Ann and Nancy Wilson are indeed sisters (Ann is the oldest) 🔥 Freakin' love Heart ❤ So many recommendations I can throw out there for them, but in all honesty, I hope you check out their tribute to Led Zeppelin with Stairway To Heaven. This is the recorded audio and the live video. The live audio version is out there, and it's different (naturally). I've heard the single eleventy-billion times and also watched reactions to the video with the live audio. If you watch Ann's mouth very closely, you can see that it doesn't exactly match the audio. They are AMAZING in the live version, as well! It's so fun to hear how Ann does the phrasing and fillers live, and it doesn't have the echo and stuff added to her in some places.
The way I clicked on this video SO FAST! One of my favorite reactors checking out one of my favorite rock groups?! Hell yeah! Heart is freakin' amazing and yes, Ann and Nancy Wilson are sisters. They still play and sing together now. Ann has, arguably, the greatest female rock voice to ever exist. Her vocal range is INSANE. I loved seeing you enjoy this. You should also watch "Magic Man". Same era, same vibe.

My sister and I call them the "Banger Sisters"! We've seen them twice in concert in the past 5 years and they didn't disappoint. We literally cried they were so good.

The edge in Ann's voice came from the personal experiences that inspired the song. Their first label ran an ad implying that the sisters were close in perverted way. Then, after a show, some radio guy came up to Ann and asked how her "lover" was doing, which quite rightly ticked her off when she realized he was talking about Nancy. While Heart is from Seattle, they are also heavily tied to Vancouver. For various reasons, industry resistance to a female fronted rock band, the draft, they relocated to from Seattle to Vancouver, a more accepting climate, and recorded out of Mushroom studios.
Heart is so talented! For a COMPLETE change up, you should react to Dog and Butterfly! My favorite of theirs. Then These Dreams is amazing too. 9 ys ago Ann and Nancy did a tribute to Led Zeppelin that was OOTW!
IMO, a top 10 all-time female vocalist. At 62, the sisters were part of the Kennedy Center Honors for Led Zeppelin. She was still kicking out killer vocals, blowing the roof off.
I’ve had the pleasure of seeing them in concert 7 times through the years and each and every show was as good as the first. I’ve seen many rock and metal groups including most of the big names and I can’t say the same about any other band.
This is the first time I've seen your channel. Only because your watching HEART. In my opinion, except for Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin, Ann Wilson is the best singer of all time ! And that is a close call.
I don't know what songs you know by Heart, but you have to check all 498 of their best ones😂. I will tell you the best to start with. "Cook with Fire" (not about cooking dinner), "Sing Child," ( not about children singing), "White Lightning and Wine" ( this one is about what it sounds like), "Love Alive". I'll tell you the other 493 later. Most of these are best on the original recordings. Some originals are Live recordings. Have fun. I grew up in the same city as Ann and Nancy Wilson and in 1978 when I was 19, I partied with the drummer. It was Epic🤯
The greatest thrill! For a female lead vocal to be a key introduction to rock and roll for me, Ann Wilson. Heart is a standard in the rock and roll genre!
Too bad you obviously never had the chance to see them live. They put on a helluva show ! Living in Vancouver Canada, 3 hours north of Seattle, I was very lucky to have caught their shows many times over the years, even when they were just starting to get recognized. Ann Wilson was cutting edge for female vocalists at the time, and I'm quite sure a lot of female rock vocalists were inspired by her power and her range ! Ya wanna check out another great example of her vocal chops, check 'Alone'. I'll be a Heart fan till the day they stuff me in a box !!

