This is a lovely little video. My husband showed it to me, it reminded us of our early days of motorcycling in the early sixties. Everything was knew, travelling to places we had not seen or even heard of. Your amazment is so sincere and your language is lovely, chatty and funny, no need to be rude to be macho. We always try and wear our open face as we can talk to one another easier, not the same with blue tooth etc. We chat all the time just like you do to the camera. My husband laughed every time you said wow. I am the wrong side of 60 and hubby is 74 and we still get the same excitment finding new roads and travelling on the bike. Enjoy your life on two wheels and we hope you find a partner who can enjoy it with you. Why don't you start your own page then it is easier to find you. Best wishes. Lynda.
Glad you enjoyed Lynda and thank you very much for the lovely comment! Amazing to hear of your fond memories of riding and many more to come :) Cheers!
The true spirit of motorcycling is alive and well with you, matey. Freedom, humour, humility and adventure. I have a million times more respect for you than all the harley / goldwing credit card "tourers" in the world. Hope you have had loads more adventures.
Just wanted to see how refreshing this is... a normal bloke on an everyday bike...not one big budget BMW 1200GS or KTMs featured, no vast sponsorship deals, no plugs for Kriega or Klim clothing or Touratech luggage, none of this 'solo' journey with a big back up and film crew in tow. It was an absolute pleasure to watch. Thank you, and I'm looking forward to watching some more tales of your trips.
A pleasure to watch and listen to, no lunatic riding, no swearing, and no big bike ego stuff. Makes me want to buy a small bike just to get back to the simple roots of what it is really all about.
Absolutely amazing, first time I've ever watched a 40 minute 125 video and not been bored in the slightest! Missing the WR already though :( How long till you can upgrade to something bigger?
Found your channel today; and have to say I really enjoy your videos. I've been researching dual sport and enduro bikes for commuting and adventure tourism, so this and your WR vids have been a great resource for me, many thanks.
funny thing. I live in NI and I want buy Varadero 125 but every Varadero is in England, no one sell Varadero in NI, for now. maybe I will make go to Glasgow and buy one and back to NI ;)
I remember taking my day old M3 to Wast Water in 2003. Picked her up in Edinburgh and stopped there for the night on the way south. 20 years later I have just done my CBT and planning a trip for May. Arundel across to Wales, up the middle, around to the lakes, NC500, PENIS287, Yorkshire dales, Pennines and home…hopefully around 5 days on a Sinnis Terrain 125
I'm a late-comer to your videos but a big fan already. You have a relaxed style and the commentary is natural, interesting and funny! Great work. Safe travels. Joe.
That was an awesome trip. I tried to go from Sussex to Scotland in 1979 on my Honda XL125s (I think, but it may have been my Kawasaki K200 in 1980); I was 21 or 22 years old, but the weather was so bad that I had to turn back when I got to the lake District. It had rained all the way in mid summer. One guy had his family in a tent, all the kids were crying and he was banging in tent pegs at about 3 am. That morning I admitted defeat and have still never been to Scotland! Subscribed.
Mad respect for doing this journey on your own, and then on a 125! Definitely inspired me to ATLEAST take my bike to the Lakes. Been there a few times but never on a bike.
Really enjoyed it. A very open honest journey on V twin 125 Honda. I also have the same bike 2011 model which I bought weeks after my CBT 7 yrs ago and despite getting full licence and a bmw 1150 GSA, I kept the Varadero which has done 43,000 miles. Keep it going mate.
What a great video. Really enjoyed watching it. You must have some big balls to go and do that on your own, its something I want to do but it's hard when you have a family. Keep on riding and stay safe.
Amazing effort to just get up and go like that! It's definitely inspired me to get on my bike and go on a little adventure of my own! Life is too short! Loved the video mate, hope you've had many other adventures since!
Cant believe you went in all that water! I'm a massive scaredy cat! Would do the trip though :) You're a real inspiration, just goes to show you only need something that will do the speed limits!! Loved the video xx
What an awesome journey. Thats what owning a motorcycles really about making memories and enjoy every minute. I have a Varadero and its on 34k and the engine is still silky smooth.
Great capture of the British countryside. The land has a sturdy, understated elegance to it. Also it looks like you were the only one out there, so that's a huge plus.
Really enjoyed that. Just goes to show you don't need a huge bike or loads of kit to have a great time. Reminds me of going to the South of France on an RGV 250. Anything is possible!
Really enjoyed this. Just goes to show that touring doesn't have to be on bigger bikes and with a 125, it kind of dictates that you stay off the boring motorways and allows you to discover our beautiful island
Two Wheel Review classic thinking on getting one been looking for months now. question for you the A1 theory does you have to take a theory hazard perception test as well or just theory. regards micahel
Old video, but a good'un. I've just bought an xl1000 varadero. What a cool guy. Nice one. Hope your still loving it. Never knock a 125, I rode loads of them (rd125) until my first litre bike. It just shows, you can do anything on a 125 you can do on a 1200gs panzer wagon. But shart loads cheaper.
I completely understand your decision man! I've had a wrx 125 too and now that i've got my A2 license, I have upgraded to a ktm 1050 adventure . these adv bikes are awesome and they can carry you and your stuff much more comfortably through your adventures :-) Congrats on your new bike and I wish you loads of fun on it.
Thanks for the kind words man! Its nice to have the on and offroad capability mixed into one great package but like you said the comfort and luggage capabilities are so useful :)
David thank you very much for the feedback, Motorcycle adventure touring is my passion, the dream is go full time, touring the world and sharing my adventures, I am currently in the process of saving up for a big trip so stay tuned late 2017 :D
22:40 wow I stayed a few metres behind the cathedral 15 years ago as a student in UK, used that entrance daily for 1 whole year... memories. You forgot to mention the super lamb banana though mate
Kudos for just getting out there and going for it. It brought back good memories for me as I've done lots of camping and mountain biking in the Lake District and also Dumfries & Galloway. If you ever go back to the Lakes make sure you check out the Kirkstone Pass and Honnister Pass. If you go to Scotland again look in to doing the NC500. The west coast of Scotland is stunning. I'm now living in New Zealand and about to embark on a motorcycle tour of my own.
wow great trip when you 1st camped in Scotland that's where we go on family holidays that track through the farm and past the light house to the beach. The west coast is lovely
Great video thanks. I have to admit, when I first tuned in, saw you and what you were going to collect, I thought I'd be turning it off within a few minutes! But well done young man lol, great footage, right amount of chat and view, one of the better RUclips tour video's I've seen. Subscribed. I'll be watching your other video's now :)
@@davidmcateer2815 id say more than a bargin mate , seen a few going that price but found one thats all ready. its cost me my 04 cbr and 600 quid lmao. but ive wanted one for yearssss!!

