+DarkAnti Disagree. This one actually had some actual content, not a 10 best Anime Heroes that We Love this Week!!!! Also Looper does a better job at keeping the videos short and sweet
+Venom NBK What is it like seeing it getting so much attention these days without 90's players getting more attention/credit for their discovery of it back then?
I'll have you know, Calendar Man may not look the charmer but he's a gentle, caring soul who doesn't deserve such slander. The fact he's locked up in Arkham City is besides the point...
One you missed - Prison architect after 3 years of this being implemented the creators revealed that there is a hidden button on the menu that turns the whole game 3D. :)
+austinfauth3062 That easter egg was only active since the 1.0 release and not during the 3 year ongaoin alpha. So since November 2015. It took about six months to find, not three years.
If you want to go further with the Calendar Man Easter Egg, he actually does appear at "batman's end". He's in the crowd surrounding Wayne Manor in Arkham Knight (if you've played the game, you'll know when this is, trying to avoid spoilers.)
+wundrweapon u can see it in the bios for zombies take the first letter of each stanza and it spells out when combine something about. The doctor is evil that bastard something like that
I actually accidentally found Chris's room, i was running with the boots, and chopped through some plants, and fell down the hole just as a bee stung me. I tried going back down there, but couldnt. Never really thought about it until not long ago when i was told it was an Easter egg.
My brother and I found the Chris Houlihan room all the way back when LttP first came out. We didn't know how we found it so we could never make it happen again and I don't think I ever told anyone about it. It definately didn't take years to find that one.
I remember that in Star Wars Rogue Squadron for the N64 had the Naboo Starfighter as a hidden vehicle. The game came out a while before Star Wars Episode I and I remember being impressed that a secret was held on until the movie came out. I dont think it qualifies as a very long time... but I find it still noteworthy.
im surpised the crash bandicoot racing demo (i think thats what it was) wasnt listed here. apparently years later a cheat code was discovers that actually unlocked the full game.
+GAME PRO24X I think it's because it wasn't much of a cheat as much as a developer tool. I heard at the time it was easier to lock parts of the game than it was to just make a smaller demo version...
Chris Houlihan's name is forever immortalized in a smash hit classic piece of videogame history. Even if it's hidden in a hard, nigh impossible to find room, that's still an awesome prize imo. Someday he can show his grandkids what the early days of videogames were like and when they get to A Link to The Past, he can tell them "Hey guess what, your grandad's name is in this game."
1991's Fantastic Dizzy contained a hidden puzzle that was only discovered in November 2009, almost 20 years after the game's release. The puzzle involved finding the hidden symbol for singer-songwriter Prince, and throwing it into a pool, triggering a purple rain secret. You can see how it was discovered in a thread by searching 'Fantastic Dizzy Purple Rain'. The developer responsible even acknowledges its discovery. Would have been apt for this video considering Prince passed away a day after this was published.
+ragestew yeah that one was really unnecessary. colander man won't have any luck with supermodels, but there's gonna be a few equally unattractive psycho chicks calendar obsessions that would be eager to hook up with him. Then again the announcer sounds like one of those vapid alpha bitch types that probably assumes ugly people serve no purpose and should spend their life hiding in a cave.
I assume this might already be known but in MegaMan 3 on NES there is a second controller glitch that gives you invincibility & super jump 1. plug in second controller 2. find a way to hold down the left or right D-pad button (this gives you super jump) 3. find a pitfall & Jump in 4. After death sound jump out And now you'll take no damage cause the health meter is empty but you can't use your main blaster .. Just switch to rush mode but don't fire off all the shots until the Boss fight. Then after every Boss fight repeat steps and use which ever new ability you gain. I found this by accident when i was about 9 or 10 cause someone left the second controller plugged in and it was stuck under the couch cushion i was sitting on.. After some trial and error i found the button i pressed the right way to die to initiate the glitch. This glitch also works on the emulator version of the game.. FYI so much easier to do when you can map the buttons!!!

