You're welcome. Thank you for watching and I appreciate the super thanks!
We used to wait for the sears Christmas catalog every year to see the latest greatest toys.
that $1.40 is going to go a long way!
@@RhettyforHistory cool video , remember Johnny Soco and flying robot?
@@carlpaladino427 my sister and I used to Circle what we wanted in the Sears Christmas catalog
I am sure beyond a doubt that there was no better time to grow up than the 70's!
That is the truth I love growing up in the 70s
Loved the 60's better. Didn't like the style of clothes in the 70s
I grew up in the 80s and early 90s. I'll take the 80s over any decade! What a fun time! I miss it dearly!
Yea, besides all of the serial killers.
80's kid here and I'd like to have a word😂
I grew up in the 60s and 70s. What a glorious time to be a child. I feel sorry for children these days. They have no idea what it means to be a carefree child.
I totally agree with you Deborah Asher. I Too grew up in the 60'sand70's. And we didn't have a Care in the world 👍🏽😃
Our biggest care was where our friends were and being home by dark!!!😎🙏🇺🇸
yes it was great the street lights were your supervisor the lights come on u best be home lol
@@edwardstroko4665 I wish life was as easy as it was back then! We were very lucky.
Same, I was born in 61, best times ever!
I was born in 1970 and I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY MISS THOSE DAYS.
I realize & UNDERSTAND things change but I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY DON'T LIKE THIS CHANGE AT ALL! I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY MISS THOSE DAYS.
Thank You and God Bless
I was born in 71 and feel the exact same way 😢
Cartoons and toys were good in the 60s and 70s. What a great time to be a kid.
How can these videos make me feel so old and yet. So happy?
LOL, same here I was born in 1961, now I'm 62...wait I'm 62! wink ,LOL.
Thank you for watching M Clark!
Born in 1974. So grateful to grow up in the world that I did.
I'm a 1975 model myself!
Born in ‘73. It was miserable.
I’m a 76er. It was an amazing time but when you stop and think about all the dangerous things we did (like laying in the back window of the car while your mom was driving and what not) it’s surprising that we’re still alive. 😊
Hello, fellow early 70's kids. How's your great space coaster?
1963.... and I agree with you 100 percent
I grew up in the 70s it was a magic time I’ll never forget it. A different world for sure from what it is today.
I wish I could have grown up in the 1970s...but I unfortunately grew up in the 90s..yeah the 90s was a crappy time to grew up.
One toy that you didn’t mention was View Master. I had the hand held viewer and the projector with quite a selection of reels. I’m 63 years old and still have them both. Although the bulb is burnt in the projector and haven’t had any luck finding a replacement. I used to spend many hours watching them when I was a youngster.
I had the manual one that you pushed a slide to rotate the disk. I had many disks and many were 3d...I was entertained for hours with these things. Imagination was much stronger in our generation. We were the last of the feral children 😂.
Johnny Lightning, Hot Wheels, Tonka Toys, Easy Bake, Pe-Kee-No boards, Stretch Armstrong, Stratego ....list goes on and on! 👍
Don't forget the Tyco slot car tracks, Rock em' Sock em' robots, Shogun Warriors( I had Mazinga Z), and the SST Smash Up Derby set.
Oh yeah. Had plenty of those. Watched Bugs Bunny slides in 3d. And like the other response comments say: Tonka was great. Those toy vehicles were stout. Hot Wheels too. I think one of us boys had an Easy Bake at one time, but of course, it wouldn't really even make toast. The electric trains were great too. Think that was monopolized by one or two makers, but can't remember their names. The race tracks were ok, but seems I remember the cars going to fast and falling off the track before even making a lap or them not moving worth a poop at all. And that reminds me of electric football. Good concept - maybe - but awful execution. Looked like a mutiny when your linemen turned on your quarterback. Slot-hockey was better. More like foos-ball, where you could actually control the action.
Oh my gosh. No one mentioned Etch-a-Sketch.
I had the Starsky and Hutch RC car.
I was born in '66. I had most of these toys! Thanks for the memories!!
Me too!! We are the totally tubular, gnarly #BreakfastClub.
#Spicoli just remembered he's not in Saturday detention.
He's in his own room, having been ordered by the spaceman from the old tv show, to pass history class,
or fail to graduate high school. Who was that guy?
I should go ask #MrHand. He knows history. 😁💞
You're welcome and thank you for watching Lauran!
Born in 66 as well. 70's & 80's were the best.
Me too! I feel like my entire childhood was in the 70s. I guess because I don't really remember the 60s and I was a teen in the 80s.
Same me and my sister had most of these too, my favorite toy was the Evel Knievel motorcycle.
The seventies and eighties were the best decades!!! The good old days. Thank you my friend 😊
I loved my Weeble Wobbles!!! And my spirograph!!! We didn't need all the technology and people weren't butt hurt about everything. We still said the Pledge of Allegiance and we sat down as families for dinner. We turned out just fine riding our bikes without helmets. We lived in a great decade. Oh! I also loved playing Pay Day!! 😊
