Putting way too much oil in the gas. This can cause as much damage as too little oil. Carbon builds up and can stick the piston ring(s) or flake off and ruin the piston and cylinder. Carbon is abrasive like sand paper. Just use a quality oil that is FD rated at the recommended ratio.
My great grandaddys aunts uncles sisters brother inlaws son told me he thinks his father said the spark arrestor was clogged. But I realized my second cousins dog last owner had just forgot the sparkamaniflaps.
That blower is like mine that I bought new around 1998. I checked the spark arrestor first. Then I bought a tuneup kit on Amazon for $15 and it runs like brand new.
I worked for a lawn care service yeras back. We had a lot of Echo stuff. Good stuff but soon as we would get new stuff we would take the screen out before we would even start it up. They are a lot better without them
Yeah, yeah I've seeing them, you're right, you're right, mine is pb 200, is just that the muffler is gone and is too loud, it runs great but is too damn loud.
and dont forget the exgaust port 2 that 2 gets lots off carbon 2. carrefully, with the torch do it out side cause it will light up if there lots of sut,and through away that screen it will run much better.
Thanks for the heads up on this engine feature 1986Ford-250! Will do! Reminds me of my RIDGID vacuum that went out that upon dismantling I found an in-wire-wrap fuse that burned out that the factory cuddles up next to the motor wrapping. Removed it and the vacuum is still working to this day. They know the average consumer will not check for continuity with a meter and hence just go and buy a new vacuum....clever folks....thanks again!
@@MattsRageFitGarage Most people didn't. Don't have to be inside of a forrest to start one. A seasonal campsite on the outskirts of one is enough, as one good example. Good luck getting them out of new equipment, their starting to build them into the muffler now, only way your getting it out, is by cutting it out without destroying the muffler.
@UC3qWTKGff73U_uwithQ5aaQ In the past two years I've purchased two new echo products. 5 screws and the screen was right behind the deflector. A drill bit and a drill and about half an hour and the catalytic converter is removed as well. I live nowhere near a forest and it's always pretty wet here. Most of my stuff is 40+ years old with no sorts of epa or safety anything and never started a fire nor hurt anyone. Not going to worry about it in my case. Until about 20 years ago most 2 cycles didn't even come with a spark arrestor screen. So, if someone lights a forest up with one of those they're going to jail for it never coming with one? I have a couple of 1950's chainsaws that are pretty much wide open exhaust, that were used in forestry for years. Never heard of them lighting a fire lol.
I have the PB 200 90's model, I took a hacksaw blade and cut the plastic cover in front of the muffler for easy access.

for my all equipment , i remove those
Their starting to make them built into the muffler where you cant get at them unless you cut it out.
fearlessdjw that’s so when they clog you have to buy the whole muffler which is a pain

Do not put that screen back in! Take it out and leave it out
You have alot of oil in the muffler and under it. Do you exagerate with the oil mixture proportion ? Looks clogged with oil !
that blower is insanely clean compared to mine
the Brazos river! so many memories on that river down by Koppe Bridge. nice video on the clogged spark arrestor
Just cleaned and drill some holes in the muffler so it flows more I’ll see how it runs tomorrow on my Husqvarna 125b blower
They put holes in the muffler guard so you can get your screw driver in their and don't have to remove that whole guard.

Add more oil, in future, less oil more carbon.more oil less carbon.
Nice you found the problem
Take those spark arrestor screens out of everything you own, the engines will start better, have more power and use less gas, and last longer.

Just don't do it if your using it near a forrest. If you do and it ends up catching fire and they find out, its jail time and a heavy fine.
@@Mr_Tecumseh I dont plan on using my blower or weedwacker in a forest.

QUit using cheap oil and run it at 100:1 instead of 50:1....I promise it will work!!
