Thank you Fotis 🙏 for another interesting and informative video about pine grafting. Maybe it is time to create a grafting playlist. 😉 Good luck with these grafts. I can’t wait for the update video. Until then I will check your previous videos with your grafting successes (there is at least one with grafting results if I remember correctly!).
Hi my friend,i appreciated so much your grafting technique, you performed it perfectly, the success rate will be very high! Very compliments and happy Sunday!🤞🤞🤞😉
Definitely you can! I've done this on this black pine ruclips.net/video/kAUTS4mGnDA/видео.htmlsi=cq1-_itTaVY6IPD9 In the end of the video you will see a progress montage since 2015. In the first image in 2015, there are no lower branches. The lower branch on the left was grafted like that and the branch above it (back and to the right), was approach grafted. Good luck!
8th of September. These are part of my summer grafting. All the grafts go into a humidity chamber, where humidity stays 95% and higher (usually) and artificial lights on for 14 to 15 hours a day. Temperatures are around 20C (68 - 74F). Success rate in summer grafting is quite good, higher than 80%. Cheers!
@borkobonsai for summer grafts is 4 to 6 weeks max. Then they need to come out and acclimate to winter temperatures before they get too low, like freezing or lower. They are faster than winter grafts. With summer grafts you'll know within 2 weeks if it is succesfull or not. They tend to lose color relatively fast. But success rate is high. Cheers!
Excellent question Joey! In winter grafting, when the rootstock just woke up and the scion is dormant, it would take somewhere from 3 to 6 weeks weeks. In late summer grafting, where both are still somewhat active it takes less, 2 to 3 weeks. But still, I wouldn't take them out of the humidity chamber before 8 to 10 weeks. You risk reducing your success rate by introducing the successful grafts to extreme conditions that they can't handle yet. I choose a series of humid and cool days to slowly introduce them to outside conditions. Generally, all of these numbers vary slightly from place to place, depending on latitude, altitude and microclimates and you definitely will be required to experiment for a few years to get the highest success rate. Cheers!

Which time you make these graftings? Are you covered with plastic bag or tape the grafted needles?

Thanks, how long they stay in this humidity chamber?

Thank you @@borkobonsai for asking all the right questions and to @ArkefthosBonsai for all the good answers 🙏
How long does it normally take for the graft to "take"?
