After watching your video regarding the 'sting' I wasn't expecting this at all! But i'm glad to be here and fully appreciate your message after many years, decades in fact, of similarly trying to balance responsibilities, trauma, kindness, friendship, with creative drive and fulfimlent. If you are an ideas person, this will never leave you whatever shit life throws your way. If you are kind, and clearly you are, then that will always come back around one way or another to support you. Thanks and good luck, Toby
Inspiring. I’m at a crossroads right now - want to dedicate my time to music production but the financial security work gives me is holding me back and keeps me miserable. I can retire and significantly reduce my income but could survive if I get rid of all the materialistic bullshit that doesn’t really give me happiness. My family and music is the only thing that really gives me joy. I’ve been at logger heads with myself lately Just watching this is really swaying me to follow my dreams of making music. Thanks again for this insight. Wishing you well for the future and all your endeavours. Wishing your mom a speedy recovery too. 🙏🏿
Such honest and relateable words. Thanks a lot for sharing. This is such an repeating question. What does the soul really want? In this time of Constant Change.. most important is to stay in trust. That Fear and need for security keeps coming up, but ease reminds us. Big hug to you!
Hey man, honestly, you're a beautiful soul! Thank you so much for sharing your insights. This is exactly what I needed to hear today. From A to Z. Thanks for your work! Follow your passion and everything else the universe will provide you with.
Kevin, We all need to look for new things and evolve by doing what we feel passionate about. Hopefully, you will keep doing the live/video tutorials because you inspire and help a lot of beginners or non-music-talented people like me. At least try to make music and perhaps make a living out of it or fill holes in our lives.
Bonjour Kevin. Tu as la vie devant toi! Fais ce que tu aimes, tu es doué pour la musique ! Et tu si tu viens pour un concert en France, fais nous signe😉👍
Respect Kevin. I have only just come back to your channel now that I have 12 Suite, as I was always fascinated by your M4L discoveries. I wanted to put my first comment on your latest video and it turns out to be your soul searcher! I am now 51 and have always had a dream of releasing a body of work from my own studio and thanks to the fact that technology has caught up since I first had this dream, I have set myself a goal for a 2026 release date. Your videos are priceless, your enthusiasm has been inspirational and your love for Max 4 Live makes this all so much more fun - all this said and I am not even a fan of Deep House, so that does say something about your content!!! (I grew up in South Africa, where it is a staple genre, so spent my 25 years DJing all sorts of Breakbeat to ensure I got the gigs) Keep up the good work. I have plenty of your videos to catch up on, so go ahead and take time away to focus on your own material, please!
Kevin, you're one of the most genuine person out there that I know. I've been searching for information and education in music production, and I did realize that a lot of people just make 15 min tutorial without showing or explaining anything about their workflow. I do respect a lot and I am thankful to come across your RUclips channels, as I improved my music production skills (all because of your videos) Thank you so much for chancing my life and opening my horizon to a brand new world (the world of sounds) I will be supporting you until you decide to let go of this channel and music in general. Keep up your hard work, we all love it and enjoy it as much as you do while making them. As a music producer (freshly new) I go by the name "Kaiotto" and this is my first year into music production. Cheers from Canada!
I don't comment much on videos, but I've been doing music production for maybe almost a year now. Entirely just for fun, and interest. In that time i've watched probably at least one video from the vast majority of electronic/ableton tutorial channels. They range in quality, but there's definitely a some decent stuff out there. But I say all that to quantify it when I say, there's not a single channel I can think of where the person in the video comes off even half as genuine and honest as you do. Sure, there are other's who are also genuine and authentic, but you're able to do it to such a different level. It's truly a hard thing to do. People might think it's as easy as just not trying to be fake, but it's almost our nature to be a somewhat embellished version of ourselves when on camera or in front of others. The ability to come across as authentically authentic is really a talent not many people have, and you have it. Your tutorials have taught me a lot, and I always felt completely relaxed watching you which I think helps with learning. So many videos are presented in such an over the top, fake way that even if the content is great, they can be uncomfortable to watch(EDM Tips for example, seems like a decent enough guy, seems like he's knows his stuff, but also comes off as fake even though he's probably not). Anyway, thank you for all the work you put into them, and sharing your knowledge with us. You put a lot of good energy and help out into the universe and I hope it all comes back to you at some point.
