Nice! Yeah, I think this is a great truck. I just finished driving the 2018 Ford F-150 XLT and I think the Frontier is a better. Plus, the Frontier is waaaay cheaper.
I am the original owner of a 2WD 2011 Nissan Frontier in the exact same SV trim and color as this reviewer's Frontier. It has 96K miles on it, original brakes, the factory BF Goodrich tires lasted 70,000 miles . All of your reviewers and commentors can torch the Frontier all day long, this truck just works and it handles a LOT better than one would expect. The front suspension is a double wishbone setup, rack and pinion steering gear, good feedback for a truck. Brakes have been great. The engine is a workhorse, NOT as grainy and coarse as some reviewers have said. This engine pulls like a hot rod from a stop and is composed when towing. The resale value is excellent. This reviewer also fails to mention that there were numerous options available on the Frontier that he didn't mention. There is a popular crew cab utility option which upgrades the bed to include a spray on bedliner, a removable bed extender, cargo tie down cleats that slide on rails, nerf step bars. So all of you can trash it all you want. This has been one of the best vehicles I have ever owned and I still do not mind driving it one bit.

Great review. We are on our third SV and LOVE THEM!!! As a farmer, we beat the crap out of these things and they continue to run like a sewing machine. NEVER a problem, reliable as the day is long and like others have said, reasonable price. We purchase trucks to be used, I could care less about wifi hot spots, infotainment systems and wireless ignition. I like simple, and easy to use, this truck is just that. if folks think spending $40k on a mid sized pickup is a great deal, more power to 'em. Are these super quiet and ride the best? NO, not so much.. We grow and sell Irises and live in a rural area. Folks aren't too terribly impressed by brand x, I can handle a little less luxury by saving $20 grand
I own a '12 super cab SV. It's a truck. Basic stuff and well built. I commute, haul stuff and tow a travel trailer . It is simple to work on and maintain with few doodads to cause trouble. Parts are cheap and available everywhere. Engine is slightly thirsty but powerful and quiet. I've outrun F150's in it. The four wheel drive took me through mud that trapped trucks from the big 3. Love it.
last year i bought 2016 frontier V6. w/ 45,000 miles. it now has close to 60,000 miles. 10 times the truck my dakota is. i was al ways proud about my OLDER chrysler trans. but way the the frontier shift's is very good. i get 17.- 18 in town. but have to really light peddle it to get that. 19-20 on the road. it has NOT give me any surprises. after my last post i think i would add a washer fluid light indicator.
I had a 2012 SV that I loved. Put almost 105,000 miles on it. Bought a 2018 SV a week ago. It's even the same color. These trucks are hard to beat. Price, reliability, you name it. It shines. While everything is plastic inside, it's pretty rugged. I never had any issues for anything inside. I've had a couple of Kia SUV's and while they never broke down, little things broke on the inside. On my 2012, I replaced the battery just a few months ago and I never, that's right, never, replaced the brakes. 100k miles+ and no squeaks, no grinding, no problems. Never had a lick of trouble with that truck. That's why I had no problem getting the same truck again.
I used to work at a rental place years ago and these were one of my favorite vehicles to drive. Rugged looking and very responsive. A no BS truck. Might be dated but super reliable and simple. Price point is good too. Only complaint is the back seats are not comfortable.
Bought 2018 Frontier SV V6 4x2 automatic with value truck package & moonroof with 9400 miles for only $21995 & its (like new) condition. Getting 20-21 mpg combined. Really like it & trust it will give many miles & years of trouble free service. Thanks for ALL the gooooood reviews!! Woody
I have the 4x4 LE Frontier with 75k miles, it’s a 2007 and still drives like new! Only replacement was tire sensors, I really like the power and simplicity of this truck, it simply works well!
