Al Jazeera Al Hamra (The Red Island) is a town of Ras Al Khaimah (city) in the United Arab Emirates. Al Jazeera Al Hamra town is well known for this abandoned village, houses and other buildings. Also known as ghost town in Ras al Khaimah. In 1968 majority of tribe accepted the offer to move to Abu Dhabi.
Currently renovation is going on and hopefully it will be ready with proper information about the history, life style, architecture and about the people who lived here.
I will visit again once it is completed.
"6 Underground", part of the movie were shot in this place in 2018.