Brother. Hat off to you man. Beautiful confession on what you have been doing, how you have been feeling. You cannot control life and sometimes it can control you. But never forget the fucking talent you have. I found you about 2 months ago. Your videos/tutorials are amazing on your channel. Keep on making them super Kev. Also, try and get out more whenever you can. I know it's hard with your situation with your family.. but, don't feel guilty.. you too have a life to lead. I was in a similar situation with my dad. 4 yrs he wasn't well, and I was helping mum with him so it was very hard to relax or go out. He sadly passed away last March and now I live with mum, who I now help out as she too is elderly. But I do get to go out a bit more now.. life is too short, grab it with both hands my brother. I'm a late starter in music production (been 4 yrs now and so much to learn).. and am purchasing your sound packs as they are fucking awesome...Anyway....Be you, do what you wanna do.. and enjoy it. Stay strong my brother Kev. From one Kev to another.. peace out.
The great paul chek says when your not listening to your heart and just working to make money your giving in to the prostitute archetype. Follow your heart and things will find a way to magically fall in place. Being a dance music producer and never listened to any music on any substance is wild. I live for those special moments of perfectly orchestrated sounds
Yeah man You have helped me learn soooooo much watching your tutorial videos and inspired me by the music you were creating during those tutorials I use to always tell myself this guy is really talented and should be making music for people to hear because you have a gift. Going through evolution brings you closer to your purpose and where you should be.
thank you for your comment... it is really hard job to do... but hear beat on your soul... and take the right side... however next >> what is with "reaction" of songs from producers in the community? one youTube "LIVE" time in two weeks... ideas.... LG PeKodi
Thank you for sharing your story brother. Lot's of things here resonated deeply with me, since I'm also a music producer/ yt content creator. Just found out your channel and looking forward to your future creations.
Bro totally relate Cheers for sharing Am not as deep in the tunnel as you are, just 3-4 months in But making music is the priority Business ties later Expressing concepts brings fulfilment
Thanks for sharing this moment of vulnerability with us. I hope that this feeling of connection with your own heart and passion stays with you. Thanks for making all these tutorials in these harsh conditions. I can't wait to see what you'll create in the future, if you feel like sharing it, of course. Take care!
Thank you for sharing your experience, it’s very inspiring 🙏 everything is a question of balance. Why are we always like « I’m doing this and this only because that’s the right thing to do, my passion can wait » but we actually can do both lol. I feel the same and work on this too. The thing is to not pay attention on the ego saying « ok so you decided to follow your passion now, you might not fail… ». I think the real work is to find the balance to fulfill one with the other. Anyway, was very nice to hear your experience.
Hello Bless you You have one of the most inspiring and motivating content on Ableton and . . . Keep on Being creative Wishing a Quick and easy recovery for your mother and Wishing you the best 🙏🏻❤
Wow, i recognize myself so much through your experience. I put my artistic soul aside for almost 10 years and your RUclips channel is one of the reason wich made me realise that making music missed me terribly. Thank you so much for all your work and thank you for bringing back to life the spark of creativity in me. With all my respect, love from France See you on the dancefloor ;)
Beautiful share, always inspiring to see someone living with integrity even when its scary or hard. Outdoor festivals have given me so much, ive made so many life long genuine friends and been to so many good places through them, im in my 40s now and am constantly amazed at the wonderful people im surrounded by, keep going with that! Id also recommend checking in with your stance on substances from time to time, they can be so life changing in a positive way if you go in to it well researched, using moderation and using them sustainably as a special occasion. Cant wait to hear some of your tunes and mixes.
Hi Kevin! This is the RUclips we want back, with more personality. I think all music producers should watch this video once in their life. Even though everyone has their own path, everyone ends up following the same flow. Thank you so much for sharing what's in your heart and best of luck on your artistic journey! 👊🏼🔥
That's beautiful. I'm glad you came to the realization. At the heart lies self reflection. Something that has helped me also very much. Liebe Grüße aus dem Ruhrgebiet!!
I know exactly what you are saying with the reset and going to an event to listen to good music and dancing with others. It’s inspirational for sure! Life is hard and I get that feeling of being stuck and then my artistic side goes away. I’ve been djing since 99 and know what I am doing in that area of music but in music production I have so much more to learn and your videos have inspired me to do just that so I thank you! Keep doing what you love…we love what you are doing!
as someone whos been stuck in my room for 2 years and telling myself that it is ok (it isn't) i really needed this video. Thank you all the best with your artistic journey
Thanks for your comment. Going out can really help to refresh one's perspective on life. Doing something you love with people you share similar interests with can help too!
The joy you bring to your channel is contagious and I've learned a lot from you because of that. Monetizing your passions is always a difficult journey, take care of yourself so that joy and enthusiasm never wavers. If I may ask, in what part of the world are you located now?