Thank you for watching and sharing your memories with us Leesa! There were a lot of great times during this decade for kids.
Absolutely agree.
I was born in the late 80's, and I was a transformers fan. I would get out my transformers and race with them in vehicle modes, and make up my own battles in robot forms.
Weebles wobble, but they don't fall down.
Absolutely 💪🏽
What great times. What a privilege to have gotten to enjoy the 70s
Yes I totally agree with you it really was a great time to be a kid. I really believe that we were blessed to have experienced those days.
I was born in 1965. Growing up in the 70's was the best. Best cars, best music, best hair and fashion, best TV shows and the best toys. ❤❤
I was born in ‘76 and had a lot of these toys in the early 80’s. I miss those toys! They were so well made they lasted for years.
Me too. I still miss my Big Wheel, I rode it until it literally fell completely apart; such sweet memories.
Thank you for watching Amber!
I was born in '77 and the same situation here!
I built alot of houses as a kid playing with Legos in the early 70. I also had a glow-in-the-dark yoyo and two barrels of monkeys. My favorite game was Battleship, and I was so excited when I bought my first WiFi Stereo at KMART for 99 dollars which played all my vinyl records. Then when I turned 15, I went to a hair stylist and got a feathered haircut.
I played with some of those toys with my little brother's and my nephees and neice.
The toys in the 70s were so much fun to play with
They sure were!
I'm so grateful I grew up in the 70s. Awesome time to be a kid. Thanks for the memories....
Born in 73. I remember getting the Light Bright for Xmas and spending all day in the dark closet playing with it.
They were hours and hours of fun! Thank you for watching Jay!
I remember getting a Lite Brite for Christmas, and loved every minute of it ! Super Spirograph was both fun and aggravating when you accidentally slipped off the gears ⚙️ when you nearly finished.
Yep! Lol
Same here.
And somehow I bet you're STILL stepping on loose Lite Bright pegs while barefoot.
That definitely was a little aggravating. Thank you for watching and sharing your memories Paul!
My wife is younger than me and made me feel really old when I pointed out a spyrograph at a garage sale and she didn't know what it was.
Born in 1959 and am so thankful for it! The 60s and 70s were amazing ❤
A fellow '59er here, it was a great time to be a kid ❤🇨🇦
1958 here. Had 5 older brothers and saw every toy of the period.
The 80s and 90s we're garbage...
I was born in 1956 with 4 brothers and played with a lot of those games.
@@silvrx-pz3ce actually, 80s,90s good decades but super 70s best Ever!!
Born in 66. I had quite a few of these toys. Brought back memories. Fun to be a kid back then...
I had a lot of those toys as a 70's kid. The Evel Knievel stunt cycle was by far my favorite. Big wheels were another 70's classic.
Yes! Loved my Big Wheel!
Thank you for watching and sharing your memories JMS!
I agree 100% The Evel Knievel stunt cycle was really something FUN!
My brother would play with this for hours on the kitchen floor.
@@MarkNOTW Ditto!
I also loved the big bouncy ball you sat on and bounced that had a handle. It was maroon colored, and it bounced you good when you pushed up with your legs to make it bounce. Simple toy but fun when you're a little child.
Thanks for posting and making Saturday mornings great again. It's like anticipating Saturday morning cartoons as a kid all over again. 💯👍🤗🌞
Thank you for watching Planet of Robots! I'm happy to know you are enjoying the content!
First I had to clean my room n make my bed...geesh
Saturday morning was the one moment of the week when the kids had unchallenged dibs on control of the TV. The parents were sleeping off their hangovers anyways. After the crack-like cartoon binging of Saturday, kids had to go to cartoon rehab on Sunday morning and watch Davey and Goliath.
@@Ryan-ju4pn omg I totally agree with your! :)
I grew up in the 70s. I was born in ‘66
I remember so many of these toys.
I remember the evil Knieval bike jump set. I got it for Christmas and it wasn’t even on my list. My mom thought I’d like it and she was right. Micronauts we’re cool too.
Towards the later half of the 70s it was all about the handheld electronic games.
Anyone else remember pouring over the Sears Christmas catalog (I had the Canadian version) and dreaming big?
I remember paying around $10 for the Evel Kneivel windup
1966 back at ya bro. Dont forget Big Jim and his camper!!. 🔥 Went through that Sears Catalog constantly in the Fall. haha
I'm 54. I had the Evil Knieval too, but I'm so glad to see someone else mention Micronauts. I had a hell of a time with those. ✌🏼
Me too, I jumped that bike every where, I even had evil jump off of my horse, and after the failed snake canyon jump, I had him jump off of my roof, with parachute that also failed, next to my hot wheels and my trains, and still have, Evel Knievel bike, was my favorite toy,
I had a easy bake oven being a kid back then was a lot easier
I loved being a kid in the 70s!!!!! Great times and Great music!!!👍
Surely, the best of times. Thanks mom and dad.
Thank you for watching Splink Productions!
Born in 1969, this was for sure the perfect time for these toys! I had almost all of them in this video. The 70's for toys and the 80's and my teen years, it was all about the music! ❤
1969 here too.
1970 here but it really was a great time to be a kid. I wish we had a time machine

