Your statement is ABSOLUTELY TRUE. Heck, in one of my schools, one of my teachers even TOLD ME TO MY FACE "But I don't want you to protect yourself." It's ridiculous in ways that can't even be described.
I stood up to a guy who was harassing my friend about two or three years ago.My friend was crying cause he kept making extremely rude comments about how she looked so I basically told him looks don't matter so why should he worry about them. Me and a witness reported him. The one who got in trouble was me yet I threw no insults. Wanna know the reason why I was in trouble? I was older so they assumed I did it.
The reason I dislike school is because I feel so pressured. I can’t remember anything I learn even if I write it down I start doubting myself. I also dislike school because of the embarrassment.
Yeah the whole class laughed at me in I.T. because I didn’t realise my computer volume was so high & we were doing this typing practice thing & the voice was really loud & I started crying a bit.
@:Lhee Lhee: Yeah homeschooling isn't for everyone. But to some people it's a better alternative. I hate to say it, but our schooling system in America's a joke.
@@gamingchamp6728 I don't wanna say it but here's my experience (I'm Pinoy too) even though we have online classes its like twice stressful and harder. I'm grade 8 rn and im pretty sure the seniors have it rough but damn they gave us the modules today and there were so many things to answer especially at science (70 pages) and other subjects are (10-20) and they expect us to pass the modules in around 1 week
why i hate school: -too much homework -useless classes -lack of sleep (it leads to being tired, which means im literally failing 3 subjects) -depression, anxiety, and low self-respect -having low chance to get a job i'd like
All of those are true except low chance of getting a job you like because you select the job you want unless my school is good and your school is a bitch.
Yeah school is only actually important if you want to become a teacher when you grow up, or a scientist or just something that has to do with any of the school subjects, but I feel bad for kids who want to become a firefighter or smth.
I grew up believing that high schoolers were serious people because teachers keep making them out to be but when I reached high school, everyone’s a goofy bastard lmao
I hate it when teachers ask you "What do you do in your free time?" I just wanna give them a look like "Free time? What is this 'free time' you speak of? I do not have this free time." I excel in my classes, but homework is another story. It takes ALL of my time after school, we have tests weekly, and there's always a project due soon. I almost always get 80's on my homework. There simply isn't enough time. I have a passion in writing, but I can't pursue it because of homework. Now let me ask you, teacher, Where did you take my time and why the hell did you think it was okay?
MyInvisibleRose my teacher asked me that and I answered *homework* then she asked what do you do when you’re done with your homework? I said *more homework* then she asked ok what is your sleeping schedule? I answered *Saturday to Sunday* yeah. My life sucks
Right now I’m taking my future and running it into the ground. Ha. As if. Only my parents think that. I got a single B last semester. If I succeed in pulling my weight, then I’ll never let school go for the countless hours of my life it’s wasted. If I fail, then I’ll definitely be living a freer lifestyle than most others, and eventually, I’ll either kill everyone out of boredom or eradicate the school system.
All my reading time is destroyed by homework. I want to read, write and draw stuff and let my mind ponder, I don't want to be told to write two pages of dialogue that's already in the textbook!
Especially in college. They pile work on us not caring that many students have jobs, families, or other things that are far more important than school. And also, it keeps us college students in stress mode 100% of the time.
school honestly isn’t about learning anymore. i found out just a while ago that the person who created school intended for school to be a labor camp. now, school is just about passing and getting your stuff turned in on time.
So, basically, if a topic to be learned is presented in a creative, fun, and interesting way, then it will be easier to remember? welp the school system is never going to improve
Just some guy on the internets yup. I can say that that is true because I can remember almost all the stuff that I've learned after watching a few videos from channels that upload informative content but I only remember little about what I've been taught at school (mathematics especially) but that's not always the case, if you like the subjects that you're learning and you get really great teachers teaching you the subjects that you love you'll remember whatever he or she teaches you for a few years (it's true in my case)
This person. This person right here. they get it! Most of the times, I just get bored and don't understand what I'm meant to do, even when I ask the teachers! (Though that's mostly maths and science, which are my worst subjects)
School: Your mental health is important *Also school: Here's 3 hours of homework, a test which requires a full week of study, an oral presentation which takes 2 hours to prepare. Also we won't do anything if someone bullies you*
The tokens are good adults do that as well .. the rich bully the poor , the karens bully the mcdonalds worker , the employer bullies the employee , the publisher bullies the author .. etc ..
Ender Winggin karma doesn't exist .. and ascribing such reductive meaning to people's suffering treats like a means to an end All we can do is cope with injustice the best we can and try to , as much as we can help it , insure that these things cease to happen I'm of the belief that punishment doesn't help with that , and that once someone commits a crime then the law already kind of failed . Taking out one's anger at a criminal and taking away their freedom and civil rights doesn't undo anything , and can barely be justified even if it prevents a criminal from committing more crimes , in which case it often (unfortunately) doesn't as the criminal tendancies escalate and become more problematic during jail time .. One can silence the proletariat and the disempowered by saying "karma" and "heaven and hell" but in the end it's all lies .. it's a bandaid fix for the antagonism created by unjust hierarchies
School sucks. i’ve been trying to convince my parents saying facts like “School gives me pointless projects that I shouldn’t do!” “The only benefits school gives me is somewhat ‘education’”, “School is stressing me out, and I’m starting to think that it’s pointless, especially those stupid kids at school.”, “School isn’t about education anymore, it’s just about getting good grades which’ll be pointless to your future.”, etc. Yet my parents STILL won’t keep me out of that stupid school. i’m only going to school for the sake of my parents. Yes i’m Asian -_-
I’m also Asian too and every time I try to tell my dad facts, my dad just says something stupid like “let’s say you’re at the store, and the check is 2 dollars and you gave the cash register 100$”
@@Wnnabeyours people who think bad grades will lead to a bad job are seriously idiots. What if you want to start your own business? School taught nothing about that!
We learn something we don’t care about for 8 hours straight then go home and do homework about stuff we don’t care about and we repeat and repeat for about 13 years of our life’s
school: *exists* me: crying my eyes out at 4 in the morning because of my social anxiety and panic attacks while contemplating whether to make up an excuse to not go to the hellhole that's been rotting away my brain the past decade.
Honestly like whenever I had online school last year I would cry every night bc I felt like I wasn’t going to make it into the real world so I just felt like ending everything cause I wasn’t going to do right-
i love this quote now cause if i cant sleep in school then i should not be studying at home cause thats where i chill not where i wanna learn school is i dont even like school
School is the worst when you have social anxiety. Spending 9 hours a day with people you are terrified of is horrible. And when you are constantly scared that people might talk to you or getting called on in class.
Are you trying to say "Well, break out of it"? _"Break out" of anxiety?_ Because I can assure you it is _not_ that easy. You can't just decide, "Oh, yeah I'm not gonna have anxiety anymore." Haha, I _wish._ Unfortunately, it doesn't work like that.
People say that your teenage years are the best years of your life. But we don't have much time for enjoyment. 1. Stress around grades, tests/exams. 2. Mental health, which ties in with stress. 3. Lack of sleep due to studying, and my top two points. 4. Group punishments. If two or three kids are talking, why does everyone need to be punished? 5. We are taught to think that if our grades aren't perfect, we'll never be able to get a dream job, and a happy/successful life. 6. No time for hobbies, because of school hours. 7. Students with body image issues may feel uncomfortable in subjects like PE. 8. Students with disabilities/mental illnesses are not given enough patience (in my school at least). 9. Pressure from parents/ teachers to do well. 10. Can't spend as much time with family/friends due to homework. To summarise: Poor mental health, exhaustion, loses enjoyment in hobbies, stress, pressure to do well, unfair rules and insecurities.
Me: I have ADHD. Teacher: Mhm. Me: So I get mentally tired easily and I suck at doing homework. Teacher: Ok. Me: So I need you to explain with simple terms and fun games. Teacher: Makes sense to me! Me: So explain me this. Teacher: Why don't you understand already!? I said this before!