The ability to be authentic in what you do is one of the greatest assets you have. Great video. Life is short so do what makes you happy. Your videos are super helpful and your sample packs are some of the best on the market. Thanks for all you do.
Bare-naked and totally true. Parts of this video could have come from my side as well. I run a blog in my spare time besides my daily job. There was a time when I thought that there were not enough visits on my blog. And I thought that the only way to increase the numbers would be to post more articles. Dude, what a crap I sometimes wrote! And this made something with me as I neglected my daily tasks and my private life. And did the counts increase? Not at all. Because the content was crap. Then, there was a time during the high increase of refugees here in Germany. And I saw that not everybody liked it. So, I posted articles after articles after articles. And it freaking burnt me out. Finally, I decided after a break: Hey, only post something when you really have something to say and don't comment daily news, this is what news pages have as their core. I took a deep breath, and - well - the visits increased. I also make music myself in my spare time. I came back to it during the Pandemic. In the 80s, I was a trained drummer. In 1992 I met a cool guy and we started doing Electropop and Eurodance and all that stuff. Later, I continued alone until the stuff broke around 2005. Due to unemployment, I could not replace it. And then, there were other things important. Until the Pandemic. I've bought a new keyboard and connected it to an online platfom called "BandLab". And I've found my way back. In May last year, I've switched to Ableton. And I've followed a lot of dudes who tell the world how you should do your thing to survive in the music industry. But, hey, I just want to make music as a hobby. Letting this go gave my music a real push, so I know what I exactly have to do. But this didn't prevent the darkest time of my life. During the critical year 2021 with all the doors closed and tons of work when you simply didn't have enough time to sleep. During this time, my mother got seriously sick. And in October 2021, she sadly passed away. It was a sunny automn day. My boss back then played a strange game. I asked for some days free. His reaction was that he cannot imagine who should do all the work. This made me continue to work. I was so exhausted that I still have blood pressure problems today. In the end, I can understand your plans. Do what lets you live, not what makes you a living. Without personal strength, humans are unable to work on their tasks. And if in doubt, it's always the best to have a good private life. With all that, you can do whatever you want. That's why I wish good luck, Kevin. And by the way, my current boss takes care of his team. So, such a time like described will never happen again as long as this constellation is in place.
Respect for being so open with all that. When I started watching your Videos and streams some time ago I really resonated with the vibe of yours and the whole community (and still do), the streams are always like a cosy living room to come into. So I can't speak for all the people but I feel like no matter what you decide to do you're videos about I can get something out of it. And I feel like that for some RUclips channels were its more of 'I click on the video to see a friend who don't knows me' than, 'I click on that Video because I need to know how to use that device' (or something). (Venus Theory had a Video about that thing once). Now and then when I see a video or stream, where you talk about your current situation, some things come to my mind I would like to recommend to you. But in 'Endeffekt' im just a random dude in your comments and don't know you really. So I hope you find your way with all the things going on and wish you and your family only the best. Maybe (privately) experiment with other things to do then just music, I would imagine that could push the inspiration. You're a good soul dude, so anyway things gonna turn out good for you!
Bro - you and i have so mouch in common. i had the same issues , after i lost my father 10 years ago. so i really do understand you so much .i had the same issues and conflicts between music and family and life. you seems to be so good person - i wish we could sit and talk , and making some music together. wishing you and your mom all the best !!! keep up doing what you do. we need it . and one last sentence for conclusion - WHERE WORDS FAIL - MUSIC SPEAKS !❤
I understand I didn’t touch my daw for 2 years and haven’t any inspiration, but I watch videos and if it comes the inspiration come by itself or not I don’t push that. Thanks for the inspiration
Hey bro, I’ve been following your music journey for a while now. Very appreciative of everything you’ve put out. This vulnerable message speaks to many people out there, including myself in how we navigate our creative process in the midst of larger than life scenarios that we find ourselves in. You are seen and heard in your experience. I am a supporter of not just your music, but your personhood, and I will be for a long time to come. Many blessings! - Mazen
Great moment. Thanks for sharing. I hope you still in yours heart's path. This is always the best path to follow. Your job is incredible by its own just because it's yours. God bless your mom and your familly. Be happy! 🎉
Great Testimony Kevin. You’re a good person man. You are passionate about our art and you’re humble. I wish you the best for your future projects. Follow your dreams and never give up.
Bro! I was in the middle of finding tunes for my gig tomorrow and stopped what I was doing when I saw your video! Grateful to see, hear your story. It resonates me on many angles. I always wondered why you never made music as you have sooo much talent! Thank you for being genuine and vulnerable! Thanks for the ambience music in the background as well! Ona side note, you could also be a life coach (another income stream ;)) Looking forward to hearing YOUR music! All the best man!