Born in '71 and remember those toys. Man! What a great time to be a kid. Kids now have no clue what it was like to be carefree in the world before cesspool social media.
Ha!!! I can remember amusing myself for hours playing with a lot of those. Sometimes things change way to fast.
Hi Paul 😁

I was born in 1965 and remember all of those toys, and had many of them at one time. How I wish I was living those days over again!!!
I did experience this era and these toys. The ones I didn't have, my friends did. The 70s was probably the best decade for children.
Seventies were a great time to be a kid
Thank you for watching PhrasedEyebro!
Born in 1969. Remember most of these toys. I was a lucky kid, my family gave me tons of toys.
Thank you for watching John!
I'm so thankful I grew up in the 60s and 70s. It's was a great time.
Loved playing in the sandbox with the Tonka trucks.
Remember Jarts?
You could hit a tree 50 yards away. Deadly fun.
In the 70s we actually played with our Star Wars action figures. We got them dirty and threw them around the yard. We didn't keep them locked up in the original packaging because we thought they might be worth something someday. Toys are meant to be played with!
Thank you for watching and sharing some of your memories as well as what you enjoyed.
Yep my Darth Vader killed many a micronaut in his day. To this day I don't fully understand the story behind the Micronauts, But Vader sure loved killing them.
Absolutely! I lost my stormtrooper figure down a hole, and I thought it was gone forever. About 15 years later I was at my parent's house and dug it up!! And I still have it today, over 25 years later!!!
This brought back so many good memories, that I had as a kid. Thank you for making these nostalgic theme videos. 👍
You're welcome Nicole and I appreciate you watching and commenting as well!
I turn 47 this year and I admit, this put me in tears a couple times. 👍❤
I still have my Evil Kneval motorcycle toy...it was my Christmas gift and I found where my Mom had my older brother hide it...but my nosy brother followed me and knew I had found it before Christmas...I knew Mom couldn't afford much, but she bought the Evil Kneval because I really, really wanted it... I always felt so bad because I spoiled her surprise Christmas morning... I've held onto it ever since and kept it in pretty pristine condition ...
The 70’s were the greatest! Thanks for sharing. 👍🏻
You're welcome and thank you for watching Robert!
I was born in 1961 and enjoy both the 60s and 70s. I was 9 in 1970 and graduated high school in 1979-80. The best times for kids to have grown up in were the 50s, 60s and 70s. Just about everybody was nice to each other and kids played outside with their friends and no cell phones, lol. Bikes were in and every kid rode one. I would go back to those simpler times if I could.
Thank you for watching and sharing your memories with us Carlos. Things seem to have changed a lot!
Don’t forget the 1980s!
I had the best of both worlds, entire childhood in 70's, and all my teenage years in the 80s.
The closest thing we had to cell phones were Walkie-Talkies. You were the coolest kid on the block if you had a pair.
@@lobsterwhisperer7932 Your teenage years are part of your childhood.
Born in 63, we were blessed to have two loving parents who provided us with most of these great toys. Didn't realize how lucky we were til I was older!
Born in 1965. One of the worst combinations of things in the 70’s was the crank up Evel Knievel motorcycle sets and sculptured shag carpeting. If you understand, your frustration was real!
Born in 1960. I loved sooo many of our toys back then. A few that stand out for me are Creepy Crawlers, Hot Wheels, Major Matt Mason, Silly Putty, Estes rockets, and the Revell model kits. What great time to be a kid....
Don't forget the etch-A-sketch!
You mentioned some great ones Janice! Thank you for watching!
I had Major Matt Mason, "Mattel's Man In Space". Pretty cool!
I also had Action Jackson and Big Jim.
Remember incredible edibles. They were like creepy crawler but you could eat them ? And don't forget shrinky dinks. Lol ! Those were the days. 😊
Yes estes rockets and cox gas powered airplanes big then..
I was born in 1961 and remember most of those toys. "Opration", "Hot Wheels", "GAF Viewmaster", "SSP"were some of my favorites. Those were the good ole toys for kids. Too bad that kids today will never experience what toys were back then.