Not exactaly that, but i Learn better when i search the things by myself insted of listen 25 minutes of a midle aged woman yelling about how frogs reproduce.
There’s a high school near where I live that helps students with special needs, has a bathroom for gender queer people, let people who want to eat alone eat alone, let some people take car to school, let you do the homework inside school, actually sorts out bullying & autistic people (or people with other disabilities) even get their own hub! Bonus: They’re very into LGBTQIA+ stuff (they have posters in majority of classrooms about it) Also I’m not sure about the cafeteria food but they let you bring your own lunch instead of having to eat their food. I’m also not sure if they let you bring devices to school but all of the above is good enough. & yes you do have to wear a uniform, but they let girls wear pants if they feel uncomfortable wearing a skirt or don’t like skirts. That’s really how schools should be.
I hate the seating in school, I’m terribly nearsighted and I always get put in the back. Now that we have to wear masks, my glasses get clouded up when I breathe in them.
You forget an important thing especially if you're at a American school, lunch. For real, they be like hm tomorrow will be expired but not today, we are so lucky that this frozen pizza is still edible enough.* Throw them harshly in a heater that make worse pizza than a microwave pizza, half heated and take them out * oops I forget to clean this heater up, oh well food shouldn't be waste, let's charge them about $10 even tho some other places sell a whole small size pizza for $7 that isn't frozen. Now make sure it has greases in them, oh perfect. Later... WhY aRe KiDs hAtE sChOoL lUnChEs?
My pizza one time wasted like hand sanitizer. Legit it tasted weird and gross. It was either my pizza or my burger, can't really remember but either way it's gross. In my old elementary school, there was a circle pizza. Packed, filled, with sauce. The tomato sauce was like 70% of the actual thing. The sauce wasn't even that good either.
The Briaormead oh get over it, in prison, you aren't aloud to escape, and you're not allowed to do a lot of things. School is a luxury and in other countries people are literally dying to get into school, so next time you compare schools to prison, think about how others feel about school.
Kaleidoroll Well then don't poop in toilet because you can use it as fertilizer tons of farmers would want that poop as fertilizer think again before pooping in toilet!... Cmon? For real? :D
Okay okay get this...imagine having school for almost a year and when summer comes either your parents or your school gives you work over the summer. HELL CAN WE NOT CATCH A DAMN BREAK?! 👿
Well, we don't have summer in Malaysia, but the teachers like to give students a lot of homework unless they're feeling like a nice person. But with all the homework gathered up from all the subjects that day is going to stress students out especially if they have the same subject the next day.
We don’t like school because teachers can’t figure out that children/teens have problems in their life too. Weather it be a family member passed, or a mental illness that is keeping the student from learning. It doesn’t really matter, if it becomes a serious problem in the person’s life it needs to be taken care of/addressed. But teachers cannot figure it out.
My grans (she was only one nice to me and listend me) unfortunately died in a fire. I was shook and was a chaos. (I’m from Croatia) My Croatian teacher (that’s a lesson, just like English in Us) said to me that I was a disappointment for not doing her homework ( it was like 7 pages and we were in 6th grade) I have done only four pages becouse I just couldn’t do it. I told her that my grandma died and she said that she probably thinks that I’m a disappointment too, that she cares only about her pay and not her students. I reported that to the principal and he said he didn’t believe me. I brought some witnesses and he said he didn’t believe us. Later on she was killed by one of her dealers. I will always hate you ms. Živković.
I know...! Recently a friend told me that some years ago she had a bad grade on a math exam because her grandpa had died a week ago, so she was bummed and school wasn’t obviously her main priority at the moment. So the teacher noticed, and he went to tell her that he was worried about her grades, and that he knew she could do better. She was just like... okay? my grandpa died? do you think I’ll give a heck about math right now? Like seriously, they expect us to do always our best and they don’t think... maybe they’re not putting effort because this is happening, or they feel like that.
I remember when a grandparent of mine died. It was during the summer... but it was still hard... and I also remember second grade. I was “the new kid” to school. I was almost always crying and hiding under the desk, and I look at it now thinking it was dumb. But a lot of the time my dad wasn’t home. And not for terrible reasons, but for work trips. And being young, I missed him a lot. The teacher, comforted me? I guess. But it still sucked.
Reasons why I hate school; -Im considered a "smart" student, so too much is expected from me. -Confusing homework can make me procrastinate for literal hours. (Once again, im considered smart, so I'm afraid to ask questions) -Rude students -"Reputation" -My friends are considered weird kids, so I'm afraid of what people think of me. -I do art, which can take lots of time; but school is taking that away from me. -Sleep loss due to homework -Stress -Childhood being wasted away -Sports/activities intertwining with time needed for homework -Rude teachers -Physical Ed (I have a condition thing [NF1] where my ankles hurt horribly after some time of walking or running, but my teachers don't care) -Etc.
Even if you're considered smart, don't be afraid to ask questions! Smart students ( or students that get good grades ) are still learning the material for the first time like the rest of the class, so they have the right to ask questions without being embarrassed or be confused when learning something for the first time. Also, rude people/students are everywhere so don't just blame school for that. It shouldn't matter what people think of you because of your friends. My hands hurt from typing so I can't answer your whole comment. Sorry!
@@wonieism that does suck. well try to look for people you could get along with the most. and also you don't have to get along with the whole world, because there is that one dude that won't like you no matter what so if someone doesn't like you that much try not too worry that much
Why do I hate school: 1. Teachers with a huge superiority and god complex 2. The bullying and that the teachers don't give a shit about it 3. Huge expectations 4. Nobody gives a damn about mental health 5. Parents are always by the teacher's side 6. Parents lack empathy for their children 7. The teachers can be abusive towards the students, we tell our parents that we dislike the teachers and the parents would blame their kids Edit: Social hierarchy in school be like: 1. Principal 2. Teachers 3. Cleaners 4. Students Edit2: I had suicidal thoughts from age 6, this is NOT normal, bullying neither
The mental health thing is way to accurate and it’s sad. They don’t give two shits about their student’s depression, anxiety, or mental issues. It’s all about *”did you do your homework?”* and I hate it.
Andrea Mae I’m glad I chose to do virtual school because I myself have anxiety and an anxiety attack could come any second. Although they usually come at night, it’s still a possibility.
“School is a place we learn things important for our lives “ Me : so where are the cooking lessons , the lessons of how to not be anxious , or how to feel better , how about bullying ? I don’t think I learned anything that might help us now . Maybe for our future job and that’s it . Maybe schools should make an effort teaching us in a different way ... we are just kids anyways . Don’t pressure us
I hate it when you're in school and you have to ASK the teacher to go to the bathroom, and even then sometimes they say NO. I am like BRO THAT WASN'T A SUGGESTION THAT WAS WARNING.
Kimidog I've stopped going to the bathroom on a regular basis at school because, not only is it embarrassing, but the bathrooms themselves are disgusting. In every school I've been to. Also, they want us to be adults, and then teach us to follow command with no complaint, and then ask to do something simple, like go to the bathroom.
Kimidog It awful and stupid when the teacher says no but I don't see how asking to go to the bathroom bad. You can't have students randomly get up and walk out of the class in a middle of a lesson.
Juliana Radulescu My school literally doesn't give a fuck about us and i like that like less homework and i have been to the principals office 2 times this year and that wasn't even in the lesson and i was the loudest kid in class
Yeah, it's partially my fault for building up my social anxiety though. It's because of me taking in a stupid comment about me talking to much from my 2nd grade teacher. But they were a great teacher! It wasn't all their fault though. But school really doesn't ask or really care about students' mental health :/
At least there’s always that really fun teacher that tells you cool stories. But for every one of those teachers there forty OH GOD PLEASE HAVE MERCY teachers.
9 hours on school + 2-3 hours of extra classes + 1-2 hours of homework? it also depends on how much homework we have like if a lot, it can take up to at most three hours. Idek how can we sleep 8 hours fully if teachers continue to give hw