Thank you for inspiring Kevin - by accident I bumped into Mredrollos RUclips channel recently - if you don't know him yet, it is kinda resonating with what you are sharing in this video ... he recently released an EP on Tim Green's label for a memory ... as I wrote you on soundcloud a year ago - I can't belive that your music isn't heard all over the place ... I knwo it will be heared -!!! And you are inspireing a lot of people with your love and joy - from the bottom of my heart - THANK YOU !!!
Thank you for this video Kevin You are an inspiration You are so valued You're so on your path buddy I wished when watching this I could just reach through and give you a big hug 🤗 Keeping in keeping it real man♥️🙏🔥
just be careful not to fall in the same mindspace with your music, i.e. just looking for streams and clicks. i remember a time where i was checking my soundcloud 10x a day to see how many people have clicked my latest set since 1hr ago.... as you said yourself, do it for the love and inspiration.
You're absolutely right. It's easy to get carried away by metrics. It's important to regularly take steps back to remind oneself WHY we're doing what we're doing.
I remember your first video outside 2 years ago. How excited you were starting this. Now just a next chapter you were dreaming of. You have a good heart and sense of feeling. Go express yourself! Now! Next time get some mushrooms and touch the music 😅Just a bit.😝 Loose your mind. Find your soul. 🪷 MAKE FUCKING MUSIC!🤩 1 genre which makes you dance 🕺
What I understand is that you've discovered the constraint of work versus passion. Once you left your job as a jewelry salesman, you lost your inspiration because you had to create something to earn income, not because you were inspired. A job should always remain a passion; if that's no longer the case, you need to change because you are unhappy
Absolutely. Especially with RUclips it's easy to get caught in the endless spiral of "how can I do better" because that's the road the algorithm forces you down. It suppresses creativity so much. That's why taking a break and re-evaluating life helps. Thanks for this comment!
A to mně baví. Jde z tebe jakýsi klid a to je trochu magické. To ti nikdo nevezme a asi to ani nezmizí. Keine angst. :D
A famous writer, I mean it was Friedrich Dürrenmatt, once said: "Man is focussed on a "you". We need interaction with others, we want to reflect ourselves in them. RUclips is a great thing, I learned so much, even from people like you. But, giving in this format is a one-sided thing. Followers and likes help, but it's not a natural, healthy interaction. It's good if you go out and surround yourself with real people. Did I understand it correctly from your biography? That you have "only" played with electronic instruments in your artistic expression so far? I appreciate this instrumentation very much, I also play around with it, but as a long-time musician (bass, cello) I would like to recommend you to learn a natural instrument. Piano, guitar, flute, drums, vocals, no matter. It's not about you become a master. It's about direct contact with natural sound generation, directly from your body out. Take a teacher, let yourself be well guided and leaded, without stress. It could be a good support for you in times when you feel like you're losing yourself. Why are you recording this video surrounded by nature? Certainly also because it looks good and is fitting. But certainly also because the environment gives you something back, helps you to focus on yourself (which youtube will never give you back because it is unidirectional). In the same way, a natural instrument gives you something back that electronic instruments can never give you back. Because you create the sound, but you don't create it physically out yourself. You still have a long artistic way to go, and you will probably try a lot more... Good luck with that all!!! ✌️
I think you came to the wrong conclusion with the rave/party experience. The conclusion should be to go out more and experience life. Your cousin is totally right!
I understand music without weed but with it I go to another higher level. But unfortunately weed brings me negative thoughts. I prefer to enjoy music in its natural state without weed. I prefer to look elsewhere. I think Yoga is a good option. Greetings.
Same here. That's why I've mentioned that I haven't had the best experiences. Weed brings forth all the worries and amplifies them. I find it helpful to breathe and remind oneself of the present moment when those negative thoughts arise. Thanks so much for your comment and support Nakir!
great talk man. i listed to every word as some relates to me. i stay at home with my mom as well. you are an angel for taking care of your mom AND grand parents. wow. good to always follow your heart. i wish you all the best and i look forward to what is coming from you. my college Philosophy professor on the first day of class said that weed is a shortcut to meditation. that's why you really felt the music and your mind expanded. Archangel Sandalphon (archangel of music) has your back man. don't forget your invisible guides...sometimes those inspirations or little ideas or nudges come from them especially when you are surprised by one. i wish you all the best Kevin. 🙏 i mght have to try Afro House Drum n Bass or something. 😁💃🕺👾

Wow crazy thanks for your honest words, i can totally feel you. If music becomes too much "business" you loose the fun part in it
Absolutely. Thanks for your comment!
