautifully! Now I'm at the point where I can mix up the steps in whichever order I like. But it was only after doing it in the same order for several weeks consistently that I reached that "house is cleaning itself" feeling.
I'm zone cleaning the bathroom this week too. This will be my third round of zone cleaning. The decluttering has made such a difference and I swish and swipe regularly now.
I am switching zones this week since I was visiting children in D.C. for the kitchen zone and do not have much to do. We have a very little house and nothing needs to be done for the baths. The men kept the essentials taken care of. So happy to return to the gym this morning, since I was away. I like to sanitize light switches and door knobs every Monday. It does not take long. Small holiday surprises are hidden( I was able to purchase some consumables and some needed items in DC) .
Really liked the idea of stocking up on medicines. I'm having my teen daughter help me (partly so she learns young and partly to help keep me accountable lol). We seem to always running to the store to buy medicine when someone gets sick. The two of us decluttered the cabinet where things like that are kept and found things that needed to go on the shopping list.
Love your energy Diane, I did this yesterday, it is amazing to me how much dust (and spiders) actually get in the house. Your bathtub is just awesome!!! Thanks for sharing another great video, and you look so fit, and trim...just beautiful, even when you are cleaning. Have a wonderful evening!
I saw the violent gun crimes story affecting Copenhagen and how Denmark will be instituting some border controls between themselves and Sweden....so sorry to hear this stuff as I know you often travel between both countries to your summer home.....hope all is well and things are revert to normal soon.....it is always sad when these things happen....Big Hugs.
Hi Jo! Did you see my original videos on how to make one for yourself? Here's the playlist. ruclips.net/p/PLxIYCyTLBED-1vdMwaAhm7Z_3Br__gals I put my lists inside a plastic sheet, so I can tick them off with a white board marker and wipe off the next day, ready to start again.

Another hint is to leave your washing machine open when not in use, so it has a chance to dry out.

Glad to hear you said goodbye to the spider babies, Janet! 😁🕸🕸🕸

Ooooo, I shall go and check out TinyGain! But I like to work randomly, going through my list, to keep things "fresh". Let's see!

I’ve also read about these front loaders, wipe the gaskets after use, to prevent mold & odor build up.

Thanks, Elizabeth! 😊
Have a wonderful day and thank you for sharing💖
Another great video😀. I’ve done my Weekly Home Blessing and a LOL. Dressed to shoes , etc. getting into the ZONE🤣🤣🤣👍🖖❤️❤️
Woo hoo, go Jeannine! 👏
You are such an inspiration.
Great idea to Konmari your towels. That's definitely something that would work for me too.
Works great in the kitchen too, Barbara! That's how my teatowels/handtowels/rags are folded in a small drawer. 😀
@@DianeinDenmark Just what I need to do today. Thanks Diane
Hi Diane. Im just wondering when you do the Zone Cleaning your kids rooms. Do you do them in Zone 3 or 4 or do you have them do them?
My kids have been cleaning their own rooms since they were small 🖐😃
Thank you, I always enjoy your videos. How do you manage more than one bathroom in the flylady zones e.g an ensuite and two bathrooms?
Rotate and make sure to delegate! Kids/teens can help 😁 Flylady adds ensuite to zone 4, master bedroom.
Do you have a lot of spiders in Denmark? Usually here, they disappear in the cold months.
Hi Diane, Do you use a new piece of paper each day to tick off your routine items? :)

You ran first thing? Then got dressed to shoes? Which bathroom are you doing? All of them?
Main bathroom and toilet room on main floor. That's them all 😉
When did you go running?
@@robinastips6986 First thing in the morning, before I got dressed to day clothes.
Diane in Denmark you’re amazing!
