CLIP DESCRIPTION:
After a mother takes advantage of Charlie (Jim Carrey), the evil Hank appears.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Six years after Dumb and Dumber, Jim Carrey reunited with Peter Farrelly and Bobby Farrelly for this anarchic comedy with a hint of romance. Charlie (Carrey) is a good-natured Rhode Island state trooper who likes helping people. But years of internalizing his frustrations about his work and his family have caused Charlie to develop an alter ego: Hank, an abusive, violent, sexually compulsive police officer. Charlie can keep Hank at bay with medication, but just barely. When Irene (Renee Zellweger) finds herself in legal trouble through a series of misunderstandings involving her ex-boyfriend, Charlie must escort her on a long drive to New York for questioning. After Charlie loses his medication, he and Hank wind up vying for her affections: Charlie wants Irene to marry him, while Hank has more brutal intentions. Me, Myself, and Irene also features Chris Cooper, Robert Forster, and Jessica Harper, as well as Anthony Anderson, Mongo Brownlee, and Jerod Mixon as Charlie's rotund, African-American sons.

It’s scary how good Jim is at split personalities.

Because Jim is a real life psycho confirmed.

Notice how they changed camera angle during his transformation. When it's Charlie the camera is at high angle but when he transforms into Hank they went down slowly and closer to him, making him look visually bigger, hence to show a difference between two personalities. Cameraman knew his damn job. Perfect work.
*Cameraman understood the assignment!*
Cinematographer... but still a very good observation!
In film, generally speaking, high camera angles are used to show the character is weak and submissive. When the camera angle is low pointing up on a character, it shows the character being strong and powerful.

Just the difference in inches
Especially your mom
That is true. I was threatened by some dude a few years ago when I went to see my friend Chloe who is a dancer and this dude kept saying "Hey, You're not allowed to talk to her. Know what I'm saying? Know what I'm saying?!" and gave me a very intimidating look. Dude wasn't her hubby because I have met him and he's a nice guy but this dude threatened to harm me and I nearly snapped. I am easy going but holding anger in you for a long time can really do some harm when it's finally released
Can we all take a moment to appreciate the sheer talent this man has, because that facial transformation was unreal.

If the Oscars had a category for comedy Jim would have definitely won with this sense. The way he transformed was simply Oscar winning material. Hilarious and genius all at the same time
Jim Casey's talent is one in a million. His facial expressions and the faces he makes are what sell this role.
Carrey*
The way his face moves when Hank is exploding out of his mind is beyond acting
His HS friends said he would take classes apart just making faces
I think the best thing about the transformation is that he spoke, not in a shout or scream, but in a menacing whisper.
Very over looked thing that you brought up. I dated a girl from the Philippines, and she told me that many people there say their threats quietly. "Do you want to get stabbed tonight? I think you should calm down.". If you didn't chill out, the quiet dude didn't threaten again, he just stuck you, for real, in the bar. To me, that's MUCH more scary than the big yelling angry dude.
Reminds me of someone who trying to pull of a Clint Eastwood impersonation lol
@saltysergeant4284 I think the reason for that is a whisper often displays a calm, almost tranquil peace of mind that the threat in itself isn't to scare somebody, it's to promise them. If you were threatening to scare, you yell
Exactly! I used to say that he used his "Cable Guy voice". LoL

+negative letter True. He could've also done that to make the audience think he's gonna shoot up the place, but then he ends up doing that
Milo Septett It's called MK Ultra. Most celebrities have gone through it. It's basically getting tortured to create split personalities with one of the purpose being that each personality dies not know what the other personality knows. Also each personality comes out during certain times (sex, violence, preforming etc) and can be triggered with a certain key word or sign.
