    In an age of RUclipsrs that seem to be in a competition to see who can be the loudest, I found this a nice change of pace. Just shots of all the fun toys of the day. It also made me realize how much I miss Baron Karza and Andromeda.

    One of the toys was so obscure that I never thought about it for decades. And there it was! Thanks for awakening a very old memory. Sincerely.

    I'll say it once and I'll say it again I tell everybody that the 70s produced the best toys ever. Of course I'm extremely fond of the Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman I've been collecting both prospective toy lines for over 30 years. Needless to say I have a lot of great toys from the 70's and very early 80's enjoy them very much.

    Remember when toys demanded that you use your imagination, also I used to have the space 1999 spacecraft and I loved building the Aurora glow in the dark movie monster kits, and Aurora prehistoric scenes

    Every year waiting for the toys catalog to come was the best thing, born in 68, make 2 list one for mom and dad, then the big one to my grandparents, I miss Christmas as a kid. Toys were toys. Atari 2600 I thought was the greatest thing.

      Hank Messaros, I was born in 68 also. I loved all the toys from back then! I still have my 6 million dollar man doll. I miss Christmas back then allot!

    The 70's were a great time to be a kid. I vividly remember playing with the Shogun Warriors, Evel Knievel motorcycle and energized Spider Man. I may have had Mr. Mouth too, but I'm not 100% sure. Honorable mention should also go to the Big Wheel, Fisher Price toys, Tonka trucks, Matchbox, Hot Wheels, Big Trak, checkers, Candy Land, Loc Blocs (a small kids version of Legos), slot car sets, Lionel train sets, etc. Some of those may have had their origins in earlier decades, but they translated well into the 70's and beyond.

      The Sears catalog!!! The highlight of the Christmas season when it showed all those colorful and amazing toys you so desperately begged Santa for but your parents could rarely afford! I have two catalogs one from Wards and the other a Sears Christmas toy catalog. My kids go nuts every year when I put them out during the season!

    • @deathstrike
      @deathstrike 6 лет назад +1

      The Sears (Christmas Wishbook) is from 1983 and the Wards (Winter catalog) is from 1979. I got them because they denote the ColecoVision, Intellivision, Atari 2600, Atari 5200 and Texas Instruments computer. I'm hoping someone will start posting catalogs online and hope to scan mine so there is a reference online for them.

    0:54, something I once owned and can't ever remember where it went. Toys (like socks and glasswear) had a way of disappearing. It was a cool figure although the plastic dome simply laid in place and would often fall off during play.

      Very true, and many times it was a vital piece that grew legs and walked away, if not the whole toy itself.

    It's funny how you knew as a kid what to expect with each brand. Remco was aways cool in the box, but disappointing when you played with it. Aurora wasn't too hot unless it was their cars. I had forgotten all about having that little rubber Smokey Bear until now. Seeing it made my eyes water up.

I remember a updated Dracula movie from then an Kolchak: The Night Stalker on TV (as young as I was) but surely there must be more of a reason that I missed.

      Oldest Kid In The World I can say this after watching a few more of you videos I had a large majority of these toys and they were well taken care of I left most of my collection in the states (apartments here are small) I was wondering have you ever heard of these toys called Ding-aLings (no joke) I received them Christmas 1969, 6 small robots and a large one they could go inside I just picked them up at a yard sale for (my dog chewed up my originals from 69). I must also thank my parents I wanted for nothing but far from spoiled I would get the strap from time to time but the collection of toys I was give is incredible but they also hold great memories of great times. I can remember my mother and father looking all over for the six millon dollar man figure took us six months but I finally got it for Christmas 1975 (as well as maskatron, Bigfoot, and Oscar) , or getting the mego Batman with the removable cowl on a rainy Friday in green acres mall NY 1974. It’s the value of the memories is why I still have my toys. I’ll be waiting and watching for more videos. Thanks
