Being a Vstrom rider for the past 7 months and putting over 14k kms on it, I can safely say it is a great tourer! and I totally agree with all the things said in the video. The combustion clutter is real but the engine love to be rev , and yes the clutter disappears. But one dealbreaker you missed out on the bike is the amazing mileage figure you can get from this machine, I've been getting 43kmpl on cruising on 80-110, heck I get 46kmpl while riding on 50-70 . It can go miles as a tourer without putting a hole in your pocket. One of the best pillion seat, low service cost and maintenance. Yes its not a "Adventure" motorcycle, The rear suspension is trash on bad roads unless you carry some speed into it, But the highspeed stability is just too good. @@RikinLokhandwala ill give you a brief on my entire service journey, My first service was entirely free, no parts change or issues. Second service just under 1k ( oil change). For the third service , it was the same, no parts change and no issues so far. 4th service it was 2600rs, because i changed out the oil to Motul 300v( which is expensive btw 1600-700 ish i think) and it was a paid service, only minor issue I had was some noise over unexpected bumbs, which was because my coneset was loose. And yes I changed out the air filter too. I take care of the bike pretty decently, no rust issues so far and believe it or not, the no of times i had to tighten my chain was just 3 over 14k kms. Well rounded thoughts. Being an SX owner here, one thing I would humbly digress is the moniker V-Strom just isn't carried over from the elder siblings for the sake of it. yes in slow moving traffic you can feel the heat coming out towards the legs. suspension also needs improvement....cannot handle sudden big potholes...felt bottoming out several times.
I wonder about the vibrations and engine sound, I own one and done 9k kms till now I used motul since beginning and have very minimal vibrations which doesn’t bother at all and engine is smooth and eargasmic But I heard that suzuki’s oil makes the motorcycle rough so is that a reason by any chance can you mention which oil were you using?

Hi sir could you suggest me to select a bike between these two options classic 350 and Hness 350. I test rode both the bikes and I'm confused between these two.
Hello. Tough choice. Can't go wrong with a Honda! But the Classic is more ridabale across the rev range especially low and mid range. The CB is more about mid and top range. Choose according to your riding style. Relaxed riding = Classic Spirited riding = CB Cheers!
Very nice review👌 I will buy the VStrom 250 SX if Suzuki increase the suspension travel, increase the tank capacity to 15 litres, slightly taller handlebars with a revised peg position for ease of riding when standing up on the pegs, also give switchtable ABS, a bit more low end torque and a stronger light.
No sir, the v Strom I tested didn't have that much of vibration in the top end as you suggested, but yes, the suspension is like our Honda unicorn or like commuter bike, itself.👍🙂
Does the same problem or characteristics of combustion rattling happens with another bike or with gixxer sf 250, because every reviewers call it as a nice refined engine?
Hi. The engine is refined for sure and the same as the Gixxer. The only issue which I'd not a problem but a characteristic, is vibrations above 7000 rpm and combustion clatter under hard acceleration at higher rpm.

From the reviews and one of my old classmate's ownership experience good mileage in city 38-41 at normal speeds(below 70km/h) and when ridden hard 35-ish(which i couldn't in chennai traffic) What's your take on this uncle, cuz i want a good quality motorcycle with low maintenance cost. Please do give your advice or opinions on this 🙏. (Currently using my dad's 2012 splendor while my parents bought an access125 for their use. IMPORTANT NOTE - I've been getting only 38 km/l on the splendor as i stay in 2nd & 3rd gear most of the time to extract power at a twist of the throttle and only using 4th gear when the traffic has a good flow and to improve braking performance i rely more on front brakes combined with rev-matching (usually) or blip-shift depending on the situation.)

