When Tifa's theme started, I can't help but recall all those moments to the story and the tears would not stop. All those adventures, memories, emotions; joy, sadness, longing, love, and hope, all compressed into one song. It was beautiful. It is beautiful. It was like I was there again. Such calming and touching songs that describes the inner nature of the characters. I always loved how Uematsu-sama was able to interpret their characteristics and making the perfect fitting songs for them.
With everything that's going on in the world today, I listen to these songs, and I happily transport my mind back to when I was a child, playing these games for the first time, and listening to this music as I'm playing the game itself. To better, simpler days...

Your "Eyes on Me" brought me back to 2006 when I first completed the game. The strong themes of love got me through high school, and you brought those memories back! And in "Sudeki Da Ne," your composition of the interlude was so focused, I was shaken to my core how much better it was from the original! FFVIII is the most underrated FF ever. Btw this is really amazing. Such nostalgia. I went back to my past the time I spent with these games and my friends. Thank you.

The reasons stated never make any sense. • Squall was emo (so was Cloud) • Gun blades are a ridiculous weapon (have we even seen the Buster Blade?) • Focus on love story (like almost every FF, but admittedly more directly than 7 did) • Not much of a clearly defined villain to hate in the same way as Kefka and Sephiroth I think 8 is ultimately one of the best in the series though. It just suffered massively by the entry to have to go directly after 7 changed the world. It's like being an amazing pianist but having to play directly in a talent show after Bach or something. There just wasn't any reaching the same bar 7 had just hit in the eyes of the fans so they unfairly raged against 8 for not being 7-2. It's probably my favorite after 7 though. I think 6 through 9 were the series at best.

I love FF8 so much because of some of the facts you stated - like for example that there is not clearly defined villain or the love story. I think describing Squall as Emo is too much. Haven't we all or most of us experienced lovesickness? I think for many young people it is hard to have the courage to talk to someone who you don't know yet. There is so much fear of failing or being shamed when you are young. Standing in the corner not wanting to be talked to, I can understand a little how Squall must have felt. Oh and yeah, which weapon in any FF game is not "ridiculous" haha. I mean, it is a fantasy game after all, not to mention the monsters and spells... People who complain about thinks like that are whats ridiculous in my opinion. :D
This was an absolutely breathtaking rendition of some of the greatest songs to ever come out of Final Fantasy, or perhaps even video games as a whole. For 17 minutes and change, I was a kid again, sitting in front of my Playstation/PS2, playing these games again for the first time and hearing these songs with fresh ears.

eyes on me, still the greatest theme of any FF ive played.. so much emotion.. so much regret.. so much love... no other FF had this much depth, even if the game itself might not be the best in gameplay.. the story is unrivalled, till this day I still await a REMAKE... :')
A proper remake, not just a remaster like the recent one. FF8's story is the most universal and relatable; here in the Philippines it was more popular than FF7 back then, mostly because of the song and the characters. If they released a FF8 movie it would have been big in Asia. Next to FF7, FF8 deserves a remake the most.

Deeply regret it now, but since I will travel for the 35 year anniversary concert I want to make sure I get through all the stories so I can understand the story and feeling behind all the music.
FFVIII is honestly my favorite. It was the first I bought myself on launch. I had played 6(3) and 7 before, but they'd been out or were at friends' houses. 8 I got myself. I still do find it very relatable and I enjoy the world. I feel like it's a game screaming out for a remake cause more than most, some mild gameplay fixes and changes could really make the game blow up in my opinion. I enjoy it for what it is, and have replayed it since, but I think with a proper remake, not even to the level of ff7 remake but something more like trials of mana in scope (not art style, just smaller scope than the decade long insanity of the ff7 remake) it could really broaden its appeal.