YES!! luckily with at home learning now we have more flexible times to do stuff (at least for me)... before i had to cram sooooo much to study for a stupid reading circle
nah im still up till 4 in the morning watching youtube and chatting with all my online friends cause i have a sleeping problem where i cant sleep till my arms feel like noodles and they hurt and i dont sleep at summer that i have bags under my eyes even if im only in 5 grade so yeet
Social pressure every day is what's slowly killing me and I just want a real friend that won't have to move away when they graduate within a year. I don't see anyone in my own grade who I can be real with beyond just acquaintances. It's so hard to do well every day with everything to worry about.
I don't care tbh I totally understand, but trust me-true friends come in unlikely forms. People have layers, and you never truly know someone until you talk to them. I felt the same and thought I could never be real with anyone in my class, but two years later I really got to talk to a couple of my classmates and now we can really confide in each other and they're some of my favorite people.
I don't care tbh Social pressure is just one of the reasons I feel really sad all the time. Plus, I have nobody that I can relate to except for a few people. But one day they're just going to beat me in some form if I do something just a little bit wrong.
Most school systems also ignore children with learning disabilities, such as adhd, autsim, etc. It makes it really hard for us because we're put next to students without those problems and expected to act like them, and we don't get any help either. My school separates students with disabilities from students without them, which really bothers me. I have adhd, and school has never been easy for me. It's even harder now because of social distance learning.
Ok, there are quite a few reasons I hate school. Some of which I'm pretty sure everyone (or most people) can agree with, some not. 1- Repetition. My school forces me to learn life and earth science NON STOP. I've been learning it since second/third grade, and here I am halfway done 7th and we're STILL being shoved on it. And contrary to what my teachers seem to think, I DO like learning. I just don't like learning about pointless stuff I'll never use again. I don't care about the chemical makeup of cells, or the area of a parallelogram, or the diameter of a circle. I don't care about linear equations, or the parts of a sentence. 2- Expectations. Yes, studying is important. But (and this might just be for me) I haven't studied since second/third grade, and I still get all As and maybe a B once in awhile. Then again, my school labels me as "gifted" which basically means I have more pressure to do well grade-wise. I can be struggling with a math concept but yet I'm then asked to tutor someone on said concept for whatever reason. Teachers expect us to study every subject for 5-10 minutes a night, read for 30 minutes, do the 1-2 hours of written homework, check the school website, do a sport and still have friends and go to bed at a good time. And the reason why? If the class average isn't a certain number, teachers get paid less. (Well, that's what I've heard, correct me if I'm wrong.) And of course teachers need money to sustain a family. 3- Prison. We have to sit still and be quiet for 7 hours a day. (give or take depending on gym class and lunch) If we talk, we're yelled at. If we move, we're yelled at. If we don't do our work, we're yelled at. It never ends! School has put restrictions on kids and teenagers that literally limit creativity and the imagination. If we don't do something in the right way, we're yelled at. I read somewhere (correct me if I'm wrong) that homework and school are two of the MAIN CONTRIBUTORS TO DEPRESSION. That's really, really sad considering we spend the majority of our week either sleeping or in school. Depression, everybody. The same depression that drives people to suicide, self-harm, ruined relationships, and an all-around terrible mindset and life. Isn't that lovely. I envy the children who go to secondary schools. The only few things I can give public school credit for are forcing kids to be social (which is bad in a way, but personally I wouldn't talk to anybody without school.), reading+writing+basic math, and introduction to subjects that could be interesting. I actually love science. I used to love life science too, until it was so pushed onto me that I feel like crying sometimes. I have 3 pages of science homework, a study guide, and a math sheet to finish. Oops. Sorry I had to get this off my chest. If you actually read all of this, well, good job. Edit: OH MY GOSH OVER 900 LIKES THATS A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO AGREE HIGH FIVE *high fives*
sooo trueee!!!!! School goes completely against my nature.....my brain tells me to stay up and wake up late, while the school is demanding early starttimes.....and I can't cope with this.....
Me: **reads book** My teacher: What are you doing? Close that damn book, it's cheating! My math teacher: Oh wow cool story, I wanna buy this book! My english teacher: This book is perfect, you can learn more english! My science teacher: I'll give u some time to read! You cant just sit there and isolate. Me: **drawing** My teacher: FRICC THAT NOTEBOOK, GIMME THOSE ART SUPPLIES BISH My math teacher: wow ur a good artist! My english teacher: You must be drawing a lot at home honey! Teacher: if you don't want to come to school then don't. Most kids: I am being forced to come here against my will, if I don't come to school then I will be punished.
Student who believed he was free to decide: Leaves. Teacher: Well, the student is absent, which means 00 points in Presential, oral, written, and in today's exam.
The worst part about school to me is that they srsly misjudged INTELLIGENCE If you got full Mark's your'e smart If you got low marks your'e dumb That's not how intelligence works Intelligence is the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills It's not all about math and science and English There are 9 (10) types of intelligence 1. Spatial intelligence: visualizing the world in 3D 2. Intrapersonal intelligence: understanding yourself, what you feel and what you want 3 . Musical intelligence: discerning sounds, their pitch, tone, rhythm and timbre 4. Linguistic intelligence: finding the right words to Express what you mean 5. Bodily-kinesthetic intelligence : coordinating your mind with your body 6. IntERpersonal intelligence: seeing people's feelings and motives 7. Existential intelligence : tackling the question of why we live, and why we die 8. Naturalist intelligence: understanding living things and reading nature 9. Logical-mathematical intelligence: qualifying things, making hypothesis and proving them (10): spiritual intelligence : the capacity of an individual to possess a socially relevant purpose in life by understanding 'self' and having a high degree of conscious, compassion and commitment to human values. I believe school has made us think the that the "logical-mathematical intelligence" ~is~ intelligence and the rest was just a waste of time Even though schools actually taught us the 9 kinds of intelligence It still kind of bothers me when teachers are almost always interested with a kid who loves math and science rather than a kid who loves music or imagination It always bothers me that people who have a passion for math or science or literally any subject we take in school are almost always seen as the "smart people" and yes they are smart, but so are the others Everyone has intelligence, it can be more than one So never feel or think you're dumb for not being logical, or dumb for not liking science, math, history and etc Because EVERYONE HAS INTELLIGENCE Thankyou 😂
Lamar Kensara exactly 👏🏻👏🏻 i almost have all these kinds of intelligence (like interpersonal, linguistic, eye to hand movement) but school barely looks at all that and favors kids who are intelligent in math-science 😂✨
The thing I hated most is homework. Now I know that everyone hates this, but my case is an exception. I was the "Smart Kid" in 8th grade and got the best grades out of my whole class. Yet the amount of homework the school would give out would even have me sitting until 2 AM. Then I would end up going to bed at 3 or 4 AM, and would get no sleep at all, because since I lived far from my school, I had to take a bus. I had to wake up at 5 AM just to be on time for the bus, meaning that I was starting my school day with 1 or 2 hours of sleep, then I had to sit through 8 periods, trying my best not to fall asleep. 8th grade was absolute hell for me. (Sorry if any grammar mistakes, English is my second language)
Your English is great! And I feel you, I’m going to 8th grade this year but seventh grade was an absolute nightmare. I’m also known as one of the “smarter” students yet I’m one of the only people who lives like 2 hours away from my school. Like you, I didn’t get home until like 8-ish, and still had to do homework.
Same. But my teachers see my eye bugs so they let me sleep when I'm done with my seat works/whatever activity we do. Usually I wake up 4/5 am and arrive at school at 6 :30/7 am til 5 pm. I get about 2-3 hours of sleep depending if no one disturbs me or I finish my work fast enough. When I'm lucky I get 4-5 hours bc we're not doing anything :)) Also, your English is good :D
Please don't scare me I'm in 6th grade and we get hundreds of exercises for hw for the next day And now this holyday we've got literally thousands (belive me m8, counted 'em) I don't live far so I can get like 5 hours of sleep but now that I'm starting seventh grade i've got two more subjects so two more hundreds of exercises yayyy Oh and btw I somehow still manage to be a B - A student with ADHD so basically with no fucus on what I'm doing at all Srry for my English - it's not my first language either