Thank you.
Nice points....I ride a KTM 250 ADV. Do not regret it. Being 6F tall. The bike sits well.
Good choice!
Hi sir, how's the 390 adventure x? Mainly the handling with those tyres and suspension?
Hello. The 390ADV is my choice in this segment. Overall a top performer in all areas. Refined, light, fast.
@@bigbearbangalore thanx!
Wow what a review, agree with almost everything you said. Lights could have been better. Vibrations are something that bother me too. Also, I felt the heat when in traffic, I somehow felt that the hot air was being blown to my legs which was weird
Hello. Thanks for sharing your experience.
yes in slow moving traffic you can feel the heat coming out towards the legs.
suspension also needs improvement....cannot handle sudden big potholes...felt bottoming out several times.
Hello, can you put some lightbon ktm 250's suspension?
Many say its too stiff and unsettling
Hello. Yes it is on the firm side but not uncomfortable. We've a couple of videos on the 390ADV which you may watch to know more. Regards.
I wonder about the vibrations and engine sound, I own one and done 9k kms till now
I used motul since beginning and have very minimal vibrations which doesn’t bother at all and engine is smooth and eargasmic
But I heard that suzuki’s oil makes the motorcycle rough so is that a reason by any chance can you mention which oil were you using?
Engine oil can make a difference. And happy to hear that you face no such issues. Thanks for the information.
Which motol are you using , I bought v strom 250 and in first service i added semi synthetic ecstar , i can feel vibrations on 3rd gear
@@akashbohra6798 i’ve been using Motul 7100 since my first service, suzuki itself offered me the choice but vibrations I noticed when it clocked the service time after 4500kms from the previous service but after the service it’s back to no vibrations again. Also my rpm was locked at 8 when I purchased it. later I got to know that I can change it and changed it to 10 so engine doesn’t max out at 8 not sure if this can bring any change but I’ve done it so would like to mention.
I always wonder why and how you guys understandable this😊
👍
Kindly share your opinion on V Strom is loosing that beautiful V nowadays?
That's OK. It is what it is because things have to progress and develop. Although both the V and the P engine will be available at least for a while. Besides the V is about 20 years old.
Lovely video Bosky. Thank you for calling me over.
Thanks for being part of it. Cheers!
Sir
What's your take on knee position during riding
It was all right.
Awesome video great experience and bike review ❤
Your thoughts about the Kawasaki W175.........
None!
😀 India has no association of history with the W series Kawasakis. East Asia does but not here. There is no emotional connect and no VFM connect.
Nice crisp review as always. I took a short test ride and liked the free revving nature of the engine but not too convinced with the suspension. I rode Kora's Xpulse to Goa via Charmadi ghat and the xp performed brilliantly on broken roads. Is there any way to upgrade or swap the suspension on this SX250 to a better one? Thanks again for the honest review. Cheers!
The H450 would be a better buy
@@CowKora thanks, will look forward to your reviews when it's out👍🏻
Yes with a better suspension, the SX can become the benchmark in the segment.
Relaxed riding = Classic
Spirited riding = CB
Cheers!
@@bigbearbangalore thank you sir😅😇
Very nice review👌
I will buy the VStrom 250 SX if Suzuki increase the suspension travel, increase the tank capacity to 15 litres, slightly taller handlebars with a revised peg position for ease of riding when standing up on the pegs, also give switchtable ABS, a bit more low end torque and a stronger light.
Thanks.
That's a long wishlist of changes. 🙂
@@bigbearbangalore can i use 12t sprocket on vstrom sx for better torque?
Yes you can but that will compromise top speed and highway rideability.
@@bigbearbangalore Any idea on where to find 12 size sprockets??
@JAT_4566 sorry, no idea.
No sir, the v Strom I tested didn't have that much of vibration in the top end as you suggested, but yes, the suspension is like our Honda unicorn or like commuter bike, itself.👍🙂
👍
@4:09 Thala for a reason
👍
Does the same problem or characteristics of combustion rattling happens with another bike or with gixxer sf 250, because every reviewers call it as a nice refined engine?
Hi. The engine is refined for sure and the same as the Gixxer. The only issue which I'd not a problem but a characteristic, is vibrations above 7000 rpm and combustion clatter under hard acceleration at higher rpm.
@@bigbearbangalore so is that something to bother, does it affect anyway the longitivity of the engine? Just asking for the knowledge.
It will be a bother if you are a regular high speed rider hitting 100 and above often.
I do not think there will be any negative effect on the engine.
how is after sales service & support . spare part etc ? Can we get the support even in tier-II, III cities/towns, for any breakdown ?
Generally Suzukis are reliable and durable and need little maintenence.
Check with your Suzuki dealer in your town anyway on this.
Please consider making a video comparing the hunter and honda's cb350 rs. 🙏 I'm swaying towards the hunter but i would love to know your opinion. 🫡
Hello. Thanks for the suggestion. Will plan to do so. Regards.
Sir which tyres you suggest for this machine?
Check on Reise
Do you think if i am getting an offer of 2.25L on road in Mumbai, shoudl i go for this or Spend about 1 lakh more to get the Truimph Scram 400X. I am in love with both of these engines and have ruled out all other options around the segment.
If budget permits, worth the buy.
Sir could you please make a video on Bajaj Dominar 400
Hello. Will plan that when next possible. Thanks.
Enjoy watching the review
Glad you did. Thanks.
I would recommend you guys to have different cameras with different camera angles
Thanks. Your point well noted. (We are bunch of amateur vloggers and use mobile phones so the production quality is average. Please bear with us.)
@@bigbearbangalore I just love your content, you guys can go far beyond imagination.
Good luck 👍🏻
It is a good review. It would be better if you could compare it against the Kawasaki Versys-X. That would be something really interesting to watch. Tq
Thanks. Is that model even available yet?
@@bigbearbangalore It is already in the Inidia market for few years now. Initial model is 300 cc, 650 and 1000 cc. But in some countiries it is 250 cc, 650 & 1000 due to the rider license requirements
It’s not listed at the moment. Sales was discounted about 2 years ago.
@@bigbearbangalore Oh...I see. That is very sad news. Then nothing can be done. Versys-X is far more better in my personal view.
I have thunderbird twin spark .
Wanted to upgrade..and thinking about between Vstrom and Himalayan 411 (may be stock still available). Can you please help .
Mainly in city commute and long tours on tarmac mostly .
While riding in city, sometimes alone sometimes family (wife and daughter-3 years )
Don't want to go for new Himalayan with extended budget.
Vstrom 250sx is light and easy to ride. The 411 is a heavier and different machine. Ride them doubled and check which feels netter.
completed 13k on my vstrom.
In slow moving traffic you can feel the heat coming out towards the legs.
Suspension cannot handle sudden big potholes...felt bottoming out several times. Big tyres and seats does help to neutralize minor potholes and bad roads.
handle bar is a bit low...not comfortable while saddling.
that rear taillight really spoils the mood when you see some old gixxer on the road.
navigation could have been better.
OK. And any positives at all?
@@bigbearbangalore yes yes! I love it...
Low cost maintenance
Good mileage
Awesome for highway
Built quality seems good (time will tell)
Good seats and comfortable for normal Indian roads
Good balance and handles beautifully in slow traffic
Looks awesome....head Turner
Fun to Ride...never gets bored.
Ground clearance.
Windshield actually works
Happy to hear. Thanks for sharing.
No mention of the XPulse?
No
@@bigbearbangalore not in the same league?
Now that you have scrambler 400x..pls share your choice for onroad and off road..scrambler 400x or V storm 250?
400X has better suspension to handle off road
Amazing review, congrats!

