Making a Budget DIY Roof Basket for Under €100

Making a custom DIY roof basket for my K11 Nissan Micra from a CAD design.
It all started with the thought, "Wow, these big overlanding trucks with big roof baskets on top of them look really cool. What if I..."
It didn't take long for that thought to turn into a CAD design, and not too long later, I got to work. And this right here is the result.

I have the CAD design if you'd like to see the plan for it. I will say making it out of steel ended up a bit heavy and the roof box itself is a little big. I'll try get you a link to download the file.👍

Do you have any tips in hindsight for someone embarking on this project? I’m a noob but want to fit a tent to the top of my car.

Top tip would definitely be get proper Roof bars, a lot of the work I did was fairly stupid looking back on it. And if you dont have a welder or certain tools, it might actually be better buying a cheap pre made on, in my opinion.