@ilikegamesalot This is another reason you need school, to not have a reading comprehension in the negatives. I never said that school was easy, I said that it is necessary and useful. It's sad, really, how you seem so incapable of comprehending something that goes against what you already believe. I hope you one day find your way out of that bubble, but with your current mental capacity, I wouldn't trust you to find your way out of a cardboard box. Good day.
the internet teached me more things than I learned from school Seriously, what's the point of learning something if you can't even make it sound interesting, instead of taking school Online classes are way better Since YOU can record what the teacher says in class And you can listen to it all over again when you are confused
What I hate about school: Everything. The social interaction, the work, the fact that I have to get up in the morning. I know I'm smart, thats never been the problem. I just don't have the mental capacity to listen to other people say things i already know, be expected to write them down for the millionth time, or even just thinking about the process it takes to get something fully engrained in my head. I just can't do it. I don't have the motivation. Wow apparently I'm the most relatable person on the planet
THIS. I'm already someone really lazy who procrastinates alot, so having to sit still and try to learn things I couldn't care less about and forget them like the next day/week hurts my motivation to the point it doesn't exist, even for doing what I like, which mind you, I can't do because we gotta school 24/7. Also yeah I hate that they force you to have social interactions. They force me to bond with people I couldn't care less, if I want to make friends the one who should decide is ME, no one else
@@larimar3239 yes I know right? Like what are the chances that the people you meet in school are actually going to be a big part of your life in the future? Pretty small.
@@Estris as someone who actually deals with social anxiety,i can't stand it.First, the teachers expect everyone to be a social butterfuly,if you don't talk to them they would automatically not care about you at all.Infact, they would even hate you for no reason.I can't stand being screamed at and teachers scream at me all the time for the simplest mistake i make and when i get home my brother screames at me more for being a failure and not passing.I tend to almost cry everytime someone screams at me,and i get all red and stuff i just hate it.Also, the people around me can't seem to mind their own business and are just as bad as the teachers or even worse.People will mistreat you unless you're their friend, having more friends the better. But since i can't communicate normaly,i don't have many friends so lots of people see me as 'weak' and stuff.I only have 1 close friend and i don't even talk much to the other few. They don't really know me and everytime im around the other ones they seem to insult everything about me and every mistake if i try to make a new bestfriend their bestfriend would get in the way and treat me like straight up crap even though im not doing anything to them.People would only feel sorry for you if you say outloud to everyone 'yeah i deal with a mental illness' 'yeah i had a rough past' you think someone with social anxiety would go around telling everyone about it and somewhat flexing on it? Hell no,the least they want is attention.Everyone has been through stuff and i don't think it should be challenge on 'who has it worst' so everyone could treat them like a king.I want everyone to be treated fairly and i mean it.People also don't seem to see their toxic side of themselfs.Ive been around people who 'oh yeah i have depression feel sorry for me' 'ew i hate rude people' but straight up laugh at their friend for having the same birthday as me.Apperently its a disgrace being born the same day i was,and I've never done anything to them.Im serious,i don't talk to anyone at all and mind my own business but people still don't like me because of that, just because i dont talk to them.Yet they call themselves introverted. (btw I'm not trying to say you have to have social anxiety to be introverted.) I could go on and on about this but this is simply taking too long peace ✌
Reasons why I hate school: - Homework: l literally have no more time to do my hobbies -Tests/exams: guess this is obvious - Projects: *I can't express enough how much l HATE projects. I have better things to do - Group assignments: First off I'm better off alone and secondly l have no friends in my class so it's always akward - French: Why the hell do l need to learn this language? There's no point in my opinion. And even if I go to France it would be on vacation and most likely they know some English in the hotels. - Waking up early - Sport: well actually it's ok but I hate it when we have to go swimming or outside in general. Summer is very hot here 💀 - No alone time: I'm an introvert who needs a lot of alone time. In school I'm constantly around people therefore get very tired just being there Yeah that's pretty much it for my rant. Idk why you even read this
Group study is true, i mean in group study we study less, and gets pressure more, no one will study! In a group study and i have no freinds in school, so then you know, how awkward is a group study
Yes we're the same(also an introvert). I suck in group tasks, because our section is full of arrogant feeling smart students (I don't want to be a "STE" student but my parents forced me anyways). Like whenever we have group activity, some of my members were so close. That they totally do all the things without assigning anything to me, even if I want to help. (because they feel so smart that they can handle things better without me)༼ಢ_ಢ༽
I’m seriously considering dropping all my classes to lower levels because my mental health cannot handle staying up until 2-3 am every day with no social life and barely enough exercise. I am a generally smart person; give a me a math problem and I can solve it (with time lol), give me a poem and I’ll analyze it, but the anxiety levels that accompany my school work is ridiculous. My school district is one of the most competitive in the state, and it’s the reason my parents decided to move where we are, but I feel so isolated and stressed with my workload. I can’t go on like this.
I just got into middle school and I’m starting to question myself because I was good in math in elementary but once I got to middle school I started failing (and I was put in pre-AP with no choice)
Minty Bliss school is rigged. Notice how phones from the past are different now. Transportation vehicles from the past are different now. School from the past is the same. School was made for people to work in factories, sit in straight rows, be quiet, and make *Grade A products* . School needs a huge change
Ask any school child about his school and you won’t find him giving you such good reactions about it. Most of the children don’t like going to school and absolutely hate it over there. There a number of different reasons about why do kids hate school and surprisingly you’ll find most of the answers similar. Children usually love spending time in nature and exploring it. They don’t like getting tied up for anything and that’s exactly how most of them feel at their schools. They can’t express their feelings and are made bound to learn maths, history and other subjects. In fact moving or talking to the fellows is not allowed until you seek for permission and this obviously is the reason behind why a kid refuses to go to school. The most common fear a child has within is the outcome of how he has performed in exams. They get so nervous and depressed when they get to hear the result day is close that it starts bothering them. Instead of getting excited to know what improvements he have made and the outcome for his hard work, he has a fear inside. This is not his fault but he knows if he fails to get good marks, he won’t be meeting the standards of our system and the society because over here good result is a sign of intelligence. 😑😑. The thought of it makes you sick to your stomach, shitty people, shitty teacher, no fucking friends to pass the time by. This teacher apparently doesn’t trust students so she assigns groups to you and your fellow peers. "School is prison." They may not use those words, because they're too polite, or maybe they've already been brainwashed to believe that school is for their own good and therefore it can't be prison. 😐😑
We don't like school because we're smart enough to realize that after elementary, none of this shit we're doing at school is actually going to be useful in our lives. We don't need to know the parts of speech to be able to speak/write English because we use it every day of our lives, we don't need to know what makes up an atom, we don't need to know what the cubed root of x is, and we don't need to know all the metaphors and meaning of Romeo and Juliet, or what life was like in the 1500s. Those things will only matter to a small portion of the population, yet they force all of us through it anyway just for us to forget it after a test or when we graduate. We also know that we live in the age of the internet, so if we wanted to we could learn the entire curriculum in half the time it takes to do so in class. Google is our friend. We realize we are sacrificing not only our time, but mental and physical well-being for basically nothing return. What's a few sheets of paper and a pat on the back when you're sleep deprived, stressed, and probably depressed? What good does that do to your motivation levels when you get up each day knowing most of the things you're doing are useless? We realize that "because you'll have a test on it" and "because college" aren't good answers for why we're in daycare 2.0 Students could be spending our time actually learning about things we need to survive in the world, or honing our hobbies and skills which could make us money in the future if we're good enough at it. Pretty sure if they taught us something worthwhile like interpersonal relationships, how to take care of your physical and mental wellbeing, how to file taxes, how to drive (and not cost you a arm and a leg for it)how to get a job, actual job training, etc, we'd give a flying shit.
Agreed, why learn things that your going to forget after a a couple months when you could learn about things that you actually need to know and learn in the future. Why tf would the school curriculum need to teach us useless things in-depth instead of teaching us how to save money the right way and how how to make sure your mental health is okay.
Every day: I am waiting for school to end Every week: I am waiting for the weekend to begin Every school year: I am waiting for summer vacation to start School needs to change.................
Thank you school for: -depression -anxiety -bullies -fake friends -heart breaks -rejection -making my parents yell at me whenever I got an bad grade -making me absolutely trash whenever I got an bad grade And people still think why does students hates school
These days, I really learn a lot more from RUclips than school. I really believe school should be more focused on how to prepare children for life. Instead of having to waste our time learning stuff we're NEVER going to use. Let's be honest, do you think complicated Algebra will prepare us for the future? Don't get me wrong, it's always good to learn more and expand your curiosity. So that is my problem with school. Your channel is amazing, keep up the good work.