How could you miss Operation ? Classic oldie.
👍It takes a steady haand.
I still have PTSD from Perfection. Such a stressful game but as an only child, there weren't too many other options.
I still jump when I play Perfection. My daughter and I like to play board games and we played Perfection the other day. 😆 We take turns and she's really quick and able to get them all in there before the timer goes off but I'm a lot slower now than I was when I was a kid.😂
I'm convinced that game was grooming us for factory work 😄
I loved it but I know it stressed a lot of kids out! Thank you for watching and sharing your memories!
Do you guys remember the game Superfection? I think it was made after Perfection. It was even more challenging, I think!
@@jenniferhansen3622 I certainly do LOL!!! It was like Perfection, only on crack 😄🤣
I was born in 1969 and oh how I absolutely loved being a boy in the 1970's ! I remember all of those toys, I really enjoyed being outside all the time riding my Big Wheel, then my bike pretending to be Evel Knieval. Or just walking and running all over the place. I guess if I had to pick a favorite toy it would be a toss up between Legos and Lincoln Logs. Thanks 😊 !!! Such happy, great memories ! 👍 I would give anything to relive those times ! We had so much freedom as kids then ! 🇺🇸
Me too! I was born in 68,and I loved the toys of that time!! Rocket sockem robots , stretch Armstrong and the Evel Kneivel motorcycle that you wind up on the side of the deck! Awsome!!
1969 here too. I had at least half these toys. Loved my Evil Knievel motorcycle. I really really wanted the Chopper version. Also loved taken out Green Machine poseurs in the park with my Big Wheel.
Born in 64 and my brother and sis was born in 73 and 74. We had all but maybe 3 of these. Great memories teaching my siblings how to play games!!
I was born in ‘79, so I still had the 70s design toys. I had the Fisher-Price camera, desk, cash register and doctor’s kit. That’s the jack-in-the box I had. My brother born in ‘74 had the Electronic Football and Pass the Puck. My brother born in ‘70 had the Pay Day board game.

Good old days.
I was born in ‘77 so I owned and played with most of these, as I got most of my toys secondhand. As far as the fashion, that’s definitely what my parents, aunts & uncles, and their friends dressed like. Thanks once again Rhetty for another humor infused nostalgia video!