Rob really appreciate the support, thanks so much! After the euro tour the varadero has a special place in my heart and I'd thought I'd give her one last run before upgrading to a bigger bike at the end of July. I'd love to explore more of Scotland, they're going to find it hard to compete with the roads of Wales! Cheers Harvey
You're quite welcome buddy. Very curious to see which bigger bike you go for. After seeing your reaction to riding your mates DRZ - I have some suspicions lol.
Hey Brilliant video, thanks for posting! Inspires me to go off and have some adventures! Have you got any more info on that aerial zip wire thing? Thanks, Craig
Really enjoyed your video and you have finally helped me make the decision to tour ,first the UK , then Europe, gratefully yours ,good luck on your goals to do this for a living. 👍
An inspirational video, I enjoyed every minute of it, I have a BT110 for touring and now next season is going to be put to use after watching this, thank you, Kind Regards Mark..
Great video, thanks for sharing. Glad you enjoyed South Wales, I live near the Brecon Beacons and it's really beautiful and friendly. Ride safe and thanks again
Well done, brilliant adventure actually worthy of the title a proper adventure. At nearly 60 I consider your journey inspirational. Well done my friend of the road.
Great watch that Harvey ! You have a mature head on young shoulders there fella Nice work. Inspiring stuff that and at 51 makes me wanna' start panning and get out there cheers ! ;-)