One thing I love about this truck is that it's upgradeable on many items. Fog lights are prewired for simple bolt in installation. Switch is super easy to replace the factory blinker/headlight switch to include the fog lights. Mud flaps are predrilled/threaded if your model didn't come with these. Running boards are predrilled/threaded for bolt on installation. You can also easily install locking mechanism for the tailgate to lock/unlock tailgate using the fob. I've done all these upgrades to mine at minimal cost. Also love the towing capacity. I pull a 21'-6 boat that weighs 5000lbs with no issues. My friends just cannot believe it when I hook up my boat that is bigger than the truck. Overall, I am a huge fan of this truck. 2019 SV crew cab with 4.0 L V-6. Only difference between mine and the 2018 is touch screen infotainment.
While showing its age, the Frontier is a great "Value Truck" for those looking for an inexpensive, brand-new, reliable small pickup truck. The base truck gives you Bluetooth Audio, A/C, a rear backup camera, and a few other nice extras for under $20k. The PRO-4X model is the model to get, with nav, premium audio, SiriusXM Satellite Radio and Travel Link, and off-road suspension all being standard equipment. :)
Just made purchase of 2018 Frontier SV V6 Crew Cab 2WD with 17980 miles for only $19900. Great price & I really like the truck. Thanks for a GREAT review!! Woody
woody bradley woody bradley I too just purchased a 2018 Frontier SV V6 Crew Cab with 7,289 miles for $22800. Thus far, I’m enjoying it. My 2003 Frontier LE was totaled because someone ran a red light. Hope I have this one for a long time!!!! I brought this truck last week for my birthday.
100 Rental Cars woody bradley woody bradley I too just purchased a 2018 Frontier SV V6 Crew Cab with 7,289 miles for $22800 drive-out. Thus far, I’m enjoying it. My 2003 Frontier LE was totaled because someone ran a red light. Hope I have this one for a long time!!!! Hubby got this truck last week for me for my birthday.
I just bought a 2018 Frontier SV Crew Cab 4x4 used with 25000 miles. I got it for $20000 with a spray in bedliner and I am very happy with it. The 4.0 V-6 is very peppy and with the Crew Cab I have a 6 ft bed. It seems to be a solid, reliable truck that can tow 6500 pounds!
James Williamson I just purchased mine on June 29, 2019. I have a thing for odd numbers. So I purchased the 2018 after looking at the 2020’s and not caring for the overall design. The inside and features of the 2020 are basically the same except for a few new things but not enough to buy and not care for the new design. Strangely, I felt my 2003 was more comfortable, but it was totaled because someone decided to run a red light. Maybe I’ll adjust, but I’m truly enjoying the 2018 Frontier.
I just got a 2015 with 17k. The factory value Pak adds fog lamps, rear camera, spray on bed liner, alarm, bed extender, rails inside bed with cleats. Couple other things I can't recall. Very worth 1800$ from factory. 2015 the last year of the color they call super black. It is. The newer all have metallic paint. Those look dusty. Runs great. I don't mind the slightly dated stuff. I carpeted all the plastic storage bins and glove boxes so stuff inside don't rattle. Keep it simple.
I agree. Keep it simple so there's less stuff to break/maintain. I mean, I understand if you want a super fancy truck with the latest touch screen and heated seats, that stuff is fun too, but if I'm buying a truck, I want something more rustic. Like this! Anyway, thanks for the great comment. Glad your 2015 is working out. And kudos on buying it slightly used, I bet you saved a TON of money.
I lease one of these for my dad, he seems to really like it. If you get the value package you get some nicer options (rear sonar, heated seats, automatic climate controls, etc) for pretty cheap.
I bought a 2018 Frontier SV crew cab about 6 months ago. I had a 2000 Frontier so right there it tells you they are made to last. I tell anyone looking for a pick up truck if you're looking for all the fancy bells and whistles on your pickup truck you need to look elsewhere. The Frontier is a basic well built truck and you're not going to impress anyone with it's style. The best thing is the 4.0 liter V6 that puts out 261horsepower. You can roll down the highway and have plenty of power to spare!
The larger wheels and lift of the pro 4X make it look so much better than the SV. But I see a lot of owners lifting their sv and putting all terrain tires which really changes the look.
If you are off-roading in the backcountry and you need to turn around, good luck! This truck has the widest turn radius of any vehicle (not including 18-wheelers).