Eyes On Me was the song used for the first dance at my wedding in 2010. I've listened to Ru's medley of 3 songs here probably 50 times or more already. She's an extremely skilled pianist and the cosplay takes it several levels higher.
Ah, what an enchanting stroll down memory lane. It really is a treat to be able to enjoy the flow of a medley like this. I think the only thing that was missing for me was Terra's Theme (FFVI) but that's the thing about a franchise as epic in scope as the Final Fantasy series--there's just too much good music to choose from! I definitely enjoyed every moment of this though, thank you RuRu.

I know nothing about Final Fantasy other than the character’s names and the music. I’ve listened to them my whole life thanks to my parents. My dad often listens to Suteki Da Ne even after all these years as I grew up. I don’t know his relation with Final Fantasy, but I’ve loved the game’s music ever since I was a child. yup, not even two minutes in and my eyes are watery with beautiful nostalgia. Not only were these songs absolutely composed with incredible talent, but the time in my life when I memorised them all was in my early teens. Memories both good and bad flash in front of me when I hear these songs played (and so beautifully done here btw). Thank you for the trip down memory lane that I like to go on every now and then. (subbed btw)
The way RuRu gently and affectionately played those pieces was truly sublime and touching - taking us to the realm of Final Fantasy 7, 8 and 10. She made the piano resonate crystalline, fragrant sound that moved man in his inmost being. As much as others did, I thoroughly enjoyed the performance throughout. Noticeable improvement in her playing can be perceived as well -- her playing became even more emotional and delicate compared to the previous ones~ Thanks for the wonderful experience~

I dont know what you considered underrated? But ff8 sold 25 million copies. It is up there with one of the best games to come out of the PS1.

不得不說，FF系列的這幾首神曲真的是任何時候聽都會有相當難以言喻的情感抒發～ kawai還是有他獨特的魅力的，雖然兩年過去了～但依然是如此的觸動我～ 聽著聽著整顆心都融進去了～（我是沒有玩FF的遊戲的，純粹是被音樂觸動的） 每個和弦每個音符都是那麼的剛好～

I know nothing about Final Fantasy other than the character’s names and the music. I’ve listened to them my whole life thanks to my parents. My dad often listens to Suteki Da Ne even after all these years as I grew up. I don’t know his relation with Final Fantasy, but I’ve loved the game’s music ever since I was a child.

今から20年以上昔FFⅧのCMばんばん流れてて、そのときEyes on meのサビ部分が使われてたのを覚えています。
FFで初めてのボーカル入りの曲だと知り、絶対買わなきゃと思いました。
ただ実際プレイしてみたら、ゲームとしての面白さ(ストーリー性や自由度)はⅦを超えるほどのものではなかったのが残念でした……
FFにハズレ曲はありませんが、敢えて１位を決めるならFFⅩエンディング曲「素敵だね」が私の中では神曲です。
ユウナのティーダにもう一度逢いたい思いが込められた切ない歌詞と、綺麗で繊細な歌声で自然と涙が流れました。
ゲームなのに、まるで感動ものの映画を観ているような気分に包まれました。
私のゲーム人生はPS3のFFⅩⅢで終了してしまいましたが、その中ではⅦとⅩ＆Ⅹ-2が一番鮮明な思い出として残されています。
長くなりましたが、当時の感動を思い出させてくれてありがとうございました。
とても丁寧に演奏してくれて嬉しかったです。

yup, not even two minutes in and my eyes are watery with beautiful nostalgia. Not only were these songs absolutely composed with incredible talent, but the time in my life when I memorised them all was in my early teens. Memories both good and bad flash in front of me when I hear these songs played (and so beautifully done here btw).
Thank you for the trip down memory lane that I like to go on every now and then.

The way RuRu gently and affectionately played those pieces was truly sublime and touching - taking us to the realm of Final Fantasy 7, 8 and 10. She made the piano resonate crystalline, fragrant sound that moved man in his inmost being. As much as others did, I thoroughly enjoyed the performance throughout. Noticeable improvement in her playing can be perceived as well -- her playing became even more emotional and delicate compared to the previous ones~ Thanks for the wonderful experience~
