- It's another favourites video! This time we're chatting about the best middle grade books I read in 2023! This is a fun mix of novels and graphic novels, suitable for a variety of ages between 5-13. We've got some fantasy, hard hitting contemporary, mystery, and some rompy comedy, too!

My favorite middle grade of last year was Eva Evergreen Semi-Magical Witch Duology.

Totally agree on Ghost Book, Huda Was Here, all of K. O'Neill's books, the Miss Mary-Kate books (oh, the tongue twister titles! 😂) and Lily Half-Moon! Such great books.
I've definitely added a few more recs to my future tbr. 😍 I think my other favourite middle grade books that I read last year were No Words by Maryam Master and Sea Glass by Rebecca Fraser.
Oooh I love both No Words (which I read 2022 and reread 2023!) and Sea Glass! I was one of the judges that selected both for the Readings Children’s Prize shortlist last year! You have great taste! 😉❤️
