  • My pregnancy with Riley went from being very normal to very complex in the short space of one afternoon. At my 30 week scan the sonographers had to give my husband and I the bad news, that there was something wrong with the baby.

I'm sorry this was so scary for you. ❤ I lost our 2nd child at 19 weeks. She had spina bifida with severe hydrocephalus. Erin would have been 33 yo this year, and it still breaks my heart. But we will see her when we get to heaven. ❤ Take care. Thank you for sharing, and I will follow your story.

I had our daughter 9 weeks early. She was in hospital 5 weeks. We both almost died but luckily I was quite medicated for that. All her issues were developmental. She has autism but is pretty high functioning. She can’t drive, has trouble meeting people etc. she just turned 30 and she will live with us as long as we live. I really wish she could meet someone and have some friends. I thank God for her. We were never supposed kids cause of problems I had. Luckily we were blessed. Blessings to you and your family. Struggles make you stronger and God will be looking out for you all.

I was very fortunate, my daughter was 2 lbs at birth, she only spent 6 weeks in the hospital. She didn't have any problems. She just had her 53rd birthday. She was diagnosed with stage 3 - 4 cervical cancer, but she has been a fighter all of her life, so we're not giving up.

She was born in Germany and my two other daughters were born by c-section in the USA. God has a reason for everything and your baby is not a mistake or anything. You are blessed that is for sure.

Good decision to have a Caesarean - sometimes people act like you did something wrong by making that decision but you did it for SAFETY, not because you wanted to pick his birthday, or have your hair and make-up all perfect. (True story: A young woman I know put on her Facebook page a photo of herself right before going in for her Caesarean, and said "One great thing about a C-section, you can have your make-up just perfect.") Anyway, I applaud you and your husband - what stressful things to go through during an already anxious time ! I can't wait to watch your next video and see how things went .

Yeah we have been there with our kids. One of our kids was born 8.5 weeks early because of pre-eclampsia and when our child was born the umbilical cord was wrapped around their neck. Our child has autism now. Then our other child had a scan around 35 weeks and they found something wrong with them. We had to have a planned c-section up at a bigger hospital 4.5 hours away from where we live. Both of our kids were in the NICU. Our second child was born with a rare birth defect 1/20-25k birth chance. It has been a ride. Hope everything is going good for you.

I had two caesareans because my first baby (vaginal birth) was a stillbirth. All 3 babies were born normal; no physical deformities, or challenges, even the first stillborn. Not all caesareans are because of birth defects...my birth canal is very small, and I had over 8 pound babies in all 3 pregnancies.

Same for me, Emy. Daughter #1 was not interested in coming out. After a long labor the doctor grabbed her foot (butt was down) and gave it a tug. Nope. She didn't move. C-Birth. Second daughter, same thing. Do people, especially women, who call non C-birth, natural, an unnatural birth? Women can be so judgmental in a really hurtful way, as if we women fail someway. God bless your little one.

It's distracting that 3 people discussed your baby in front of you and that they couldn't immediately get a doctor. Usually one person that sees an abnormality, and they go get a doctor immediately. And the stranger still that they didn't see the organs outside the body on the FIRST ultrasound. I'm really upset that they didn't see anything at all wrong until 31 weeks! I'm shocked. Cometely shocked. Why didn't the doctor see this early? I'm a nurse in obstetrics and unless someone has no prenatal care. We literally know this information by 20 weeks at the latest. It's crazy. I'm so sorry if something is really wrong. Love and light.

It is used as a ''self comfort'' thing..''don't worry, God sent him/her to you''.. Have heard this said to other parents : ''God sent ..&c&c.......In reality, it is cold hard science, genetics, probability and statistics.
When children are born to violent/cruel parents, did ''God'' send those children to be treated abysmally or worse?
      Of course not.
      Science nowadays gives answers.
God does not cause these things...it is genes.
God does not cause babies too be born fit and healthy, either. That too is luck, combinations of genes and not drinking/smoking.

It is strange to me that some tests were contradicting what they were saying. How could the MRI say things were ok and they still said he had organs outside the body? Your pictures looked so happy with each week's progress. I don't think I could have handled it as calmly as you seem to have. I can't wait to find the next video to find out what happened next.

That is someone's baby and you are complaining about it. I hope you never have to deal with problems in a pregnancy or have a disable child. You dont sound like you'd make a good parent - no empathy.

think it is stupid doing testing far into pregnancy and informing parents of concerns, baby is on its way no turning back, disappointing medics are not enabling parents to have a chance to express the excitement of bringing a new child into the world

You ought to consider that fact of being in the range of Wi - Fi from your media system and phones at home .... micro wave is really not good for any pregnancy and other personal general health issues !
