What i would say for the collition avoidance.... I know its just a demo. But there is no way in hell that you would get the machine down into the valley. You hammer in "how short the tool is" a bit too much to let this one go! ;-)
Just add a few more stages to the toolholder, and make the toolholder include roughly the first 300mm of the spindel of your machine as well.
But again, I know its a demo, and i'll be using it for the rest of my life.
It looks that the tool is tilting too much to avoid collisiob. The toolpath shown will produce a Machne head collision with the part for sure.
i was looking at that too but its easy fix by changing to a longer tool
is steep and shallow a finish strategy only?
Hi J C, you can use it for semi-finishing too, by adding some Stock to leave.