Howard Leese is the 2nd guitarist, and keyboard player. He's playing synths that, if you listen closely, you'll hear some spacy tones in the back. That's what he's adding on the keys there. Now that you've seen them when they were young, you need to see their performance of Stairway to Heaven for the Kennedy Center Honors tribute to Led Zeppelin from 2012. John Bonham's son played his father's drum kit for the performance as well. They closed down the house and NAILED the performance. You HAVE to watch the full version not the tv edit though.
Yes, Ann (lead singer) and Nancy (guitarist) Wilson are sisters. Both were hotties back in the day. Don't see much of Nancy's guitar skills on this song, but check out "Crazy on You". Her guitar work will blow your mind!!
So this was a song basically calling a reporter a "Barracuda" because of the awful rumours he spread about the sisters, if memory serves, he made up they were ...more...than that.
The Wilson sisters are Seattle girls like me ! Saw them live three times @ The Seattle Center Coliseum. Fabulous shows every time ! Ann wrote this song in protest to Studio executives spreading the disgusting rumor that the sisters were lovers. She was pissed ! As if to say, no F with me & my baby sister ! 🖕
The audio is the studio track dubbed over a live performance video. If you can manage to find the live performance, it sounds different, but just as great.
I don't know if you know what this song is all about the sleazy record business The Producers would never put their album out on this planet naturally slept with them show Anna Nancy decided to put it out themselves and see how it turned out, looks like it turned out pretty damn good after all this song came out in 77 and we're all still talking about it and jamming to it all these yrs later, just to let u know the country singer Gretchen Wilson performs this song at her concerts all the time

John Bonham's son played his father's drum kit for the performance as well. They closed down the house and NAILED the performance. You HAVE to watch the full version not the tv edit though.
Pure 70s rock and roll. That was how it was done back then. Check them out doing Led Zeppelin.
Yes, Ann (lead singer) and Nancy (guitarist) Wilson are sisters. Both were hotties back in the day. Don't see much of Nancy's guitar skills on this song, but check out "Crazy on You". Her guitar work will blow your mind!!
SISTERS !! YES !
Check out Ann and Nancy doing Kennedy Center honors tribute to Led Zeppelin and their song Stairway to Heaven
Nobody harmonizes quite so well as siblings.
So this was a song basically calling a reporter a "Barracuda" because of the awful rumours he spread about the sisters, if memory serves, he made up they were ...more...than that.
the drums are underrated
It's a clip from a concert. This is before videos and yes they are sisters.
You should check out Hearts cover of Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy Center, if you haven't already.
if you have not checked out the new group Liliac, you should check out there lead singer, she is awesome and so is the band.
I think the live audio to this is on a RUclips video titled "HEART Barracuda - Live, 1977", on a channel called Tripwire
@@JordyJayHomer Yup - that's the one
I don't know if you know what this song is all about the sleazy record business The Producers would never put their album out on this planet naturally slept with them show Anna Nancy decided to put it out themselves and see how it turned out, looks like it turned out pretty damn good after all this song came out in 77 and we're all still talking about it and jamming to it all these yrs later, just to let u know the country singer Gretchen Wilson performs this song at her concerts all the time
the best songs in hostroy are from the 70's. People till liten to them every single day over 50 years later. Nobody will be listeng to 99% of songs written today in 50 years.
The drums are inspired by Achilles Last Stand!
Interesting, the video presented here is slightly different from the normal video of this song. Different angles different takes apparently. Very interesting.
You should find one of the videos that includes the guitar solo at the beginning. It is amazing!
This is a reply to their ex management who decided it was a good idea to imply that the sisters were in a sexualising relationship ffs
Dude fix your mix. Turn your mic down or turn the music up. Thanks!
👍🎤🤗😄♥️👏👏👏 !!! 👍🦉🐢✌️🌹🌹🌹
Ann had the best the voice in the business, and yes, there sisters also, hear name is Nancy, she can play a mean guitar also
The 70's was musical fire!
Their is another version of this same vid with the actual sound from this show. This one is dubbed with the studio cut.
This was my era growing up. Such great music. (Clothes and hair, not so much.😅) Love Heart, and I echo the others - listen to their Led Zeppelin Stairway to Heaven tribute - just stunning!
Dude my generation had so many talented artists, we were tripping over them. But they were TRUE artists. They composed, played, and sang. I couldn’t be born at a better time! Peace! ✌🏼
