The woman singing with him is his wife. She's the reason why Chris is now a singer, he was originally just a song writer but his wife convinced him to sing his own songs instead of writing and selling them to other artists.

Yes, you are about to go down a rabbit hole. Nobody can sing like him (and his wife Morgane). Once you go Stapleton, you never go back lol. The entire set he did at Austin City Limits is amazing. Some info on him, he's from Lexington, KY. He was his high school valedictorian, and lettered in six sports. He and his wife have five children together. She gave birth to number five on mother's day this year, after having twins last year! If you want runs, try "Sometimes I Cry", live at the Bing Lounge. Enjoy your journey.

Down the rabbit hole she goes! You'll find lots of great sound and feel down there. Can't go wrong with anything Chris. Backup and listen to maybe one of the top 10 greatest live performances of any genre, Chris and Morgane Stapleton with Justin Timberlake singing Tennessee Whiskey and Drink You Away at the CMA's a few years back.
1st possibly one of the best live performances ever. 2nd i could listen to him just playing guitar. 3rd his singing is a rollercoaster hi's and lows and smoothness while having a gruff voice. I look so forward to seeing him live, hopefully a smaller venue. They are just better with his quality.

I just looked at the screen on my phone, dragged it back 20secs, screwed my face, widened my eyes and burst out laughing. Then I said to the wife “babe, babe, come here and listen to this”. She listened, asked me to rewind it again, screwed her face, widened her eyes, burst out laughing and said “no way”. We then spent the next hour finding more Chris. I mean c’mon, that is a legendary vocalist right there that blasts holes in the question ‘what kind of music you into?’. If he sings it, Im into it.

I live in his hometown of Paintsville Ky. My wife went to high school
with Chris. Chris graduated the year after my wife. And YES, from
anything I've ever heard from anybody who grew up with him, or knew him
locally (I've never met him) he is the genuine article and a truly great
guy and human being.
My aunt lived there. He went big and got paid. Went back to his school and hooked the band up with all kinds of new free instruments. He's a honest down to earth small town guy. He's as real as it gets
