From a successful graft to a bonsai with future (Aleppo pine ➕ Thunbergii Pine)

It looks like the graft was done six or seven years ago. I sometimes contemplate using cork bark scion to get a match for mature trees but long term the regular variety will catch up. Nice tree and nice work. Seeing earlier steps if possible would be incredible.
The stretch tape looks like a good alternate to raffia and or electrical tape.

Valiente e innovador!
Me has tocado la fibra cuando has injertado un pino nuestro mediterraneo con otra especie...casi me ha entristecido, pero luego con ese pedazo de giro, esa determinacion de terminar el halepensis injertado
con una sola rama y el buen resultado.. pues solo aplaudir. valiente! . Saludos desde Scandinavia.

Excelente trabajo! Es algo que me había planteado yo para los yamadoris de pino carrasco. Te preocupa el cotraste que puedan llegar a tener la corteza del injerto y del pie?

He intentado injertarlos en diferentes variedades de pinos japoneses con poco éxito, sin embargo he tenido mejores resultados en acosos de halependis que en variedades japonesas. Viendo tus resultados, seguiré experimentando. Un saludo y gracias por compartir.

Un placer , si es posible , si tienes halepensis con pino rojo o pino negro japonés ,suelen combinar muy bien !🙏🏻

It is elastic tape, which you can find in a haberdashery, one of the things that is different from raffia is that its application is faster..
