*WITNESS TESTIMONY* I came back to my café that night sometime between 9 and 10PM. I unlocked the door, put away my new stock and went upstairs. Ren was already asleep and in bed, Morgana even curled up next to him. Unless you can find a way to explain Amamiya being in two places at once, my ward is innocent.
*Fun Fact:* Ace Attorney 1 amd Persona 5 are both set in 2016 (and, if we're looking at Gyakuten Saiban, in Japan). Meaning Phoenix (or Mia or Grossberg) could've defended Joker in court.
Sojiro would give such an airtight testimony because of his government background, it's not even funny... Edgeworth would have the worst time dealing with him.
The jazziness and repetition of this pieces makes it jump out at you more than the average character theme in ace attorney but I kinda like that. With how calm it is it'd make it feel especially tense when basically other song kicks in because its absence would be more noticed than most other character themes
Y'know, I'm not entirely surprised Beneath the Mask was a challenge to translate to a Phoenix Wright style. You did a great job, but I still don't think it works as an Ace Attorney character theme. Still, I think the only thing that'd be needed is making it simpler. As it goes, I quite like this as a standalone version.
Thanks! I think the issue is that the more identifiable instruments from the game couldn't be used as much as I would have liked, which unfortunately would have left it not as "relaxing" sounding. But, it was an experiment and I'm glad you enjoyed it regardless!

Still, as I said, I think this version could be finagled if you made it a shorter, simpler loop. Character themes in AA do tend to have varying styles depending on personality. Not really worth doing without actually planning to put it in a game, though.
