- Tutorial for configuring the Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Throttle Quadrant for use with Boeing 747 & 787. This should also work with the Cessna Citation Longitude and any other aircraft with a thrust reverser and no power detents.

Wow, thank you so much. You helped me realize i had my first quadrant programmed correctly, but i didnt have my 2nd quadrant on the 0 to 100% thing. Now all 4 throttles move evenly. Cant thank you enough!

Thank you so much for this video. I have 2 quadrants, and was not able to find a way to set both quadrants up. Thrustmaster give no guide or help at all.
You make it seem so easy and straightforward. I was getting ready to send the second set back. The company I had them from said the quadrants where fgaulty.
All that is faulty is Thrustmaster for not explaing how to set up the throttles.

Thank you so much for your excellent video, I had tried so many times to get the Airbus throttles working on a four throttle set-up, still have to get the speed brakes and flaps working correctly, I have not used MSFS for some time because of the Airbus throttle configuration, thanks again.

DId not work for me until I unchecked the reverse axis box. Then I was able to solve the reverse thrust problem thanks to Emile G below by binding the Joystick L-Axis + key to both Throttle 1 decrease and Throttle 2 decrease.
same for me had to uncheck reverse axis

Did you also program the starter buttons and the Crank & Ign start?
Neo settings are different.. both for the FBW and default version

hello, I like to know that, is it make any different when you make: + ADD new profile OR you COPY it from the DEFAULT?
Are you adding new profile to the DEFAULT or/and is that independent from the COPY? I hope isn't confusing my question.

I really like what you do, that's why I'm a subscriber. I have the TCA QUADRANT from Thrusmaster which is a good product, like yours. You set the adjustment for the 747 and 787 but since the last one update of ASOBO the settings are no longer correct. Are you going to update the product for the 787 so that I can fly because I really like this plane. Waiting to read you again with good news. Thank you very much.
hi as soon as turn on "reverse axis" my quadrant works reverse to the Boeing 787, The Full throttle TOGA makes plane go on Reverse

For the 787, using the same profile as the 747, as engines 1&2 were both assigned to the left lever, were both engines in fact being controlled by the one lever and the right lever was doing nothing? Thanks for the help in setting the throttles for the Boeings, as the current configuration for the A32NX doesn't transfer at all well!
Duplicate the profile and assign engine number 2 to axis Y. That should do the work. Remove the engines number 3&4 from that profile. Don’t forget to switch profiles.

Thank you! Any idea how to do this on Xbox? For some reason I'm only seeing the side stick and not the throttle. The throttle works fine otherwise with the Airbus aircrafts.

I have figured a fix for the reverse thrust in recent updates. Bind Joystick L-Axis X+ to Throttle 1 Decrease and to Throttle 2 Decrease. Bind Joystick L-Axis Y+ to Throttle 3 Decrease and Throttle 4 Decrease. It ain't perfect but it lets you activate full reverser from your throttle quadrant.

This configuration is for PC. My config shows “joystick L axis” 1 to 16 of them when I scroll down. I’m using Xbox. The configs you show don’t match mine. I don’t understand why thrustmaster has a switch in the front of the throttle quadrant that says 1-2 engine and 3-4 engine mode and you can’t fly a 4 throttle aircraft? I’m so lost. Big fail on thrustmaster.
Sorry, I forgot to tell you what wasn't working. When I put the throttle on it's fine, however I no longer have reverse and the spoiler moves at the same time as the throttles. Waiting to read from you. Thanks in advance.

I have figured a fix for the reverse thrust in recent updates. Bind Joystick L-Axis X+ to Throttle 1 Decrease and to Throttle 2 Decrease. Bind Joystick L-Axis Y+ to Throttle 3 Decrease and Throttle 4 Decrease. It ain't perfect but it lets you activate full reverser from your throttle quadrant.

For some reason mine is inverted. If I do 100% it’s in reverse please help.

@@Exsing I got this to work by duplicated the DEFAULT Profile for the TCA edition and then adjusting the sensitivitity from there rather than a blank profile. This got the thrusts working and all the other buttons "just worked"
I followed the instructions, but when I pull my TCA all the way down, the 747's throttle only goes into idle, not reverse.
If any one has the issue where the throttles go the opposite detection uncheck the reverse axis
I don't understand why Thrustmaster could not program that in automatically. I have 4 throttle quadrant, the left 2 only work when flying a 747.

My throttles are back to front, when I push the physical throttle controls to increase power, the power in-sim decreases, and vice versa, how can I fix this? Otherwise it works fine.
Idk about 747 but on 787 switch off the reverse setting on the throttle axis that goes the wrong way. In my case it was Throttle Axis 1
I also have a problem where the throttle levers also control the speedbrake lever. you know a fix for that?

@@mrverse99 On the 787, they are linked (eg reverse thrust will set the armed spoiler to full) otherwise, ensuring the same triggers aren't linked to 2 different functions would be a good start. Happy to help further.

Try setting it up again by using a fresh copy of the default A320 profile.

@@ilyaersoz1596 not sure at the moment. Not at me computer. Could be because of your sensitivity settings for your throttle quadrant. Could be in msfs or just computer settings.