Interesting review. Wishu good luck from Bangladesh.🇧🇩❤️🇧🇩

Sir, can you compare dominar 250 with Suzuki Vstrom 250.
Or Dominar 250 review.
Will check on this possibility. Thanks.
Beautiful vlog 👏👏👏
🙏
Pls suggest ways to improve performance and ergonomics on vstrom 250 sx
You can look to install the BMC air filter and a FuelX Pro kit. Ergo is a personal choice.
Do u have any idea whether warranty will be affected if we use bmc air filter?
Yes the dealership can potentially void the warranty.
What is combustion clutter???
Combustion noise from the engine itself. Not mechanical and not from the exhaust. It's like a "clack clack" noise.
@@bigbearbangalore ok thank u sir
Hi Bosky It's been a long time
Excellent Review
If you wanted a touring bike for our roads
and given a choice between the Honda CB 350 and the V Storme 250 Which one would you choose
Priority is the riding comfort
Thanks CHEERS
Hello. Long time.
Quite different machines, and between these two, I'll choose the 250sx because of it's posture and overall ergo comfort and looks!!
Thanks

Can you guys please do a modified xpulse 4v vid maybe thank you
Hello. We haven't got hold of one yet and once we do we will post a video. Thanks.
waiting for a review on benelli trk 502 .
Will do when we get hold of one. Cheers!
KTM has no combustion clatter but it has an Exhaust clatter
😃 I would call that clatter "gudu gudu pandi music".
Why haven't u compared it with Xpulse 2004V?
Just like that.
Loved your review. I own a vstrom 250 and complety agree with your points. I feel buzz on clutch side of the bike and also on accelerator as you said, but the strange thing if i revv the bike during cold start there is no vibration post that.
That's interesting to know. Thanks for sharing.
Same thing happens with me , did you find any solution, which oil do you use ?