I hate school so much that I actually ENJOY getting sick because it means I get to stay home from school. It's not because I'm bullied or anything like that. (In fact I have never truly being bullied at school at at all) I just really hate school. Also I am now in a university of sorts but I still like having days of.
I took a day off yesterday because I almost passed out from exhaustion the day before and I was actually happy. Happy? About almost fainting? Look, if this is what school has led me to feel then there's obviously something wrong with the system that *needs* to change.
Because who cares about your mental health? Or who cares if you're shy or a socially awkward person your grades are way more important right? (wrong). In my opinion teachers put so much pressure on pupils. I am a person who litterly wants to throw up when i hear the words " solo talk" or "presentation". Children shouldn't be stressed out about school while grades are very important your health is the most important thing. I just wish teachers would understand that sometimes standing up and speaking in front of 20-30 or so people can be the most difficult thing ever for someone who is shy. Although talking to people can be very important for when you need to do job interviews and stuff, it shouldn't be forced, pupils should find their own confidence. Basically what I'm trying to say is that i hate going to school because it is such a stressful place. Thank you for reading.Who agrees (or disagrees) If you got up to here, i hope you have a good day x 😊💖
fluffy bunny223 I used to be okay doing something "social" like that, but it gradually got worse and worse as I kept being forced to do it. I had to do a presentation in English about "something I liked" for whatever reason, and I remember standing up to speak, having an idea of what I would say, going completely blank, and then being embarrassed and yelled at by the teacher. It's so bad now that I refused to do a 100-point project out of fear of presenting it.
fluffy bunny223 Yep i Have social problems, Anxiety, and problems with understanding things my brain does not work quickly and i have bad memory..Schools going reallllyyy good for me ain't it?
Oh god guess who read the first two rhetorical questions and felt the need to applaud. As a person who struggles with anxiety, school is hell. As a person who is *very* shy and also introverted too, school is indeed a living hell. As a person who has been lead to believe her grades prove her worth, as a result of her teacher's words despite my conscience arguing otherwise, school is actually hell. Do they not know the importance of mental health? If your mental health is not in "top condition" (excuse my wording, I'm not sure how it phrase it exactly) then it is so, _so_ difficult to get work done. It can lead to so many other issues which can affect your life. But oh don't worry as long as you work yourself into the ground and get those A's in all your subjects you'll be fine, you just need to get a grip. _(Sarcasm, of course.)_ Standing up in front of 30 people and doing a presentation is not the easiest thing in the world for some people. I believe it's very difficult for teachers to understand since in order to carry out their job effectively they have to be more outspoken, they have to get their students to listen to them and hear their voice throughout the subject being taught. It's something they are used to. But it isn't something _everyone_ is used to. Especially those who are shy, or hate being in the centre of attention. And as someone who fits that description, I hate having to speak up in class. I don't even like putting my hand up and asking for help or something! I'll either go see the teacher privately or just leave whatever question I have unanswered. It's just a horrible experience I have to endure every day. I just wish these issues were more spoken about, especially the mental health situation. School's don't even teach it. I bet if I asked a selection of students from my school "what is anxiety?" they will reply with "when someone feels nervous" and then immediately declare they have anxiety as soon as they feel pressured ever so slightly. I just wish it was taught in health classes or something. It's so important, but why haven't people seemed to realize this yet? I guess I feel this way as someone who is currently experiencing these issues, but it genuinely upsets me and I wish I could do something about it, but as per usual, I'm powerless in this sense. ( Sorry for kind of going on a rant here but I really wanted to get this out. I hope you have a good day too! :) )
school is the most toxic thing ever. i’ve never felt like i can truly be myself at school becuase i’m scared to get judged and i’m quite sensitive. i don’t mind school i have a few amount of friends but it’s just so toxic
Reasons I hate school: 1. Being caged in a building with no freedom to go where I want... 2. ...7 hours a day, 5 days a week 3. The other students are silly, annoying and intolerant to those who are different 4. The lessons are boring and uninspiring 5. The work set kills my passion for learning and makes me not want to bother 6. The homework takes up all of my free time and yet doesn't help me at all 7. The pressure to do well in exams is horrendous 8. They tell you if you fail school you'll go nowhere in life 9. Really subpar support for those with mental illnesses or learning disabilities 10. Being told what to do all. the. bloody. time. without any chance for free, fun self-directed learning 11. Being told that school is the centerpiece of my existence and nothing else matters 12. School _causing_ 90% of my mental issues (cheers guys!) 13. Teachers treat me like I'm stupid + just another machine to be programmed to get an A 14. The oppressive atmosphere and pressure to conform 15. Getting up far, far too early in the morning. ....And I'm not even halfway through the list -_-
Dominique Gomez but guess what, the pressure to do well in exams doesn’t get better after school. Uni can put even more pressure on you, it depends on what your studying.if you go to law school in Germany for example you basically study four years straight and up till the last semester you just have to pass. After that you then have one massive exam where everything from the last four years is tested and the grade you get then basically determines your future as a lawyer. Now THATS pressure. You can’t avoid pressure all together. You gotta learn how to deal with it at some point.
Ok, here's my little rant. First off, homework was actually designed as a form of punishment for students who refused to do work in class. And now it's like homework has become your "extra study" if you will. I love teachers who will never give out homework unless it's work that can actually be done in the lesson, because it teaches students to use their time wisely and rewards those who finish their work with free time. Teachers who make homework as "extra class time" are so despicable simply because it is asking us to do more than what we can process. Like literally, I cannot take in 3+ hours worth of learning without my brain frying (for just one subject). Secondly, the education system needs a reform. I was lucky enough to attend a school where in one grade, we spend an entire term in a different learning environment. I'm not going to name this school, but if you do think about attending it, it is very expensive for just one student. But during this 1 term, it was actually amazing and fun. It allowed us to expand upon our creativity and imagination, and even taught us how to go about in the real world. Like seriously, some days we had activities where for a day, we could walk through the city doing whatever the hell we wanted as long as we still participated in this orienteering game (which had a great prize for the winning team) and met up with our teachers at given locations at given times. It was like planning out the day for ourselves (in groups of course) on the spot. We still had our regular classes such as maths, english, science, etc. But it was so much learning. Everyone you'd be so excited to get up and go to school because you knew it was going to be a good time. Even people who weren't "smart" ended up being so good at these activities because these were actual "life skills". And of course, some of the nerdy people weren't so high in achieving big scores because grading in this term had nothing to do with scores and statistics. And finally, sleep. As a swimmer who gets up super early to go for a morning then go to school, and then even go to the pool again in the afternoon; I am so tired that I need my sleep. Seriously, schools start way too early. My swimming sessions only start so early so that they can work around school. My coach doesn't even have to work until 9am, and yet we swim 5:30am to 7:30am. I am happy to sometimes give up a swimming session so I can study, but this should not be a regular thing. My life does not revolve around school until I'm 18. Please schools, I don't just swim to be fit, it is also my mental health support. Swimming helps me relieve stress and anxiety. If I can't swim, I am putting my mental health at risk. My insanity is only loose in the pool. I don't need to be insane for my whole life. Thank you for reading my rant if you made it to the end.
I'm a swimmer too, and I also play the guitar and the piano. I sing and write songs sometimes when I have free time, so it helps me the same way as you!
FINALLY SOMEONE WITH THE ACCURATE RESEARCH yes it’s true that *homework was meant to be a punishment for children who didnt like doing their work* if yall dont believe it search it up
@@zafaii9354 That's why Homework is restrictive in my country! You don't have to do homework but when you disobey, you will do homework. It's simple as that.
Crunchy Man I hate myself for going along with school and saying I loved it. I only like the social interactions and even then once you have a bad class, you have that unless you want to deal with being new in another class or something and you also have the stupid girls who brag about having horses and goats. (Might be me but I live in an area where people do and it’s so annoying because I love video games and not girly stuff. I am female.)
I told my teacher about that, she said research shows it actually helps us blah blah blah. But honestly? I'm the student here. I know if it's working or not, _and it isn't._
Moving into AP sciencr classes, this is the exact problem. I was taught how to memorizes things, not apply them, so I have a difficult time understanding.
Why I hate school: •Expectations for students are too high •The annoying ass kids that go there •The fact I have to wake up at 6 am every morning to learn shit that has nothing to do with the career I hope to have in the future •Studies have shown that kids who go to school in the afternoon perform better academically so why the hell do I still have to wake up so early •I've been learning the same thing in English for 3 years •The lunch is disgusting freaking chocolate milk with chicken wtf Why I like school: •My friends that's it lol
Grade 7: you guys are really bad at welcoming me to class, even grade 6 can do better! Grade 8: you guys are really bad at welcoming me to class, even grade 7 can do better! Grade 9: you guys are really bad at welcoming me to class, even grade 8 can do better! Grade 10: you guys are really bad at welcoming me to class, even grade 9 can do better!