Beautiful and inspiring story, thanks for sharing dude! Excited to see what comes through you for ambient/meditation music.

Thanks for this supportive comment, mate!
Hello

Wow, i recognize myself so much through your experience. I put my artistic soul aside for almost 10 years and your RUclips channel is one of the reason wich made me realise that making music missed me terribly. Thank you so much for all your work and thank you for bringing back to life the spark of creativity in me. With all my respect, love from France
See you on the dancefloor ;)
Thank you for your comment! :)
Thank you for sharing your story mate❤

Hey man wish you all the best in your new creative endeavours and respect for following your passion and putting yourself first
Thanks for your comment Conduit!
man you are so honest and im a great fan of you, I think at some point we would be really gd friends if we met in real life!
love and peace for u
Thanks so much, man. All the best to you :)
Thanks so much for this comment. I'll continue to keep you updated on my life and music ;)
It's so wonderful seeing you being so honest and staying true to yourself. Thanks man.
Hey bro! No need to burn yourself out, ever. Follow your heart!
Absolutely Joey! :)
Hi Kevin! This is the RUclips we want back, with more personality. I think all music producers should watch this video once in their life. Even though everyone has their own path, everyone ends up following the same flow. Thank you so much for sharing what's in your heart and best of luck on your artistic journey! 👊🏼🔥
Thanks for your comment and your support!
All the best for the future!
Thank you!
You are doin' a great work man. Keep creating !
Thanks man, will do so! :)
Much respect for your honest talk. Keep being true to yourself following your heart and life will inevitably sort itself out.
That's beautiful. I'm glad you came to the realization. At the heart lies self reflection. Something that has helped me also very much.
Liebe Grüße aus dem Ruhrgebiet!!
Danke und Grüße zurück! :)
Thanks for your comment!
as someone whos been stuck in my room for 2 years and telling myself that it is ok (it isn't) i really needed this video. Thank you all the best with your artistic journey
Thanks for your comment. Going out can really help to refresh one's perspective on life. Doing something you love with people you share similar interests with can help too!
Your videos are a goldmine for musicproducers . Thank you for this video. Very inspiring!
Thanks Woven! All the best.
Great authentic moment. Keep up! You made a huge difference in my musical journey as to so many others I’m sure. Kiss from france ❤
Amazing to hear that. Thanks for your comment!
Thanks so much for your continuous support Denis. All the best to you as well!
Thanks so much for your comment, Henning. Your support means a lot! Glad to hear there's people resonating with what I say. Bless you!
Hello
Bless you
You are one of the most inspiring and motivating content on Abe and . . .
Wish you the best 🙏🏻❤
Thanks so much!
Vielen Dank lieber Peter. Dein Support bedeutet mir sehr viel!
Creative Balance ❤❤❤
🤎
Thanks so much Wusulu. You've been such a fantastic supporter to me and I appreciate every word of yours. All the best to you! :)
Thanks for your loving comment! All the best to you.
I understand I didn’t touch my daw for 2 years and haven’t any inspiration, but I watch videos and if it comes the inspiration come by itself or not I don’t push that. Thanks for the inspiration
You're very welcome. Thanks for your support!

- Mazen
Bless you Mazen, thanks for your comment!

It's a small detail, but I'm terrible at English. However, I think you're the person I understand best in English on the internet
just be careful not to fall in the same mindspace with your music, i.e. just looking for streams and clicks. i remember a time where i was checking my soundcloud 10x a day to see how many people have clicked my latest set since 1hr ago.... as you said yourself, do it for the love and inspiration.
You're absolutely right. It's easy to get carried away by metrics. It's important to regularly take steps back to remind oneself WHY we're doing what we're doing.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

✨🙏🧘♂️❤
I remember your first video outside 2 years ago. How excited you were starting this. Now just a next chapter you were dreaming of. You have a good heart and sense of feeling. Go express yourself! Now!
Next time get some mushrooms and touch the music 😅Just a bit.😝
Loose your mind. Find your soul. 🪷
MAKE FUCKING MUSIC!🤩 1 genre which makes you dance 🕺
Haha amazing comment man. Thanks so much for it. I'll keep you updated on life :)
Thanks for sharing bro i want to be your friend haha greetings from argentina
All the love! Thanks for this comment.

Yeah, the party was just a nice switch up compared to what I normally experience and thus really inspiring. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks so much for this loving comment. I love tuning into your channel as well. A lot of high vibrations there :) Keep it up and thanks again!
