This is brilliant. I love old books. My dad has some that have been in our family since the late 1800s. It’s somewhat humbling to sit with them and to think about the generations of my family that have come and gone whilst the book has gone on to tell its story to each one. There is a touching history to even the simplest things, and I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who notices it.
Thanks for sharing these with us!

Holy crud 1870??? Look at the writing on those books! Imagine all the hands that have touched that book and looked through those pages. They pre-date motion picture, and for somebody that book was rare to own and they thought it was worth saving. This was their 70 inch 4k flatscreen...haha. It must have been a valuable item and you are holding hands with those people. Wow I feel like this ASMR was made just for me! I absolutely agree with you about Old books and of course they dont violate copyright laws using them in videos too which is a bonus ahaha. Seriously though amazing video and 3 hours? I can't actually watch it cause a certain someone next to me will get irritated over the light of my phone, so I usually lay my phone upside down and just listen to (either intentional or unintentional) asmr videos. This one is definitely my new favourite 👍 Love the combo of whispering and turning book pages 😁 Also love that you're not obsessively tapping on everything you touch for minutes at a time, as a lot asmr'tists seem to do. That always makes me feel like I'm watching someone who has Gilles de la Tourette or something! 🙈
Oh and also love that most of your vids are so entirely long! Sometimes when a good one is like about half an hour and you've just fallen asleep but then the video stops and you wake up again! 🤣🤦‍♀️

I love books, especially old books and I wish I had the money to buy the ones that I've come across. The chance to hold a piece of history in your hands is incredible to me and I love to imagine who may have read it or studied from it and under what circumstances. There is nothing like that amazing smell of an old book too .... i could go on for hours. Thank you for sharing these with us!

This is by far my favorite ASMR video ever. Any time I need to relax this is my go to and every single night without fail it puts me to sleep. On days when I have my 6 month old son it has always also put him to sleep also. Hands down in my books the greatest ASMR video out there (for my “tingles” and personal tastes)

Same here. I always wake up to his videos no matter the channel I fell asleep watching. It's a super relaxing way of waking up. It gets the mind's wheels moving right away too. I think it's due to the length of these videos compared to others.

I'm here for the ASMR, but if it interests you, my dad's business restores old books just like this, and can make them useable and look like they used to before they fell apart or started to crumble. They would still be great for this purpose, but no longer in pieces or at risk of you damaging them further.

(Now before I start let’s just be honest that I will be that one comment that does not get liked by you) But Man your voice is so soft and relaxing it is just the perfect thing that has happened to asmr. All the other people use microphones and it makes it not tingly or relaxing, but you do not use a microphone (well at least it sounds like you don’t) and it makes it amazing for sleep and some parts are inaudible which makes it extremely tingly. I was only 1:00 minute in and I was trying to stop my eyes from closing and I could not resist to just let my head drop (which is pretty impressive because I had a very boring day at school and have so much energy (well I did until I was 30 seconds into the video lol) like I almost fall asleep just my watching your 15 second RUclips stories Lmao 😂. Like your voice is just so soothing and amazing. It always takes me like 30 minutes to fall asleep to other asmrtist but I almost fall asleep just by listening to your 15 RUclips story. That proves that you are one of the best things that has happened to asmr. And you also work super hard on your vids (03:02:15) and still don’t have the subscribers that you deserve like seriously how do you not have 5 million subscribers the fact that you only have 90.9k is messed up, I know I will be sure to subscribe and turn on bell notifications 💛. But anyways keep up the great 👍 work and
keep on doing what you like.

I’m obsessed with old book (idk why). The oldest book I have is a bible printed in the late 1500s. I have various other random books printed as early as 1806. All of them are in good condition as well, the binding is still tight and the covers are in tact.