Or it’s this: Highschool: Why are you talking? This isn’t elementary school! Elementary school: Why are you talking? This isn’t kindergarten! Like just STFU
I didn't always hate school. In fact, I used to love it in early elementary school, when there was much more interactive, hands-on work and the other kids didn't judge you for anything. Now there is more emphasis on the things we likely will never use again, like trinomials and cell homeostasis. Our intelligence is determined by how much information we can regurgitate onto a piece of paper after having it shoved down our throats rather than based on how our brains actually work. Students should have individualized teaching so we get the best learning experience with things that we actually plan to use delivered in a way that we learn from. It would likely require more teachers, but that would mean more jobs available for people.
But one of the main reasons I dread going to school now is being surrounded by the people who judge you for merely existing, for no reason whatsoever. This next part is more personal. I've had this thing called misophonia since the 4th or 5th grade, and to put it simply, I can't stand hearing certain noises. Things like whistling, pen clicking, and tongue clicking make me put me in a severe level of discomfort (I wish I knew why). And what noises am I forced to hear every single day, with almost no break? Yup. And during elementary school, I pretty much learned the hard way that if you tell someone to stop doing something, they're going to keep doing it. I've tried telling teachers to do something about it (like tell them to stop or just silence the room), but they either do nothing or tell me to ignore it. So I go through every day just waiting for the day I mentally snap. (I just realized how cringey/edgy that sounds, but that's pretty much how I feel).
PirateUnicorn I have an issue with people chewing gum constanly at my school, and just end up bring ear plugs with me. It usually works out that the teacher is loud enough that I can still here the teacher talk, but not the students and there grosd mouths. I'm not sure if this helps you, but I understand the discomfort of others noises and it sucks.
+Elzra Yeah, I've tried that a couple times. I just have to be a little careful since my hair is kind of short and some teachers don't allow headphones during class. Also I like your picture ;o)
Also I think I might have misophonia from the description its giving me :L Who knew Its coughing and sniffling and grunting cough stuff for me.. I honestly wonder lel
why i hate it: 1. Stressful 2. The teachers say it isn't much when it 12 pages and they expect to get it done in one night 3. It takes up all my energy 4. They expect us to be awake when we have to be there early and they give us way to much homework 5. Teachers always say they wont allow bullying but if its a student they like they will deny they are bullying you 6. High Expectations 7. Teachers say they care but they don't even remember my name 8. If you aren't a favorite they will send you to detention for litterly anything 9. They always push you to talk to people, unless your friends with that person 10. The food is disgusting 11. They expect you to do everything they ask perfectly 12. You do one thing wrong and they punish you for weeks 13. How they pick if your a good student or not is unfair, Some of the bullies in my school are the teachers favorites 14. They don't give you any free time, At lunch you HAVE to eat, At recess you HAVE to go outside and be active, and at specials you still have to do something 15. They expect you to do work at home after you went through all that at school (My school even gives work on weekends) 16. They actually expect you to be getting enough sleep and stay awake in class when they don't even give you enough time to sleep. 17. They teach us things we will never need, Like that Vincent Van Gogh cut off his upper ear 18. The schedule is messed up 19. They don't teach us things we will need, like how to count taxes or buy a house. 20. We give our opinion to the teacher, and she gives us a whole list of why we are wrong 21. If we tell them we are stressed they are like "Oh your too young to be stressed, stop lying" 22. They treat us like we are 3 and expect us to act like we're 37 edit: added some stuff School is basically prison for kids/teens
Being someone who went from one of the smartest students to literally someone who's barely managing to keep up grades, it's terrible. Expectations: 10x worse Stress: infinite Menatal health: hanging by a thread Country of origin: the dumbest country ever when it comes to mental health issues, especially for students. The school system here: worse than any western country Me: someone wrong in the wrong place, body, and living with a reputation which is now so damn difficult to keep up and I wanna give up but i can't. Why? "Mental health? What does it mean?" "It's all just cuz ur on your phone" "the reputation of the family name depends on you"
Fun fact: this school system was made during industrialization and was made to educate the workers . That is the reasons it has a particular timing for everything called periods just like a life of a worker. So the school was made only for kids to be made disciplined to work in induatries. I am not talking about the system before the industrialization
School: School is about learning not memorizing! Also School: you NEED to remember who discovered america, how many americans died during the vietnam (blah blah blah)
Statutory Ape well learning about oppression in the past is important because if they didn’t know some people wouldn’t understand why racism hurts so badly but tbh it’s sad when all we learn about my race is that we were enslaved and oppressed and we had to get out of it like... dang they didn’t do ANYTHING else?
What the actual fuck,on this I disagree im sorry but uh- how the fuck would you feel if you died maybe as a kid not even a teenager dieing a horrible death only for someone to say blah blah blah. God no wonder they teach us this its for fucking assholes like you.
I hate school for a completely different reason. I hate the repetition, I hate how cars and phones have been improved but school never has. I hate how we're expected to consume all this information we will never need other than for a single standardised test. I hate how the person who created standardised tests pointed out that they were too cruel to use and yet we still use them. I hate how teachers have so many more rights and so much more authority than students, as if we don't matter or are a burden. I hate how school ignores my mental health because they've never SEEN me had a panic attack, or purely because I don't show visible signs of being unwell. I hate how unless I actually vomit, I am deemed not unwell enough to be cared for. I hate how teachers act so high and mighty and ignore everyone else's rights. I hate how teachers are allowed to yell and verbally abuse students, but the student in question is not allowed an opinion. I hate how teachers ignore what students need to know and instead fill their minds up with calculus and plant cells. In short, schools need to change. Now.
IntrovertedMuffin I think I understand what you think about teachers, but we shouldn't blame them all the time. For example,my Arts and Crafts teacher yells all the time...but since the students are always saying that she is crazy,I can understand why she does that. They seem to not care about learning at least one thing or two. Another example:last year(2015-2016)I had a panic attack and my English teacher made all my classmates go inside the classroom inmediatly. She said I could go to the bathroom if I wanted to.From that day on,she did all she could to avoid another panic attack. She supported me.I wish I could have done something for her;a lot of the students didn't listen to her. Of course, there are teachers who aren't getting the fact I don't like DANCING,ACROSPORT and other stuff(cof, cof,P.E teacher, cof, cof). But,my point is,not all teachers are bad.
It shouldn't matter what the students do, teachers should not be allowed to yell at students without letting the students have an opinion. At least, our two schools seem very different.
Yeah, not all teachers are bad, but the ones that are blame the kids for their behavior, even though that's not always the case. I once had a teacher who talked to me during recess and tried to help me bond with someone in the class, as I often cried for no reason and was insanely lonely. She was literally the greatest.
"This knowledge might become useful in the future" Me: If the knowledge of plant sex is gonna be useful in the future then I might as well memorize Harry Potter spells because that might be useful too!
Why do I hate school: - we don't sleep well - some teachers DON'T know how to have pacient with us. - The breaks are too small. - we almost spend all our childhood on it, I am sure that no one in theese days spend well the childhood because of school. - Some teachers just destroy or dreams. - We spend almost all day on school. - too much work too do
How long are your breaks? Usually we have a 30 minute one, Lunch which is 1 hour, and a 15-25 minute one in the afternoon. On Friday's we get 1-2 hours for chilling :D
My school gives me like a 30 page booklet of worksheets on every vacation. And not to mention each worksheet is like a literal project, I get like 6 of those worksheets in my booklet. *WHY? JUST WHYYYYYYYYY!*
@@78anurag When I say no most of my teacher are bitches almost all high school teachers are bitches and the yes part well my school does events and all and the students there are cool.
That happens to me a few times and I hate being embarrassed and most of my class has the "popular kids" and it sucks. Especially when you have an IEP it doesn't help at all😔😔
@i am a child of god and this is why I can’t ask for help. I can’t ask for help because the teacher will just say “YoU WeRe NoT PaY AtTeNnTiOn >>:((“ it’s really embarrassing and then the teachers wonder why nobody asks for help. It’s hard to remember what happened in school because it’s just so much you have to learn and it’s really boring. So teachers if you were wondering why nobody asks for help it’s because you technically don’t allow them to.
@@м3н I know that feeling. I needed help one time and my teacher said it to the whole class and didnt even helped me like I'm so scared to ask for help bc of that reason.
same, when my teacher asked questions she would always say “its okay to be wrong, atleast you tried” but when my friend decided to answer, and she got the wrong answer, my teacher said “if you dont know just say you dont know! i hate it when you don’t know the answer but still tried” like bitcj wtf
this is exactly why people are quiet when they ask if somebody had questions. i sit there hoping someone asks the question i need know because i dont want to ask. i also have major anxiety so it doesnt help me
Even parents find schools unbearable for their children. No matter how many times they file a lawsuit or complaint, the schools would always find a way to to sweep the files under the rug and pretend that it doesn't exist. I mostly blame school system for treating school districts like a competition.
Isn't it ironic how teachers say, "Be a leader not a follower," Yet once we try to stand up for ourselves or others, we get punished?