It is pretty bad, but I'd say the RAM 1500 I had last week was even worse. I was doing 4 or 5 point turns to get out of some tight parking spaces. Not cool! I posted a review a few days ago if you're interested.
lol that is true. In day to day driving it hasn't been a problem, just gotta keep on the right side and swing wide for a U turn! The first couple of times it was comical.
I love my 2018 frontier its great for work for the price . Trucks are overpriced these days but nissan keeps it affordable. I do sparky work so the truck has been a great tool so far.
You can the Pro 4X, which is the top of the line of the Frontier, for $29k. I was just at the dealer two days ago. It also comes with a rear locker. I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on it. The beauty of this truck isn't the gas mileage or gadgets. It's the simplicity of it. You can't find that anymore.
Just bought a 2018 Frontier SV crew cab 4X4, LB.27k. Good deal. Everything you need, nothing you don't wanna pay extra for. Other trucks get upwards of 40k quick. The frontier is a no nonsense good value.
i see plenty on the road very few of them are fleets. I did plenty of homework before I bought it and it has a very good track record with the 4.0 and 5 spd auto and reliability is what I need. I am not to interested in looking dated or not. bluetooth power windows cruise control v6 tow hitch under 50k under $20 k out the door, check check check check check check. I also talked to several owners and they all had good things to say, that kinda sealed the fact I was buying 1. Have a good night
I just bought one today. Its the 2020 model year, and I like it so far. Good gas mileage, fun, affordable and has some serious towing capabilities. Mine didn't come with a tow hitch tho, ill have to get one myself.
Great review. I have a 2006 Nissan Frontier of this same style and color and it is amazing how closely this new one is to my old one on the outside as well as the inside. In fact, I'd say the back seat is identical. The front seat area is very similar with the major difference being, my truck has a 6-speed manual transmission with no electric windows, door locks or control screen. My truck has just under 220,000 miles with the original clutch and transmission so for me, it has been a great pickup. Thanks for the review.
I like it. Nice simple and affordable. Nothing crazy. Just a truck. I wouldn't tow with it but it would work for everything else you would need a truck for.
Nissan is the only mid size truck that can be had without all the do dads that I don't want to pay for. Hope they continue making an affordable mid size truck for the public
I like nissan because they are reliable, affordable, and will last a long time. I had a new 2015 gmc sierra ,slt ,crew cab, that I paid $52k. It has been the worst truck ever. Kept breaking down every 6 months. I'm done with big American trucks. I have friends who have fords and rams. Same thing....they keep giving them problems. So I'm buying nissan from now on.
Excellent review! Very honest and to the point. Some people think this truck needs an update but I love the way it looks. A truck should look and feel like a truck. It is meant to look rugged and ready to work. It should not look or feel like a spaceship/car crossbreed in my opinion. Great job on the review I'm going to watch your other reviews for the hell of it since they are very good.
Thanks for the kind words! And I agree, a truck should feel like a truck. I mean, there's nothing wrong with the new F-150s and Silverados, but they are getting a little too luxurious for my taste. Thanks again and let me know what you think of my other videos. Honest criticism helps!
There's a lot of fact checking to be done. Your fuel economy figures are for the 4cyl. Center fold down arm rest DO exist, but in the upper trim. Also it's good to state the design has been around since 2005 hence the outdated look, but virtually all of the bugs have been worked out.
people complain about the lack of "features" this truck has, but really, it has everything i want AND need. i dont want all that extra fancy stuff. i want room, comfort, aux cord, ac, cargo, smooth ride. everything else it just too much. i drive a 2015 versa hatchback and i love its simplicity and everything about it, i just hate the bumpy ride and lack of suspension.
Let’s face it. Pickups are for the rich now. Not the working class which is what they are meant for. Yeah gas mileage isn’t the best but it’s a reliable truck. I don’t know about y’all but if you use a truck for a truck, the least of your worries would be a infotainment system.