Great stuff mate! Good to see someone just going for it, especially on a little 125. You got lucky with the weather, every time I have toured across Wales the weather has been horrendous!
Great vid pal im just back into biking myself and you have given me some great ideas/places to head for enjoyed start to finish keep up the good work dude and keep em coming !!!!!
Braken is well drained soil and cotton grass is boggy. Fantastic location and a fantastic bike for the tour. Don’t tell anyone but I have a 175cc kit to fit to mine!😂 Raw power ahoy!
Great video, well made. If your planning a trip east, you should try Nordsjøveien, Trollstigen, Odda with a trip to Folgefonna and Geiranger in Norway.. recently sold my Honda VTR and got a Suzuki DL650 V- strom.. Way more comfy and fuel efficient four those long trips.
Awesome video and looks such a great trip. Myself and a friend went up to Derry last year to buy a hornet 600s but was put in the back of a trailer. Inspired me to take a trip over to the UK next year.

Awesome video man, really makes me want to buy a touring style bike and go off around the UK or Europe, hands down the best 125 tour videos I've seen thanks for sharing!
Cheers Scott glad you enjoyed, get out there and do it, if you're interested I'm looking at organising a tour around Europe in September check out my website in the video description for more info :)
Well made video. My bike mad hubbie loved it. Will watch part 2 tonight and look forward to many more videos from you. P.S. You look just like my youngest son!
Awesome video. Just how did you manage to jump in cold water?? Also, you overtook police-car which is crime-like condition in the USA; thanks God that I am in the UK!
Enjoyable video. I just completed a tour from Southern Spain to Northern Spain (Asturias). The scenery is very similar. Curious though as to how you charged your camera battery.
Awesome video, now I'm getting excited thinking about where to take my Varadero next. And about how much it'll cost to get a helmet cam and mic :-( 10 countries in 3 trips last year, probably won't manage to repeat that but there's still plenty of nice places in Britain I haven't ridden yet...
Cesar Marques There are loads of official campsites you can use dotted around all over the UK, but if you’re sensible where you pick to pitch your tent, you can get away with wild camping, most of the time it’s lighting a campfire that attracts attention, but when up in Scotland you can wild camp wherever with no worries!
wow. at first I thought why on earth would you go all the way to northern Ireland to get a bike? well, that was only for the first couple of minutes... ;-) absolutely gorgeous scenery.!

I have truly enjoyed watching this. Good job, amazing journey!
Well done Harvey, your obviously a bit of an adventurist as heart.... well done too you.
Well made video. My bike mad hubbie loved it. Will watch part 2 tonight and look forward to many more videos from you. P.S. You look just like my youngest son!
Thank Sharon glad you've enjoyed the series so far! I'll take that as a compliment :)
Awesome video! It was a joy watching your adventure!
I've been considering a Varadero for a while and this video has convinced me!
That's awesome to hear :)

Top man, loved the Adventure and to see my home town of Llandudno was a fun addition. keep up the good work, and as always ride safe.
Cheers!
You've made a realy nice to watch video man. Like the way you travel. UK is beautifull.
Awesome video. Just how did you manage to jump in cold water?? Also, you overtook police-car which is crime-like condition in the USA; thanks God that I am in the UK!
Really enjoyed the video and I hope I can do some of those roads on my varadero.
Enjoyable video. I just completed a tour from Southern Spain to Northern Spain (Asturias). The scenery is very similar. Curious though as to how you charged your camera battery.
I used a USB charger connected to the bikes battery :)
I can't wait to go touring. been on a 125 for a year and just brought a 750 for touring. just need to pass mod1 and 2 and off I go

I don't have that much faith in her haha will have to wait and see :)
fair play mate it matters not the size of the bike !! keep the rubber side down !!!
Awesome video, now I'm getting excited thinking about where to take my Varadero next. And about how much it'll cost to get a helmet cam and mic :-(
10 countries in 3 trips last year, probably won't manage to repeat that but there's still plenty of nice places in Britain I haven't ridden yet...
Nice video. Where did you camp on the second night? I´m willing to go to the UK once I get the new bike (mid adventure). Cheers
Hi Great video. I live in Cumbria, how did you find the bike with the hills etc in Cumbria and Wales?
Hey Tim, the varadero does struggle a little but climbs up most hills at around 50mph :)