The reason I dislike school is because I feel so pressured. I can’t remember anything I learn even if I write it down I start doubting myself.
I also dislike school because of the embarrassment.
I can relate
Yeah the whole class laughed at me in I.T. because I didn’t realise my computer volume was so high & we were doing this typing practice thing & the voice was really loud & I started crying a bit.
Its started to grow into my actual thoughts. I find that as long as I keep thinking about school I start to forget other facts. It worries me.

why i hate school:
-too much homework
-useless classes
-lack of sleep (it leads to being tired, which means im literally failing 3 subjects)
-depression, anxiety, and low self-respect
-having low chance to get a job i'd like

I have a passion in writing, but I can't pursue it because of homework.
Now let me ask you, teacher, Where did you take my time and why the hell did you think it was okay?

If I fail, then I’ll definitely be living a freer lifestyle than most others, and eventually, I’ll either kill everyone out of boredom or eradicate the school system.
All my reading time is destroyed by homework. I want to read, write and draw stuff and let my mind ponder, I don't want to be told to write two pages of dialogue that's already in the textbook!

Also I’m not sure about the cafeteria food but they let you bring your own lunch instead of having to eat their food. I’m also not sure if they let you bring devices to school but all of the above is good enough.

Živković.
Oh my...
That’s just... sad.
I feel like many teachers are aware of the fact but they just don't care and want to be paid or end the day at any cost.
Reasons why I hate school;
-Im considered a "smart" student, so too much is expected from me.
-Confusing homework can make me procrastinate for literal hours. (Once again, im considered smart, so I'm afraid to ask questions)
-Rude students
-"Reputation"
-My friends are considered weird kids, so I'm afraid of what people think of me.
-I do art, which can take lots of time; but school is taking that away from me.
-Sleep loss due to homework
-Stress
-Childhood being wasted away
-Sports/activities intertwining with time needed for homework
-Rude teachers
-Physical Ed (I have a condition thing [NF1] where my ankles hurt horribly after some time of walking or running, but my teachers don't care)
-Etc.
Sorry!

1. Teachers with a huge superiority and god complex
2. The bullying and that the teachers don't give a shit about it
3. Huge expectations
4. Nobody gives a damn about mental health
5. Parents are always by the teacher's side
6. Parents lack empathy for their children
7. The teachers can be abusive towards the students, we tell our parents that we dislike the teachers and the parents would blame their kids

Kimidog It awful and stupid when the teacher says no but I don't see how asking to go to the bathroom bad. You can't have students randomly get up and walk out of the class in a middle of a lesson.

YES!! luckily with at home learning now we have more flexible times to do stuff (at least for me)... before i had to cram sooooo much to study for a stupid reading circle
Why tf at 7-
You gonna wake up at 3am with 8 hours of sleep by that time you sleep
@@the_hanburger I'd be glad to have that much sleep. If I'm lucky I get like 5 hours.
nah im still up till 4 in the morning watching youtube and chatting with all my online friends cause i have a sleeping problem where i cant sleep till my arms feel like noodles and they hurt and i dont sleep at summer that i have bags under my eyes even if im only in 5 grade so yeet
Kids need 6-8 hours of sleep
School: 6-8= -1
Social pressure every day is what's slowly killing me and I just want a real friend that won't have to move away when they graduate within a year. I don't see anyone in my own grade who I can be real with beyond just acquaintances. It's so hard to do well every day with everything to worry about.
Hard work and dedication pays off.
MiMi Star ogres have layers like onions and people
I don't care tbh
Social pressure is just one of the reasons I feel really sad all the time. Plus, I have nobody that I can relate to except for a few people. But one day they're just going to beat me in some form if I do something just a little bit wrong.
I know exactly what you feel man...

The worst part about school to me is that they srsly misjudged INTELLIGENCE
If you got full Mark's your'e smart
If you got low marks your'e dumb
That's not how intelligence works
Intelligence is the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills
It's not all about math and science and English
There are 9 (10) types of intelligence
1. Spatial intelligence: visualizing the world in 3D
2. Intrapersonal intelligence: understanding yourself, what you feel and what you want
3 . Musical intelligence: discerning sounds, their pitch, tone, rhythm and timbre
4. Linguistic intelligence: finding the right words to Express what you mean
5. Bodily-kinesthetic intelligence : coordinating your mind with your body
6. IntERpersonal intelligence: seeing people's feelings and motives
7. Existential intelligence : tackling the question of why we live, and why we die
8. Naturalist intelligence: understanding living things and reading nature
9. Logical-mathematical intelligence: qualifying things, making hypothesis and proving them
(10): spiritual intelligence : the capacity of an individual to possess a socially relevant purpose in life by understanding 'self' and having a high degree of conscious, compassion and commitment to human values.
I believe school has made us think the that the "logical-mathematical intelligence" ~is~ intelligence and the rest was just a waste of time
Even though schools actually taught us the 9 kinds of intelligence
It still kind of bothers me when teachers are almost always interested with a kid who loves math and science rather than a kid who loves music or imagination
It always bothers me that people who have a passion for math or science or literally any subject we take in school are almost always seen as the "smart people" and yes they are smart, but so are the others
Everyone has intelligence, it can be more than one
So never feel or think you're dumb for not being logical, or dumb for not liking science, math, history and etc
Because EVERYONE HAS INTELLIGENCE
Thankyou 😂
Lamar Kensara exactly 👏🏻👏🏻 i almost have all these kinds of intelligence (like interpersonal, linguistic, eye to hand movement) but school barely looks at all that and favors kids who are intelligent in math-science 😂✨
Wow.
i just learned more from this comment than school will ever teach me