Yes, the interior is outdated. But the exterior is still very stylish and flows well with the current competition. I've always loved this style of truck and I'm currently in an F150, lol. I'll say this simplicity is the way to go. :)
In all fairness, I have the loaded 2005 model and it has many more options than this does, I think you would find that the top of the line 2018 model would seem much more current
The only thing from your review that I saw you missed was that the back seats do fold if you need them to. Also, you can get an extended version of the bed. Other than that, great video
I just bought a 2018 Nissan Frontier, trading in my 2000 Frontier after 18 years. You know what folks, the truck is outdated as F**k! Honestly I was shocked how little these trucks have changed in 18 years. The interior design is outdated as I am and the body parts could be interchanged with a model year several years older I'm sure. But if you can overlook those things and go for the quality of the truck, you're not going to be disappointed. I love the 4.0 Litre V6, I can tell you the truck can really get up and go when I need it too. When you have a truck that held up for 18 years it's not easy to look at other trucks, no matter the updates you will find on them. I was told Nissan is going to update the Frontier in 2019 but honestly I was happy with the way the 2018 looked even if it is outdated.
I bought a 2018 4 dr crew cab, just 3 weeks ago, Only complaint I Have is the turning radius, Truck doesn't turn very sharply at all, How ever mine had the long bed, and driving lights, as well as dual climate control, came with a spray in bed liner, Mine seems to be a bit more options, like I had factory fog lamps in the front, etc... Nissan has a very nice and forgiving warranty, mine has a 100k/10yr warranty, With the first 30k UNCONDITIONAL, What ever breaks or fails they will replace, Period. See if you can get that from the other " Big 3 ". The ride is like you just said, Very quiet, comfortable, you actually think you are driving a fullsize luxury sedan, I mean this thing rides smooth and is extremely quiet. Mine has decent enough power I suppose. Gas mileage kind of sucks, I get approx., maybe 19 per gallon at best. But it is a 5,500 pound truck. Any way, thank you for your review, I really enjoy my new Nissan Frontier. My price, was $38k..( yah well my trade in had allot of "negative equity". So yah, I'll be keeping this for a very long time.
The frontier is in serious need of an update inside and out especially inside. Its like Nissan gave up on it but it still sells well enough so they haven't discontinued it yet.
I don't understand this need to modernize things all the time. If it works don't change it, adding touch screens and electric this and that just increases the cost and decreases longevity and reliability. It's a truck not a show piece! I think manufacturers forget that people need real trucks not gussied up soccer mom vehicles. Buy a Lexus or a F150 if you want pretty and expensive. Leave some real trucks for those of us who need reliable practical transport. I'll get off my soapbox now
Thanks for the review and opinion on the vehicle. I lost my previous car in an accident, and have been waiting nearly 6 months to purchase another. The one you reviewed is nearly exactly what i am getting, with the exception mine is a 4x4. And yes, it may be a budget type vehicle without all the bells and whistles, but I really could care less. My previous vehicle was a Honda CRV LX small engine, and I loved it until that darn woman forgot to stop at the stop light. I thank you for showing the trailer hitch area. Looks like I will have to modify the plug system from the flat type to the round type of the Frontier. And it looks like I will have to get a modified 2 inch ball setup that extends down low enough to hook up my trailers.
i have a 2016 sv crew cab model. it has backup camera, heated seats, bed extender (railing system), and a few other things. for the price the truck is great.. my only issue with the truck personally is the back seats sit up right at a 90 degree angle, and would not be comfortable for long rides to me.
Nice! Sounds like you have a great truck. And I agree about the backseats, they are super uncomfortable. Thankfully you don't often have backseat passengers in a pickup.
I'm getting one of these or the Ridgeline for my next truck. The Ridgeline would be my first choice. However, the price for Ridgeline, even for higher mileage used trucks, is very high. The Frontier is much more affordable. So, it might be better bargain for my needs. We'll see how that goes in a couple of years.
