HOWEVER I have watched a lot of television, and I can definitely confirm that main cast members tend to stay whe side characters change...just look at Full House, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Smallville, or sevral other shows I could name.

if they were truly fans of the show theyd understand that he’s not in the next season because the main characters met him HUNDREDS of miles away from where the show normally takes place, now that they’re back in their home town there’s no reason they would ever see him again. They’re not going to have this random character up and move to Hawkins just because he helped out some random kids from that town. It just wouldn’t make any sense.

So if someone doesn't sign on for another season, than there are reasons. They could be from anything from mistreatment to not agreeing on pay or scheduling issues. There are many reasons why someone won't sign to a new season and discrimination is probably very low on that list of things.

The character lives in California as a high school student. His purpose was to drive the kids back to Indiana and provide some comic relief that wasnt overly funny. Since the story is picking up in Indiana and he doesn’t live there he went back to California. His arc is over. That’s all.

The same thing happened when Kobra Kai fired a POC actress from the show after, season 3, I think. She was fired because she was a nightmare to work with, had nothing to do with her skin color.

His name is argyle ( like the sweaters) and he is such a superb character that I love so much however if the plot line leaves California, I can see why they would drop him.
even then his character is in no way shape or form pivotal to the main story line. The show literally starts with the disappearance of Will Byers who is acted as the said actir in this video. There’s absolutely no way they’re gonna cut out one of the most important characters from the series for something the actor said in a passing comment.

One of the things I like about that show is that they don't appear to be favoring any particular group. They make good characters and make them do fun things.

The Duffers literally had been showcasing who was going to be in S5 at the end of S4, they showed all the main groups and Argyle was not even in there. People were leaving Hawkins why would he stay there? Story wise it doesn't make sense to keep him. Plus he has a pizza van to return to California before he gets arrested for stolen company property lol

I watched the first one or two seasons, but then I distinctly recall that it became saturated with a level of intimacy that made my skin crawl. It felt like every time I tried to watch an episode, I was watching kids do gross things and so I quit. I don't understand why film companies can't just produce films or shows that don't involve a bunch of young people doing gross shit. Believe it or not, we don't ALL want to see that. Not everyone wants to vicariously experience a little bit of pleasure by watching very young people get intimate. It's sick. It's literally a spiritual sickness to find that you need to see that.
S1 had been the absolute worst when it came to this.

I’m pretty sure Stranger Things really popularized the “oH 80s sO QuiRKy, sO cOoL” and have people WANT to live in the 80s. But then, once they actually do live in the 80s (if possible), it’s gonna be a hella different.

Very few people liked that character and there was a lot of people making fun of him online and making fun of his looks, it was really sad. I wouldn't be surprised if he chose not to return due to that reason. Besides that he was a new character and not essential to the plot so it makes sense that they would want to focus on the main characters more with this being the last season

guys- the last season is going to be the biggest season yet. it’s not about the actor’s ethnicity or race, it’s that he’s a side character. he served a comedic purpose, but now the show needs to be wrapped up.

Here’s an idea…maybe he wasn’t able to appear because he had another gig, or because the writers thought his part in the story is over, unless I read wrong, it didn’t say Netflix “got rid of him” just that he wasn’t going to be in season 5
from what i read it was said he was not called to appear for season 5 which means netflix decided not to include him for that season, now we dont know all the details of why that might be but at the end of the day a studio has every right to decide who appears and when they appear in their shows and it isnt always about discrimination it could be many other viable reasons

With Latino male representation being extremely low especially that of Mexican ancestry... Usually when we're represented we're shown as gang members... Because the truth is Latinos in the US have multiple types of personalities and backgrounds, a lot of us don't even speak Spanish, most of us are just normal Americans who don't even think about our ethnicity.

It's also stupid how it's basically a rule now that every show or movie is required to have 'diversity' hires and at least one of them has to be a lead role. Like if you'd make an all black movie, it would be applauded an loved, I'm sure.