SO YOU DO LIKE SCHOOL??😲
When I'm lucky I get 4-5 hours bc we're not doing anything :))
Also, your English is good :D
Please don't scare me
I'm in 6th grade and we get hundreds of exercises for hw for the next day
And now this holyday we've got literally thousands (belive me m8, counted 'em)
I don't live far so I can get like 5 hours of sleep but now that I'm starting seventh grade i've got two more subjects so two more hundreds of exercises yayyy
Oh and btw I somehow still manage to be a B - A student with ADHD so basically with no fucus on what I'm doing at all
Srry for my English - it's not my first language either

@ilikegamesalot Doesn't matter. I'm arguing that school is necessary and complaining about it is whiny, not that everyone has to love it.
Good day.
the internet teached me more things than I learned from school
Seriously, what's the point of learning something if you can't even make it sound interesting, instead of taking school
Online classes are way better
Since YOU can record what the teacher says in class
And you can listen to it all over again when you are confused
What I hate about school:
Everything.
Yes the social stuff is the worst
I have never related to anything more.

School gave me aneixty because if If I get bad grades, my dad will spank me with a stick.

Reasons why I hate school:
- Homework: l literally have no more time to do my hobbies
-Tests/exams: guess this is obvious
- Projects: *I can't express enough how much l HATE projects. I have better things to do
- Group assignments: First off I'm better off alone and secondly l have no friends in my class so it's always akward
- French: Why the hell do l need to learn this language? There's no point in my opinion. And even if I go to France it would be on vacation and most likely they know some English in the hotels.
- Waking up early
- Sport: well actually it's ok but I hate it when we have to go swimming or outside in general. Summer is very hot here 💀
- No alone time: I'm an introvert who needs a lot of alone time. In school I'm constantly around people therefore get very tired just being there
Yeah that's pretty much it for my rant. Idk why you even read this
Homework and exams are literally just ways to waste our time 😑
Group study is true, i mean in group study we study less, and gets pressure more, no one will study!
Agree
But to be fair, even if they DID know English in some hotels, we shouldn't expect them to naturally just speak English.
They said use self defense when you get bullied but when it actually does. They say you're the bully yourself and punish both people smh 🙄
They actually punished only me when I defended myself.

I can’t go on like this.

crystalx, you right especially in this pandemic. I feel you. I'm mentally tired of school.
We realize that "because you'll have a test on it" and "because college" aren't good answers for why we're in daycare 2.0
Students could be spending our time actually learning about things we need to survive in the world, or honing our hobbies and skills which could make us money in the future if we're good enough at it. Pretty sure if they taught us something worthwhile like interpersonal relationships, how to take care of your physical and mental wellbeing, how to file taxes, how to drive (and not cost you a arm and a leg for it)how to get a job, actual job training, etc, we'd give a flying shit.
Agreed.
Agreed, why learn things that your going to forget after a a couple months when you could learn about things that you actually need to know and learn in the future. Why tf would the school curriculum need to teach us useless things in-depth instead of teaching us how to save money the right way and how how to make sure your mental health is okay.
Even my teachers are like : your not even going to need this for the future but let's learn it anyway

Wheres my right to say a opinion
Thank you for reading.Who agrees (or disagrees) If you got up to here, i hope you have a good day x 😊💖
fluffy bunny223
I used to be okay doing something "social" like that, but it gradually got worse and worse as I kept being forced to do it.
_(Sarcasm, of course.)_
Standing up in front of 30 people and doing a presentation is not the easiest thing in the world for some people.

Hey, rants/tangents are awesome!
fluffy bunny223 I'm much better talking to people 1 on 1 than doing a presentation in front of 30 people.
stop making relatable comments im tired of liking all of them
lmao.
true lol!
Imma add my own :D
Same
This is relatable-
school is the most toxic thing ever. i’ve never felt like i can truly be myself at school becuase i’m scared to get judged and i’m quite sensitive. i don’t mind school i have a few amount of friends but it’s just so toxic
Same, I am also quite sensitive and I, too also think about what others think about me at school
Reasons I hate school:
1. Being caged in a building with no freedom to go where I want...
2. ...7 hours a day, 5 days a week
3. The other students are silly, annoying and intolerant to those who are different
4. The lessons are boring and uninspiring
5. The work set kills my passion for learning and makes me not want to bother
6. The homework takes up all of my free time and yet doesn't help me at all
7. The pressure to do well in exams is horrendous
8. They tell you if you fail school you'll go nowhere in life
9. Really subpar support for those with mental illnesses or learning disabilities
10. Being told what to do all. the. bloody. time. without any chance for free, fun self-directed learning
11. Being told that school is the centerpiece of my existence and nothing else matters
12. School _causing_ 90% of my mental issues (cheers guys!)
13. Teachers treat me like I'm stupid + just another machine to be programmed to get an A
14. The oppressive atmosphere and pressure to conform
15. Getting up far, far too early in the morning.
....And I'm not even halfway through the list -_-
Plus people don't want to be a help to society in isolation for 5 days a week while having that add up to their other 20,000 problems.
dont forget that teachers expect you to act like adults but treat you like a kid -_-
Dominique Gomez I don’t get the meaning behind school because most successful people dropped out of school
I sing and write songs sometimes when I have free time, so it helps me the same way as you!
nice

•Expectations for students are too high
•The annoying ass kids that go there
•The fact I have to wake up at 6 am every morning to learn shit that has nothing to do with the career I hope to have in the future
•Studies have shown that kids who go to school in the afternoon perform better academically so why the hell do I still have to wake up so early

I learned more cell based stuff from a video game than I ever did with school
Also I think I might have misophonia from the description its giving me :L
Who knew
Its coughing and sniffling and grunting cough stuff for me..
I honestly wonder lel
why i hate it:
1. Stressful
2. The teachers say it isn't much when it 12 pages and they expect to get it done in one night
3. It takes up all my energy
4. They expect us to be awake when we have to be there early and they give us way to much homework
5. Teachers always say they wont allow bullying but if its a student they like they will deny they are bullying you
6. High Expectations
7. Teachers say they care but they don't even remember my name
8. If you aren't a favorite they will send you to detention for litterly anything
9. They always push you to talk to people, unless your friends with that person
10. The food is disgusting
11. They expect you to do everything they ask perfectly
12. You do one thing wrong and they punish you for weeks
13. How they pick if your a good student or not is unfair, Some of the bullies in my school are the teachers favorites
14. They don't give you any free time, At lunch you HAVE to eat, At recess you HAVE to go outside and be active, and at specials you still have to do something
15. They expect you to do work at home after you went through all that at school (My school even gives work on weekends)
16. They actually expect you to be getting enough sleep and stay awake in class when they don't even give you enough time to sleep.
17. They teach us things we will never need, Like that Vincent Van Gogh cut off his upper ear
18. The schedule is messed up
19. They don't teach us things we will need, like how to count taxes or buy a house.
20. We give our opinion to the teacher, and she gives us a whole list of why we are wrong
21. If we tell them we are stressed they are like "Oh your too young to be stressed, stop lying"
22. They treat us like we are 3 and expect us to act like we're 37

Now.
Thank you. Thank you so much.
IntrovertedMuffin Maybe because we must be in different countries.
Yeah, not all teachers are bad, but the ones that are blame the kids for their behavior, even though that's not always the case. I once had a teacher who talked to me during recess and tried to help me bond with someone in the class, as I often cried for no reason and was insanely lonely. She was literally the greatest.
