Any USB type C Doc will be fine. Amazon has a lot to offer. Then, if it doesn’t work, you just send it back. Worse comes to worse but I doubt that will happen. It should be pretty universal.

I was surprised when logitech announced this device but im not much for streaming devices. If logitech made this a full gaming console with more memory i may have been interested. I have a logitech devices and it was interesting seeing them going into handheld market. i heard other than cloud gaming this device is pretty decent with android gaming, especially with the button mapping software update. Least with them using android it least keeps it simple and android from what i recall is easy to use and you dont have to do much editing or optimizing to play games on it. I look forward to see what other handhelds they may try in future. Also one best things about this like few other major brands your seeing pop up, you can find these at your local electronics store which is a plus.

Do you need a PC to use steam link or just an account with games will do?
You do need a pc to stream the games from. G Cloud can only stream games or play Android games natively.
Any lag when connecting a xbx controller and playing on a tv?
Surprisingly no just make sure you got a good dock that can support whatever frame rate and resolution you’re looking for

I agree with you that this a good system I brought the steam deck and it doesn't even have Google chrome or play store on it and it's harder to set up in desktop mode I broke my steam deck in half after 5 hours trying to set it up

While I do agree that this device is very underrated and could be a long term investment, I think that you oversell it and for wrong reasons. Most of things that this device can do that you've said as big bonuses can be done by most smartphones - connect to TV and to controllers (heck some TVs can do the streaming themselves), use it as a "computer" with external accessories or play android games.
Also for most people cloud gaming is borderline unusable, I mean cloud gaming in sense of a paid subscription for a powerful computer somewhere. Some people have weaker internet, some people are living in different parts of the world etc. There's a lot of reasons why this connection will be unstable, weak. And that's not the things gamers wanna experience.
But I do believe that this device is awesome! If you connect it via local wifi then lag is almost unnoticeable. And relative compactness, lightweightness and cheapness makes this device the best choice ever in certain cases. The problem of lower rating of this device lies in that the reviewers mainly focus on CLOUD gaming, which is very niche and isn't valid for general audience.
And the last thing - sadly I can't say that this device is the best in everything, and that you can buy it and don't worry about upgrades. For me OLED screen is very important. 90-120 FPS is a good thing too. It is not present here. Back buttons? none. Also the D-Pad sends a lot of false diagonals. So it is not a perfect device even just for streaming. Sad thing is that we don't have anything better.
To me the worst selling point of the device isn't that it can only do Cloud and Android gaming. It's the price. The fact that it costs as much as a Switch OLED or nearly as much as a Steam Deck when it can't do most of the things the other devices can is completely baffling to me. And I find that this is the main negative point brought up by a lot of other reviewers.
@@-shikajin-4078 yeah, as a consumer it is infuriating. But if you consider that logitech doesn't benefit at all from games you play or buy, it starts to make sense. Steam deck and Switch are cheaper because they take % from sales, and this machines are windows to buy their products. Not the case for Logitech G Cloud.
Steam deck could be very interesting alternative because it can in fact stream all the stuff Logitech G Cloud can. Switch can't at all. But in details, I think G Cloud has better screen and better ergonomics due to device low weight
@@MrKinein Okay, the selling games part is a fair point to make. But even then, I feel like the price isn't at all justified. If the GCloud was the only handheld device on the market, I could sort of understand the price. But when you have a literal portable computer with the Steam Deck at an almost identical price, the Logitech seems like a weird choice to me. But then again, people have their own needs and if they have the money to spend on this awfully specific device, more power to them.
I would have expected at least an OLED screen for that price.
@@-shikajin-4078 Yeah, and you can look up the Retroid pocket 4 or anbernic devices, which are comparable to G Cloud, but cost almost 2 times cheaper. May be because it is manufactured in china...
Yeah, OLED screen is important, sadly we can't find it anywhere on this kind of devices.
By the way, in my country it often sales for 200 dollars now
