I am amazed how easy that thing started up after sitting what 3-4 years you were saying??? Ya, I would definately be getting that thing looked at and put back into A-1 condition! It is an amazing piece of old machinery, built to last and you never know when you may need it for a source of electricty in an emergency!
Oh Ruston & Hornsby, Built to last mate. They are really good engines! That bowl (that you don`t know what it is) at 2.36 thats a bowl for the diesel return from the injectors! Thumbs up.
Hi, I don't think that enginelover1 is correct about the little bowl - that is the drip cup for leakage from the fuel injection pump cam box. The injector leak off should be commoned up to the spill line from the automatic air vent on the fuel filter and returned to the fuel tank. Also, this isn't a Ruston engine built at Lincoln

That's the cool thing about a good diesel engine it can sit for years and start, cant say that about a gasoline engine for the most part..

I suspect that it's either an Indian or Australian built unit. The rocker box covers are not YDA mk 2 being built at that time.

How to correct output will come?
In three phase,,,400vca,,,the curreent is approx 1,5 amp/kva. 50 kva_75 amps total
Only 42 amps at 415 volts and 24KW I HIGHLY DOUBT IT maybe 142 amps

Running maybe 800rpm, need to put a hz gauge on it to adjust it up to it's 1,500rpm and 50hz
