This was super helpful! Thank you! I'm surprised there aren't more comments. I just got into cw and needed to learn more abbreviations and this video had many I haven't seen in other videos, so thank you again!
EeK! I had to learn a whole now language for texting on the phone, now I have to learn another! Never mind, dark nights and cold days will soon be here and some time to do all this!
Thanks for this. I've seen de followed by the call sign when using APRS. Other abbreviations I've seen before the call sign are OP, OM, OG. David Casler always sends greetings to all the OG's worldwide. I don't know what they mean. Is there a list of abbreviations that hams use somewhere? Thanks.
Hi Keith, I am a radio junkie too! Tnx for ur video, it was pretty useful for me, I am trying to fully implement the cw I learned more the 20ys ago and i never used on air...till yesterday that I worked K station during a contest. I am thrilled!! Now it's time for reals cw qso!
So, text like abbreviations are sent with standard spacing between characters and some (?prosigns) are run together without a space to appear as a single character?