Great vid, very informative !! All the best Shaun of NYC P.S Though I am a New Yorker, I would have loved to have heard some Loretta Lynn, while this "Vid" was going. Again great Vid. S of NYC
This truck is nice, but outdated. Nearly EVERYTHING is taken off the discontinued Xterra from a few years back. Great review as always 👍 Also, just a thought, but maybe go back to the 5 star rating to go along with the recommendation
Rented one myself. I had a touchscreen but also outdated menu, deal breaker for me was no automatic headlights. Did drive nice, but definitely road like a truck.
Unless something changed, you can still get the full 6 foot bed with a crew cab. I really like mine, it's simple, it's a truck! Haven't had a problem with the plastic bed yet, hasn't been bothered by throwing whatever the hell I want at it. I'm sure it will get busted up in time, and really don't care.
Really? This model was released in Australia 2004-2014 man, you guys should check out the new model, type “Nissan Navara D23 and you’ll see the next model up from this one
I got a 2011 Nissan xterra. Great and reliable . There basically the same thing other than the frontier has the bed on it. Same drive train and the inside since I got mine not mutch has changed at all.
I'm sad to say I've never got a chance to drive the Xterra. I think Nissan has stopped making it, right? Anyway, if it's anything like the Frontier I'm sure I'd love it. And I hope Nissan keeps making the Frontier. I read recently that their sales are WAAAAAY down, so I think we're likely to see some big changes from them soon.
@@100RentalCars yes, Nissan stopped making the xterra. Frontier and xterra has the same drive train. The body style and interior haven't changed mutch at all. For some years now. I think it's time for Nissan to make changes. Or the frontier may just go away like the xterra.
A great truck, if I were Nissan the only thing I would improve is the wide steering radius, add electronic power steering, and give the thing a 6th gear for better MPG. Otherwise keep the price low and the buyers happy. Nice job.
I know people like that it's the most affordable, but it's just a few grand short from an entry level brand new 3rd gen Tacoma, which comes with a touch screen infotainment system along with some extra stuff. Just my 2 cents.
I watched this review to see if the rear seats folded up and what kind of storage was available if the rear seats were folded. I am still wondering. Otherwise, a very good review.
Cool detailed review, thanks, liked it. Can you shoot more pickups and SUVs reviews& Especially I'm interested in 2WD / 4WD differences and modes of the trucks available on the market. This Frontier SV is 2WD, right?
Great Job looking at a DESERT RUNNER Edition I need to have the adjuster for the bucket seats as they are set to high to me..I’m 6’4”...Don’t need the 4WD but I like the PRO 4X design.
Seriously, I find it hard to Believe this is the 2018 model. I feel like Nissan should refresh the interior. If I looked just at the interior without knowing any info about the car, I would probably think it’s from 2012 or 2011.
Amen. It's not selling very well in the US too. I checked the numbers and they sold about 70,000 in 2017 (US sales only). That's compared to 800,000 Ford F-150s. Still....I kinda like the Frontier.
Ford F 150 is a full size. Frontier is a midsize. The Frontier is affordable & gets the job done. It's simple & reliable. A refresh means higher prices & more high tech means higher repair costs. Leave the Frontier as it is. Keep it affordable & reliable. Sometimes less is more.
victor max Quintana I hope to get one before it is replaced with a newer high tech version. I don't care for how expensive new vehicles are becoming with bells & whistles that make it too costly to repair & endless recalls because they are too complicated.
this is also a base model. its missing a lot of add ons. but i would say radio is outdated, and i hate the back seat area. very simple. i have a 2016 model full package, just don't have the sun roof, and its got way more then what this base model offers. this model doesn't even have the basic fog lights, but yet has the towing package lol. don't get that.
I bought my Frontier because it wasn't an overpriced Toyota the pocket below the ac is cell phone sized perfect fit it was the ash tray spot once upon a time
Hey Nathan. I've only had one hybrid in the 90+ cars I've reviewed. Unfortunately, there's just not very many available from the major rental car companies. I will try to get another one soon, but if you're interested, here's my review of the Ford Fusion Hybrid: ruclips.net/video/i6pP3yVXLNo/видео.html
I bought a 2017 a year ago, outdated yes, reliable yes, bargain priced yes. Thanks
A K I own a 2018 midnight edition. I do not regret it. Its reliable and looks nice. It has some power to it as well, the price was not bad at all either which included 4x4 and tow hitch.
