tHE BANd I was in during the 80's played this one with me doing Lennons part. Never failed to pack the dance floor.
Probably one of the best Lennon, McCartney harmonies ever.

They broke open the floodgates for the British Invasion!! No two albums sound the same. They influenced me ( I'm now 55) and countless others from the 60's- 90's and beyond. Not my favorite band but in the top 10. Big respect for the beatles

Having listened to these melodies since their releases in the mid-60s, their energy, their charisma, the genius of how they connect to the heart remains fresh. Uncanny. Glad you're becoming acquainted to these forever musicians. Ah, those harmonies!!
Go back to the Beatles first release, work your way through all their music. Listen to the Beatles change music, song after song. Not one song the same. Music grew up with the Beatles. Poetry pure poetry. Wished I was in my teens again listening to their first song and knew that the Beatles were creating history, that will never be forgotten

Paul and John transition from harmony to unison in this song several times...great

And i love her inspired me to play the guitar, as a lot of Beatles music did for a lot of folks around the world, their influence on music will last forever.

Speaking from a musician's point of view, the opening chord progression over the intro of 'If I Fell' is insane! They are completely unrelated to each other, and yet they somehow work! This is, in microcosm, the stuff that really sets great artists apart from the herd: they venture into unexplored places, out of the comfort zone, and take us with them, and make it look easy! And the harmonies on this tune are so strong, so simple... absolute genius!

Try listening to The Beatles Live on Ed Sullivan in Miami. The song is This Boy. I guess i think that is some the best live harmonies ever done bar none.

thanks for both of these! "if I fell" has such pretty harmonies, but at the same time... some of the lyrics seem to be about someone who is not over his past love... "and she will cry.. when she learns we are two.. IF I fell in love with you..." -- I like that it's a bit more "complicated" than "I wanna hold your hand" (love that, too, though) -- Beatles had a lot going on.. I appreciate your reactions!

And I love her--Paul. If I fell--John. Btw, Paul's voice breaks during his backing vocal in If I fell if you listen to stereo versus monaural version. Or was it a cut-off? (At around 5:07)
Paul is the lead singer on the first song. John Lennon wrote the 2nd song and is the main singer.
It's easy tp determine who wrote what, even if a part of a song, by who sings it.
A good Paul song and a good John song. Nice mix.
Some one should tell her the songs had to be short to be played on radio.

Most reaction videos have some discussion of the song and/or the group afterwards. You didn't even say whether you liked the music. You referred to it as a "review." I don't see how it was review.
