Wow goes to show how little of a music scene we have in Victoria B.C. and the Island in general. I'm a Spiritbox fan and always thought they were from Vancouver. I've been to so many Metal shows in my life by huge bands multiple times and have never seen what I know now as my hometown band. I demand a local concert :-)
in Quebec province it's 65% of content on the radio have to be french. It's really like if Quebec are just another country than Canada, We are 2 country in one.
The host was saying the grants are there to get them up and running to get to an American label and not to hold them is wrong I believe. The plan is to keep Canadian content "Canadian" and to avoid Americanization of it, to attempt to continuously grow and create a Canadian identity, their hope is by supporting them they will stay connected to Canada and grow through their resources and labels, atleast that's what I remember being taught in school
I've seen some good concerts in Victoria the past 15 or so years. Aerosmith + Living Colour. Def Leppard. Ozzy + Rob Halford. Judas Priest + Testament. Motley Crew + Big Wreck. Nickelback + Default. ZZ Top. Heart Rocking Heaven tour with Jason Bonham on drums for a Zep set. All those were arena shows. Club shows were KMFDM, Buckethead, Tea Party, Anvil ... sure I am forgetting some.
Sadly had she landed one province over in Alberta she would have found herself a frozen version of Alabama. Believe me, my family has been here for over 100 years...
I've lived in Calgary pretty well my whole adult life, and I grew up in Lethbridge. My family is very mildly conservative, I'm firmly on the left, both socially and economically. I have a *very* love-hate relationship with my home province.
Oh well next year ol’ Pierre will push to have Alberta succeed Canada…f the world really It’s all a joke after trump won 46% of women! Our species is doomed!
It sounds like Courtney really feels like she found a home in Victoria, BC, Canada, and it *really* warms my canuck heart.
have read your comments sometimes,, good to see some Fellow JinjerBox fans as me hehe
@cooltechnician Cheers!

Lovely to see them shouting out our hometown. I wish we showed them the love they deserve…. But maybe if they played Rifflandia??!

Alberta is just North Texas.
(no seriously, it's where a lot of the cattle drives went after going through Wyoming and Montana)

Hello from Langford ;)
Victoria and Vancouver Island is a beatiful place, i wish i was living there.
That is a very unflattering thumbnail for an otherwise incredibly beautiful woman such as Courtney... come on now.
Seriously ? She looks like herself nothing less nothing more.
Loved taking the seaplane to Vancouver island.