Born in 63', I was the perfect age for 70s toys. Loved my GI Joe's, Big Jim's, Johnny Wests, Evel Knievels,SST daredevils,DC action figures and I spent hours and hours using my imagination creating stories and plots with all the accessories that came with them. The 70s.....
Great toys !
Spent my early childhood in the 70's, and my God, how awesome the toys of that decade were! I had the Fisher Price medical kit from this video. I remember a boatload of FP toys scattered across the basement of my 1970's house, including the wooden Jalopy with lop-sided wheels and a bobblehead clown riding on top, and the one you pushed like a lawnmower with little colored balls popping around inside a clear plastic dome. Then as I got older, there were other toys like Star Wars, Shogun Warriors, Hot Wheels, the Even Knievel stunt cycle, Energized Spider Man, Lionel trains, slot car sets, Burning Key Cars, Big Trak, the Starbird Avenger spaceship, plastic model dinosaurs, green army men, etc. The toys absolutely defined the 70's for me!
Kid of the 70s here. The Spirograph was my first introduction to psychedelia.
Thank you for watching info warrior!
Born in 1970 and watching this channel you can’t help but realize how lucky we all were to grow up in the era in which we did. Loved the Bionic Women game along with the Bigfoot game,Welcome Back Kotter game and the Yogi Bear game!

Ahhh, Nothing like the 60s,70s, and 80S. THE 80S In particular the Best.
This brought a huge smile to my face. Thank you so very much for helping me remember those wonderful times.
Grew up with most of these toys. The 70s were a great time to be a kid because it was like the wild west. Free to do as you want without all the rules and restrictions of today. Up until recently I could actually find a lot of these toys still in retro stores that have since closed down.
Born in 1968. Played with every single one of these toys with my friends at some point. I remember also “Ghost Gun” and “Screech Owl” (Maybe?)…we loved the “ghostly” and “scary” games. Of course, after 1977, all I did was get Star Wars toys and figures…!

Greetings from coastal Mississippi. Remember a lot of these toys. Always wanted the Walton's playhouse and dolls that went with. Thank you for the research and memories 😂🎉
I loved Weeble Wobbles, Light Bright, and Spirograph. But the one I played with the most was Mouse Trap. When we moved my mom sold it in a yard sale but I had the diving guy and the mouse. I still have them.😊

I'm in that club now too. I still have my Jane West and horse. Loved playing with them! I've always been a horse fanatic!
Thank you for watching Marianne!
That Paddington bear shown at the start is one I'll never forget, because it's literally the first thing I was ever given and who gave it to me. My grandparents were away on a trip to New York city on the day I was born. Yet my grandfather had heard my mom's water broke right as they were getting ready to leave for that day, so he ran into FAO Schwartz and looked around for something, if anything, that seemed appropriate to give to a baby. That's when he saw "him". A Paddington Bear plushie, standing on a shelf in bright red rubber boots with a blue raincoat and yellow hat. This bear, I still have'im, has been my constant buddy for forty long years. I refuse to get rid of him because he's been with me far too long.
Paddington was very cute indeed. I still have a Raggedy Ann doll that my great grandmother hand made for me in the late 60s. I'll always treasure that.
Thank you for watching and sharing some of your memories. That's great you still have him!
Great music, sports, movies and Johnny Carson.
Omg… I have tears in my eyes remembering all of these things

That was always fun too. Thank you for watching Pam!
Seeing Evel Knieval made me think of those 70s and 80s sports stars who were everywhere then, from cereal boxes to TV game shows. Like Joe Namath, Nadia Comenechi, Cathy Rigby, Mark Spitz, Olga Korbut, etc. They were always on tv or in magazines but we never hear of them anymore. I think this might be a good video, if you haven't already done one already.
Those sports stars you mentioned were big. Thank you for watching and suggesting that topping Nicki!

I grew up in the 80s and received a lot of toys from the 70s as hand me downs. Loved them!

I'm an 80's baby, but my folks were older hippies and I enjoyed 90% of what you mentioned here! Great nostalgia my friend. 👍🤘

Thank you for the beautiful trip down memory lane.
My favorite was a Tonka Winnebago! I loved playing cars. I had a Mustang police car and so many others. I also had a GI Joe action figure and his helecopter. Thanks for the memories!!!
