Really helpful! All other videos should take a lesson from your findings. Followed exactly what you said and it worked perfect. My trimmer no longer bogs down !! It’s working perfect. Gracias amigo trabaja excelente, te agradezco por el video.
Hey Guillermo, thanks a ton for taking the time to help us out here. My 251 was leaking fuel from the carb so I bought a carb from Amazon ($16). Simple job to swap them out but it died under throttle. Didn't notice the little adjusting screw because it was camouflaged by the stupid cap. Thanks to your instructions, it now runs perfectly.
Hello Guillermo. Quedo suscrito.
Idk what I was thinking. I kept thinking it was getting to much fuel. Therefore I kept closing it little by little. I never considered opening up the fuel. Worked like a champ. Thanks.
Ok. I’ll use silicone gun after adjustment. Also consider that is the machine is kind old the best thing it’s adjustment to de carb and then use it. For next time after start let it run for about 5 min then should be ok. If you got the new carb because was dying when giving gas and the new one needs adjustment every time could be and old motor, so let it warm for 5 min before use. Also if can test the pressure at the cylinder will be good also. Good lock
Food for thought: put my Stilt weedeater in the shop a couple of years ago where I bought it and they told me me they don't rebuild the carburetors anymore - they just order new one's and install them . Cheap on the customer and less trouble over all , in there findings that rebuild them cost more in the long run than installing a new one . And the rebuilds weren't holding up , and I agree because a year prior to putting it into the shop where I bought it - another shop rebuild it - and of course about a year is all I got too out of it .
Yes. Is the truth.more expensive rebuilding than new. But this type of carb needs adjustment, don’t open gas to much because will run to hard and the membrane will last months. A new Chinese carb with shipping it is about $15 and can last 2 years. Thanks for your feedback.
There used to be on all the older machine a high and low speed needle on the carburetors ! Any little issues with those older machines could most likely be fixed with a small adjustment like you did here!
Very nice video. Thank you for the info.

GOOD JOB --THAT WAS THE FIX
Thanks fixed my problem
And lots of cases it is not the spark arrestor it is merely a small air adjustment on the carburetor underneath a spongy filter