Nice! Yeah, I think this is a great truck. I just finished driving the 2018 Ford F-150 XLT and I think the Frontier is a better. Plus, the Frontier is waaaay cheaper.
They are great trucks. It’s just the ‘05-10 4 liter. I don’t think that there is any trouble with the other engines as far as I know
AGREED!!! Simple and cheap = BULLETPROOF
@@WhatsAfterThisPlace Does it let you switch between 4x4 and 2x4 to help save gas?
"Steering wheel is a nice, circular shape." That's a relief. I really hate the square steering wheels.
I actually like the oblong style.
Yeah I was like what kind of steering wheel do you use? Lol
And the triangle ones are trash too.
The fn triangular ones piss me off!

yellowbusguy do they have a manual in the frontier
I think the manual is available on the base four cylinder, but don't quote me on that. I'm thinking all the V6 models are automatics in the U.S.
yellowbusguy ok thanks for the info
@@ryansvloggingit5492 Nissan does make a crew cab V6 with a manual. As well as the 4 cylinder truck.
The last true pickup left. That’s why it seems dated.

Woody
Under 20k!?! Well done. I love the Frontier, I bet you'll have this truck, and love it, for years and years.
Trust I Will. Thanks again Woody
Combined mileage is 20mpg for this truck.
woody bradley woody bradley I too just purchased a 2018 Frontier SV V6 Crew Cab with 7,289 miles for $22800.
Just bought a 2018 Nissan frontier sv -I LOVE IT
James Williamson I just purchased mine on June 29, 2019.
I got a certified nissan 2017 frontier. so far so good.
This is weirdly relaxing to watch
Success! When I first started uploading videos, I did try to be exciting and loud. But that's not me. Glad you enjoyed the video.
I got an 07 basic model 10 years ago. Great truck. Love it.
Absolutely right, but nothing you can’t get used to. I switch between VW GTi and difference is quite dramatic.
lol that is true. In day to day driving it hasn't been a problem, just gotta keep on the right side and swing wide for a U turn! The first couple of times it was comical.
Huh. Wife and I are getting one of these very soon. But we are lucky because we have a YJ Jeep Wrangler when we go off into the pineapple fields. :)
Thankfully if you have a Pro x you don't have to turn around much..lol
You did a great review. No nonsense, and I understand where you're coming from. Please keep doing them.
Will do! Thanks for the support!
The "outdated" stuff, in my opinion, makes it look real good. Better than the new high tech ones nowadays
I totally agree.
The perfect review well done.
I like the looks of the Nissan pickup truck.
Me too.
This is my truck. I love everything about it.
Good call!
Great review! For the money great truck! Frontier are great!
I like the old school👍
👊
people complain about the lack of "features" this truck has, but really, it has everything i want AND need. i dont want all that extra fancy stuff. i want room, comfort, aux cord, ac, cargo, smooth ride. everything else it just too much. i drive a 2015 versa hatchback and i love its simplicity and everything about it, i just hate the bumpy ride and lack of suspension.
Let’s face it. Pickups are for the rich now. Not the working class which is what they are meant for. Yeah gas mileage isn’t the best but it’s a reliable truck. I don’t know about y’all but if you use a truck for a truck, the least of your worries would be a infotainment system.
My 2016 Frontier SUV 4x4 crew can long bed was a great deal at 29,000. Great truck so far.
Love to have one , yes i would rather have a Cummins truck but this N.F will do the job and sounds very reliable .
Great review. I would love to see a review of the manual transmission Frontier.
The frontier is in serious need of an update inside and out especially inside. Its like Nissan gave up on it but it still sells well enough so they haven't discontinued it yet.
Amen!
The Adventures of Andre and Nathanial They are not outdated at all. Dodge and Toyota’s are super outdated.
Trenton Hull frontier Xterra and Pathfinder were all the same platform.
They just stopped making xterras and Pathfinders have a different body now.
I bought one. It's electronic gadgetry is very very low. Less things to go bad. It's a good thing.
