Alhamdulillah, thank you Yusuf for this! I've strayed away from the path of Allah s.w.t ever since I drowned myself in school work, giving the excuse I could not focus on the duties Allah has given me to fulfil due to the lack of time. But I've realised that these are all just excuses, and this video has shown me that achieving the balance between the deen and Dunya is possible. I will start now and try my best. There is a of Hadeeth that this video reminded me of it says that the Sahabas have seen a man working diligently, and the prophet PBUH was with them, so they told him "wouldn't it be better if he did this for the sake of Allah?" He answered "If he went out striving for his young children, then this is for the sake of Allah, and if he went out striving for his old parents, then this is for the sake of Allah, and if he went out striving to maintain chastity for himself, then this is for the sake of Allah, and if he went out striving to show off and boast, then this is for the sake of Satan."
Setting the right intentions makes even the pursuit of your own happiness a Ibadah, Allah SWT is really generous!

I tried many times to balance them both but unfortunately everytime I fall into the same pit of dunya. Intentionally doing wrong things and committing sins continuously living in guilt why did I do that? Sometimes it leads to severe depression. This video has inspired me a lot to start again. I would rather put everything on the akhirah, that makes more sense than „balance“ which is a trap
And your lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.
The ultimate goal of everyone is achieving satisfaction and that could be different for different people and it is.some may get satisfaction in those things that other people already have but these people find satisfaction in other things. like some may get satisfaction in love some in money (this eg is for the sake of understanding ,these two can be anything opp.) So everyone at some point of life will get something with which they would be satisfied. It can be the same thing that they always wished for or something else but ultimately they would be satisfied as it is the promise of Allah. Till then we need to fullfill the duties of this world and the next. I mean balance as this video is already about.
I don't know if any one would understand this thought of mine. I mean the whole life revolves around satisfaction. satisfaction to make Allah happy or getting the love of Allah . satisfaction to achieve those things that will land one in Jannah . What else do we need except the satisfaction. Any ways if even a single person will get benefitted by these lines that would also be the kind of satisfaction for me.