SPOILERS FOR ARKHAM KNIGHT. it's worth mentioning that Calendar Man showed up during the ending cinematic of the game when Wayne Manor blew up. if you look a bit towards the left of the crowd while Bruce is walking into the mansion, you can see Calendar Man's head looking towards the mansion while Vicki Vale is reporting on the whole thing.
When calendar man says " I was there at your beginning, and I'll be there at your end." Is more than just a reference to Arkham Knight. In the final scene of Arkham Knight, when you activate the Knightfall Protocol, calendar man can be seen standing in the crowd outside of Wayne Manor while the news reporter is talking. They didnt specifically mention that scene in this video but I thought it was pretty cool. He was literally there at Batman's "end"
I actually found this batman Easter egg before it was even announce but I thought it was nothing It happened to me because I have a jtag Xbox 360 if you don't connect to the Internet the date will be in 2004-2005
I had gotten the protect ring from them on my own during one of my many playthroughs, I didn't know it was an Easter egg since I figured it a side quest... ff 9 was my favorite
Putting in easter eggs in your game is more of an art form. You want it to be challenging to find but not take too long. If it's 10+ years later and no one has found your easter egg, you shouldn't have bothered and you wasted your time.
Calender man one was cool. I knew you could do something where you went on each holiday date to unlock a message from him but never knew about the "beginning/end" speech. Because he WAS there at the end. You can see him in the crowd when Wayne Manor explodes at the end of Arkham Knight.
Wonder how many easter eggs will never be found, due to the people that made them being dead. Someone would have to get extremely lucky to find them than.
I feel like if i had played this game when I was younger I wouuld have noticed it. There must of ben dozens, if not hundreds of kids, playing in their dark rooms, on their box TVs that notice whenever they needed to punch, that one guy would do something. And the camera would flash. Who just never shared it or something.
+CadaverJunky8 In Batman Arkham Knight Calendar man can be seen in the audience which is waiting outside of Wayne manor when it blows. Of course referencing the 'i will be there at your end' from the clip shown in the video. Very cool Easter egg indeed. Google Batman Arkham Knight: Calendar Man Easter Egg if you want to see it for yourself.
That FF9 one.. I knew about that for soooo many years. Then again FF9 is my favorite game, and favorite Final Fantasy. Probably played it through several hundred times and completed everything. I didn't realize that quest was a "hidden" one nobody knew about.
+Eternally Angelic I imagine a lot of these these were likely have been found many times over, but not documented. Also finding them is one thing, knowing what you found and how you did it is another. I remember at one point randomly encountering the Chris Houlihan room years ago but not thinking much of it at the time. I'll add too that the players guide to FF9 had a weird PlayOnline tie in directing those who bought the book to "Look it up." and all that work for a protect ring? Its no wonder this little secret slipped threw the cracks.
I don't remember that Chris Houlihan one being all that hard to find. I found it the first weekend I got Zelda for xmas when I was a kid. I didn't have internet at the time so I couldn't look up what it meant but I did have a subscription to Nintendo Power so I found out what it was about a few weeks later on the toilet.
In April of 2016, a (great, by the way) RUclips channel called "Looper" revealed that Final Fantasy IX protagonist Zidane's name was actually pronounced "Zi-don-ee," a fact not heard of in the 16 years since the game's release.
My favorite secret, and one that qualifies, is the Dragon Quest V (Super Famicom version only!) 100% critical/recruitment trick. It took ten years to find, and was found by a rom hacker who happened to spot something unusual in the attack algorithm and figured it out. You have to have a very specific set of items in the hero's inventory in a very specific order and can't equip any armor (since that would mess up the order). One of these items is a crappy weapon only found at the beginning of the game and not obtainable later. Another is found about halfway through the game. So nobody would have ever found this crazy thing by accident, but it's amazing. You don't even need the hero in your active party, and you can recruit difficult monsters REALLY easily with it (I'm talking metal slimes), since your attacks WILL connect, they WILL kill the monsters, and there's no randomness to recruiting them afterwards.
what about the easter egg of arkam city?? in arkam asylum, there was blueprints of arkam city which were found shortly after the anouncement of the sequel.
In Resident Evil 2 for Playstation the player can shoot at the camera, and make bullet holes appear for a few seconds. Kinda like Doom. It is a known thing today but it was one of those things that you accidentally discovered with your friends by chance. I think only Leon can do it, in his 2nd scenario playthrough. It has to be the shotgun, if you stood on the balcony right side of the main hall in the police station, aim the gun at the camera. It has to be a precise location to get it to work.
Jeez RUclips is so bias, why in the hell is this recommended to me. What about all the new channels .Looper clearly pony up ad money. RUclips is becoming more and more flawed by the day.
+SleepyDroid that would be humpty dumpty beleive it or not another batman villain who takes toys apart and makes them his minions his real name is humphry dumpler i think
TEKKEN 2: In Heihachi's dojo, there's an area near the left side of the stage where you can see the inscription "Heihachi + Kazumi" under an umbrella shape, the Japanese equivalent to carving initials inside a heart on a tree trunk. Though this Easter egg has always been there, Kazumi Hachido would not be alluded to in any other official TEKKEN game until TEKKEN 7, almost 20 years later.
One thing I THOUGHT(which was not in the real game) is that I saw a videos in the last mission of Halo:Combat Evolved. When you get to the bridge and Echo 419 is about to get shot down, if you drive the Warthog into the Pelican, you can save the passengers and you will be fighting one the floor of the ring. For a second I thought that I had not found this for 9 years however, in the description of the video it was actually a mod.

+austinfauth3062 That easter egg was only active since the 1.0 release and not during the 3 year ongaoin alpha. So since November 2015. It took about six months to find, not three years.
In one of the logs they said it was implemented very early before 1.0 so idk exactly
ur prob right tho, i may of got something wrong.
The development of that feature was of course started during the alpha, but the button itself was only clickable since the 1.0 update. :)
If I remember correctly, the developers explain it on the March 2016 update video.

it doesnt mean obvious hint the game is giving you.

I assume this might already be known but in MegaMan 3 on NES there is a second controller glitch that gives you invincibility & super jump
1. plug in second controller
2. find a way to hold down the left or right D-pad button
(this gives you super jump)
3. find a pitfall & Jump in
4. After death sound jump out
And now you'll take no damage cause the health meter is empty but you can't use your main blaster ..

Jeez RUclips is so bias, why in the hell is this recommended to me. What about all the new channels .Looper clearly pony up ad money. RUclips is becoming more and more flawed by the day.

TEKKEN 2: In Heihachi's dojo, there's an area near the left side of the stage where you can see the inscription "Heihachi + Kazumi" under an umbrella shape, the Japanese equivalent to carving initials inside a heart on a tree trunk. Though this Easter egg has always been there, Kazumi Hachido would not be alluded to in any other official TEKKEN game until TEKKEN 7, almost 20 years later.
for the love of god get new background music...

The Wave Race: Blue Storm sarcastic announcer "cheat" was known before 2009. I remember it was in a Nintendo magazine, or some Nintendo mags at least.
Watchmojo are you trying to make another channel? 😑☝🏻️