Helpful review. Thank you.
You're welcome! That's for the kind words. 👍
Rented one myself. I had a touchscreen but also outdated menu, deal breaker for me was no automatic headlights. Did drive nice, but definitely road like a truck.
Yeah, I agree. I do like that the frontier doesn't have a ton of features, but it doesn't need to have essentials like auto headlights.
You CAN get a 6'ft.bed for the Frontier Super-Crew cab.
Nice!
Great review on a great reliable truck.
Thanks!
Cell phone storage is very important for this reviewer.
I do mention it frequently, don't I? It's not intentional. I'll try and tone it down a bit.
100 Rental Cars it’s all good. I just thought it was funny. Good job on the review! That’s a great little truck. I had a 2014.
I noticed the Asus Zenfone.. I sense the tech side in you as well as the automotive side...
i have 2015 looks the same and i love it great truck
Agreed!
Just bought 2012 Nissan crew cab, only complaints is gas mileage could be a little better
Congratulations!
Here how he ended it? Yes I would recommend it. It is an efficient truck what more do you want? buy it now, I did
I like it this truck.
Me too.
Hey great review there👍🏻
Thanks Jeremy!
I’m looking in too one myself
👍👍👍
A great truck, if I were Nissan the only thing I would improve is the wide steering radius, add electronic power steering, and give the thing a 6th gear for better MPG. Otherwise keep the price low and the buyers happy. Nice job.
Mp
I like the small bed . Big back seat .I would put a 2 to 4 inch lift on it .
The rear seats fold down flat and fold up
For real? Man, I'm sorry I missed that. Is there more storage behind the seats?
You also missed the fact that the passenger seatback folds down flat (forward) to make a side table for the driver to work out of the cab.
100 Rental Cars , the rear seats fold down, there is some thin and wide storage back there, that is where the Jack and a tool kit are stored.
There is a longer bed version with the crew cab.
Great truck, but it's time for a refresh after 13 years lol
I know, right!
There's is a newer frontier but it's not available in the US
@@TheVictor2608, I noticed when I Googled it. Why is that
Nah leave it as is
I know people like that it's the most affordable, but it's just a few grand short from an entry level brand new 3rd gen Tacoma, which comes with a touch screen infotainment system along with some extra stuff. Just my 2 cents.
If you can believe Consumers Report, the Tacoma has had a lot of reliability issues.
this is the truck that i want..less gadgets
I just picked one up. Other than throwing an aux to radio transmitter in there, it's comfortable and simple, the way small trucks should be
I watched this review to see if the rear seats folded up and what kind of storage was available if the rear seats were folded. I am still wondering. Otherwise, a very good review.
A great work ride for an industrial sparky.
Cool detailed review, thanks, liked it. Can you shoot more pickups and SUVs reviews& Especially I'm interested in 2WD / 4WD differences and modes of the trucks available on the market. This Frontier SV is 2WD, right?
The Nissan Frontier is a traditional old-fashioned truck and there's nothing wrong with that.
I like My 2018 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab Sv V6 4X4 my Nissan look Like The One You Rental
Yeah, that's the cheap model. I have the LE that's fully loaded but not 4x4. Try the LE out if it's available next time you'll love it!
Great Job looking at a DESERT RUNNER Edition I need to have the adjuster for the bucket seats as they are set to high to me..I’m 6’4”...Don’t need the 4WD but I like the PRO 4X design.
Thanks for the kind words!
There's a newer model frontier but it's not available in the US
victor max Quintana I hope to get one before it is replaced with a newer high tech version.
The interior reminds me of a vehicle from the early 2000s
Agreed.
Great truck
You actually get a oil pressure gauge so rear in 2018
A/C blows to the rear under the seats
I bought my Frontier because it wasn't an overpriced Toyota the pocket below the ac is cell phone sized perfect fit it was the ash tray spot once upon a time
This thing has a CD player Coooolll!!!
Key fob is a remote transmitter
Do a review on a hybrid sedan, I'd like to see what tech is involved with getting 45 mpg...