How to enable the rpm light on the bike?
Don't know
How does it perform compared to BMW GS310 ??
Half the price is one comparison. BMW is faster is the other. BMW has better suspension is another.
Am using it from past 6 months feels under power and mainly suspension is very hard thinking to switch to other bike
Ah ok! Thanks for sharing. Best wishes for your new purchase.
Hi Bro. Have Amaing conversation at all between u both... RE Meteor vs V-Storm which one is best for Longlasting, Mileage and Touring. Kindly provide me your suggestion. I've shortlisted both to Choose One.
Thanks. Your choice as to the posture preference. Cruiser posture or adventure posture.
Fantastic genuine review
🙏
Hello sir, great review and it’s answered allot of my questions about the bike. However, I’m still confused about which bike to choose. My requirement is mainly city commuting and occasionally long highway tours with a minimum vibration and cursing speed of 100-120, just for reference I currently drive RE 350 classic bs6 model . My 1st option is v strom 250 as it is ticking all the boxes but should I stretch my budget and get 390 adventure x. Any suggestions is appreciated and thank you
If budget permits, go foe the 390adv. Although it's overkill for commuting, you'll enjoy on the open roads.
@@bigbearbangalore thank you
What can be done for the suspension setup upgrade??
Someone needs to do some research on this!
@@bigbearbangalore ruclips.net/video/cGpwloPnHzI/видео.htmlsi=RE37QKsQSESmSeTd
what is your suggestion on this mod?
Slipper clutch missing! Why?
Don't know.
I need suggestion on this bike. My height is 5.5- 5.6, I wanna buy this bike but bcz of the seat height of this bike only my toe can reach the ground. Showroom guys say they will adjust suspension and make it 1-2 inches lower. Is it possible? If it is then what are the downsides of it. A smaller size seat is available but I heard it's not good. What is the best we can do for the height issue?
Hello. The seat is the first thing I’d suggest you check. If that doesn’t work may be you look at what they’ve suggest to do to the suspension.
Due to pricing they couldn’t get the twin cylinder inazuma engine into this bike
That Twin have been amazing in an adventure frame.
What would be the speed in kmph when running at 7k rpm at the top gear???
Above 105 kmph it starts.
@@bigbearbangalore great, thanks
Uncle been pitching to get gixxer 250 for commuting to college.
Reasons :
Minimal maintenance cost and long service interval compared to the bikes (RTR NS & DUKE 200, R&MT-15, HUNTER) in this price segment (2-2.5l) as i clock around 2500-2700 kms a month.
From the reviews and one of my old classmate's ownership experience good mileage in city 38-41 at normal speeds(below 70km/h) and when ridden hard 35-ish(which i couldn't in chennai traffic)
What's your take on this uncle, cuz i want a good quality motorcycle with low maintenance cost.
The Gixxer could be a good choice. Take a test ride to know more.
@bigbearbangalore thank you uncle
thanks for the review🥰
Thanks
Please make a review on Honda 300F too

Great review!
What speeds does this bike maintain at around 7000rpm in top gear in your experience?
120s.
Hello. 110 onwards it's gets really vibey on the pegs.
Hi Sir, im 40+ & planning for a new bike in 250cc segment but, confused in a segment of the ADV or Scrambler or Pure Classic Retro. This may be my last Bike purchase previously I used Yamaha Libero & FZS V2.....my budget is 2.50 Lakh on road in Karnataka. Priorities are Comfortable Ride, good fiel ⛽ Efficiency, low maintenance & long term build quality. Im waiting for the Bajaj-Triumph Scrambler but I think it will not fit in my budget, even the Vstrom 250 is also 2.75 Lakh on road..........there are lot of bikes to launch in the coming months like Xpse 400, Himalayan 450 etc...etc.....
What is your use case? What will you use the bike mostly for? City commute, touring or off-road trail riding?
Plethora of choices. Depends on what style and purpose. Touring, commuting, exploring, chilling 😀
Is it possible to put Xpulse suspension on this 250
Please do comment!!
Hi! I do not think it is a direct fit. Or may be it just won't fit. Need to find out.

I have this vstrom, at 7k rpm it is doing 105 with no vi rations anywhere. Even at 115, there is no vibration. Sometimes, when the road is bad, i feel a slight negligible buzz in the foot pegs. But i think that has got bothing to do with the machine. Indian roads😂😂
