- A few of us have had difficulty setting up the Thrustmaster TCA Officer Pack Airbus Edition Thrust Levers with the brand new Aerosoft CRJ 550/700, so today I will show you how!

I am a real world Airbus pilot with thousands of hours flying the real aircraft and thought it would be fun to have a look at the new detailed simulation of the longest baby 'bus by Toliss as well as the new MSFS a320 NEO. Hopefully you find this useful and it brings another perspective to your simulation. Any thoughts or comments are welcome!

Thank you so much. Aerosoft should pay you a retainer. I’m not aware they have produced anything like this and its a HUGE issue for them as how many of us have TCA throttles. Thanks also for following up on your review, which alluded to this problem but didn’t deal with it as clearly as this. Whilst I’m writing, I’d just like to say that, in a crowded field, your video’s absolutely stand out for their clarity and obvious knowledge. I thought I’d blown £40 on the CRJ for nothing - you have saved me!
This really helps, thank you! It's nice to see that the TCA throttles work so well with this aircraft, I was a bit afraid they'd be too Airbus specific when I got them. I wonder what other Aircrafts these throttles would work well on

@@320SimPilot we can hope. The pandemic saw the local Jersey Aero Club close down which was tough, but a consortium have brought it back to life... only a matter of time until a local millionaire recreate Jersey European or even Jersey Airways!

With my Thrustmasters I absolutely get no value at Throttle Axis. And yes I followed every single step in your video. It actually was set like that already.

Thanks for video. You have the patience of saint. But OMG, the hoops you had to go through to get your throttle quadrant working??? Configuring my tca throttle quadrant in X-plane was a heck of a lot easier. Call me lazy but I'm sticking with X-plane for the foreseeable future (I know...I know...the scenery in msfs2020 rocks and all that). As always, looking forward to your next stream.
This video helps a lot but this is still a very complex craft. I need a good day, maybe a rainy day to really spend a lot of time on learning this craft.

Is there a way to map the engine fire buttons on the TCA to the red shutoff tabs?
Was a throw up between these and the honeycomb bravo throttles for me. Pre ordered the bravo last week on the aerosoft website. These look like great value though.

I've been trying to get the TCA throttles working for the Pilatus porter and other turbo props (default MSFS a/c) - but the throttles keep hitting 100% whenever I move them beyond 1/3rd of the way up. More programming needed. The sensitivity button is pegged all the way at the top and won't come down to the middle line either.

Been trying to map the flaps/gear/trim , but without any luck, any advise on that??Have also made a profile just for the CRJ, and been trying to map it in there? Works nicely on all other aircraft in the Sim.Thanks again!!!
Glad it helped Anders! For flaps and trim I have assigned them to the joystick and that works the same for me as my other aircraft. I hope you manage to get it sorted soon!
In you're opinion, what is the most realistic airbus pay-ware across all the sim platforms?
Does it works with the FBW custom version (with throttle detents) installed ?

Confused by "iPad" is that part of the CRJ Sim ? It looks like it ...I have heard others reference Calibrate Throttle for the Airbus 320 ?
This MSFS thing is starting to get very hairy. I have TCA setup am considering buying the addon quadrant (2 levers & more) but had not expected so much hair pulling. Please reply, nice video btw. I have learned some things about profiles I didnt know.
Can i ask a question? If you want to fly with a 4 engine plane does the throttle control only the two engines?

Does anyone have the TCA addons? My speedbrake works just fine, but I can‘t setup the flaps properly. :(
In my first flight I accidentally flipped on the emergency flap deployment which is near the parking brake. Aicraft kept dumping speed without me realizing what was happening until I finally found it. Tricky clicking sometimes
My throttle won’t do anything while I’m trying to edit in on the fly pad. As soon as I leave the editing it moves? Also not reverse axis needs to be on.
Hey 320! For some reason, my throttles are going into the -16384 at toga on the throttle and thats what it shows on the screen. I have updated them but this seems to be a bit strange as reverse axis is not on.

Thanks that's great. When validating I get an error that eng 1&2 Rev max overlaps idle. I've changed the gap figures but still get the message. Not a real problem, I'll press F2. The major problem that I have is that even though the yoke and elevators move, the aircraft won't lift off unless I've got 4000m of runway. Back to the manual. It's a shame because the A32NX worked straight away.

My throttle quadrant thinks that full power is reverse and that reverse is full power for he CRJ. Do you know how to fix that?
Think I'm doing something wrong. As soon as I try to do reverse thrust nothing happens.
You also do not see the colors of 1 & 2 change when you are outside the plane and you have your flying instruments visible. it works on other planes
Did you arm the thrust reversers? (I didn't to start with and ran into this exact issue!)
I get over laps when I validate ... Help ?
I.e. TOGA overlaps MAX POWER etc
Also my MAX value is negative, while in the video you have a positive value for the max power and a negative for full reverse. I hahve the oposite. I did do the changes in the configuration settings .. What can be wrong ?
My thrustmaster thrust lever is not working ....when i move the lever it changes view ..... can you please help me for a320 aerosoft
Thanks for this. I just bought the TCA throttle and stick and was really struggling! Of vital importance is to NOT download and install the Thrustmaster drivers for the TCA. I did at first and it did not send correct raw data. Just used Windows drivers and all is OK!

Thanks for the video, unfortunately, even after following your steps, my throttles still do not move the in-cabin levers. They register in the iPad thing but the levers do not move at all. I clicked the red tab things but still nothing. Anything else I need to do?

Hello Sim Pilot, I'm still having an issue with my TCA quadrant. I followed your steps and calibrated it on the EFB but for some reason the throttle on the place don't move at all.
EDIT: FYI, you need to start the plane at a cold and dark state or else it won't work.
Did you figure it out yet? I am having the exact same issues.
Im desperate to know how to set up the tca throttle quadrant with the CJ4 if anyone can please help me. Can't find anything anywhere.
When I validate the settings I get a message saying ERROR: Engine 1 Rev max overlaps idle? Can anyone explain this error and how to fix it? Thanks.
Make sure to use the default sensitivity settings within any profile you are using in the TCA Profile menu within MSFS 2020. Then be sure to redo the throttle calibration inside the CRJ EFB and make sure your numbers don't overlap. When you click validate you should get a message saying " no errors found ". If you get the Error Message like the one you recieved - you did something wrong. It should work fine once you follow the steps carefully as this can be a little confusing for the first time and I believe the sensitivity settings if not set as they came default can throw off the numbers when calibrating within the CRJ, causing the overlap error. Good Luck!

Hi, I am a bit late to the show on this topic, but have only just purchased this plane, reset my throttles has shown, have ensured that the 'reverse axis' is not ticked, yet when I push the levers forward to its furthest setting, I get the number -1638, pulling levers back result back to climb, the numbers go to zero, and from there to reverse thrust they enter positive, am I missing something?
Hi G D, there are a lot of possibilities. Firstly I recommend making sure you have all the correct drivers from thrust master. The instruction booklet included should guide you to the correct place to find them. It will also direct you on how to calibrate the thrust levers on first time use. I hope one of those helps!

Hello I did all the steps but still no movement on the throttle...
everything worked for me except when I reverse thrust it just goes to zero and my idle is at 25%.
should be noted, you need it in cold & dark, otherwise the throttles won't move with the TCA throttle..

Make sure the axis is assigned to the correct channel! By default it will not be.
@@320SimPilot try another time yesterday throttle move but when im max it s Write -16384...so I try with reversed axe and doesnt work again😅

If you have the tca throttle already it’s more reason to buy the CRJ as it’s perfect with it
