It's a Mexico trip! While I was down in Leon filming with Lefarc tannery, I stopped by Thursday Boot Company to see how they make their famous Weatherproof Suede. You'll learn about more than oils and waxes in this fascinating look at the ins and outs of suede production. (This video isn't sponsored, it was a different tannery that paid for my trip and I checked in with TBC while I was there!)

After a terrible experience with Allen edmonds - buying 4 pairs of shoes and having 0 fit, I moved on to Thursday boots. I respect a company that sells me a straight forward product - no gimmicky sales, no confusing wide variety of fit types.

I personally love the transparency of Thursday. I respect it.
Not saying they're perfect (NO company is).... but I prefer companies that don't really care all that much what you see and are constantly making sure people are happy with their product.
That's a good standard imo.
It's also impossible to make boots at that price point without using these practices. So yes, being transparent is what's best for them overall.
interesting perspective. i think generally a lack of transparency frustrates customers these days - like Red Wing's silence during their hack last year made a lot of people angry. I think it's a lot harder to get away with a lack of transparency now
@@Stridewise Agreed. The internet pretty much forces competition to TYPICALLY comply with more transparency.
Although.... people can equally fake it easier these days. That's the downside with so much info

@@Stridewise I think when it came out I didn’t have the time to watch it but man this is a great video to really see what’s going on from there. Definitely makes me more enthused about owning Thursday boots seeing how well their operations and supply chain performs. Hi Nick. Air drying might be old fashioned but you can never get that fresh air dried smell from a dryer no matter how many dryer sheets you throw in . : )

Thursday makes some great boots. I love Thursday Chelsea boots. My only issue is that on my Thursday Duke (Chelsea boot) the loop ripped out on one and I have hardly worn them! So here is an opportunity to see if they stand behind their product. I have written them about the issue. I will let you know...since you give them great reviews and promotion in your videos. I'm hoping they will come through and fix the problem. James

My Captains arrived smelling heavy of some chemical and had to take them out of the house. I wonder if it's the waterproofing I am smelling. Considering returning them
If you were to pick two or three pairs of Thursday boots to wear for this winter. What models and in what color would you personally choose? I'm trying to make a decision. I'm Considering the Commanders, Duke's and Scout. I NEED a wide toe box and waterproofing. Anything specific that comes to mind?
I'm currently going through this process now haha, I'm going with my grey Cavaliers because I want to wear black and I don't love black boots and I currently love the ease of wearing Chelseas, and I'm doing the brown Captains because they're actually more of a burgundy so they go with a ton of palettes.
But you know, I don't like the look of chukkas and hiking boots (Scouts and Commanders) so my preferences aren't yours!
Don’t Own any Thursday shoes but after watching this video I wish I did…
I don't have any either and have been looking at them, unfortunately my options are limited due to width but I can still get the OGs. My friend ordered from them in February and had a squeak somewhere. He emailed them about it and didn't their response until this week and they are sending a new pair to him. Great customer service and that isn't the first time I've heard of that either.

Certainly I didn't find Aziz hard to understand and I'm glad you didn't either, I just know that some people have trouble with accents and given his voice was also a bit muffled by the mask I thought I'd play it safe.
Don't try to start anything man, he does speak the language but he has a thick accent, it was there just to avoid misunderstandings
