I am a solo game developer and digital artist. I had to endure the painful and long learning process of blender to be able to make my own game, but hey, this app saves me a lot of trouble and makes it possible for me to make my designs with my iPad. This is a really big thing.
A video about the dinosaur skeleton and car design processes deserves to be shared. Congratulations to the Feather family for this amazing software. 👏👏👏
Oh, started playing with it and realised the line tools are actually in 3d with depth, not the one sided flat ribbons I thought they were. ! Laurie NZ. 😅😅😅
Thanks for making it one time purchase. I would have gladly paid $50 one time for this. If you have future updates, I would gladly pay a one time fee for those updates
Wow! What immediately comes to mind is Across The Spider Verse style of animation, this could be a useful tool to use alongside Blender to achieve such art style.
Congrats on amazing app! I dont own ipad and sure enough I would love to see it on Windows. But I understand if thats too much too ask. Either way - truly amazing looking software. You guys rock!
This just popped up on my recommended feed - firstly, I've seen tools like this before and they always disappoint. IF it's as good as shown here (I've literally only seen this one video), then I'm interested. BUT I'm very experienced in sketching and 3D design. The success of this program will come down to how you create the 3D, similar to a 3D pen that oozes out plastic. - How do you choose the Plane to draw on? Is it Normal to the view? - How are Planes connected to each other? Can you go back and reselect a Plane to draw on? Is it by Plane or Sketch? - If you have a 3D object from sketches, what can you do with it? Can you export as a STEP file to a 3D program? Without the above points being fluid, seamless and error-free, this will struggle to get into my regular workflow. Professionals don't have time for anything less, good luck
I don't know some devs don't build apps for android, but all of them end up with low in sales or downloads cuz almost everyone in asia use androids rather than iPhones.
We’ll keep that in mind! However, for now, we're focusing more on the iPad version. Since we’re still a small team, supporting multiple platforms-especially once we start charging-requires delivering the same experience across all devices. That’s a big challenge for a team of our size. Expanding will come after we achieve solid results on the iPad.
@@feather_3d id do the affinity route not adobe route you saw how much they hate adobe , not only that ylbut you dont have a following yet at the time of writing this, id suggest not charging a subscrition unless you want to end up like adobe.
@@oluwadamilola6233 I use and love deep paint. A lot of this can be done without it too, but it's great to see competition for fueling better UI improvements!
@modelenginerding6996 yeah. Can be done with straight up modeling and texture painting . I personally don't like deep paint. I had to go learn how to paint in 2d then just applied to my 3d models and it looked better than deep paint
We’d love to place a Feather on as many platforms as possible, but even optimizing and fixing bugs on a single platform keeps our small team fully occupied! It will take a lot of time, and everything is currently undecided.
Glad this came up in my suggested videos and that you had a direct link to the app name, for some reason it doesn’t show up when searching the App Store with feather. Only directly searching "Feather: Draw in 3D"
0:57 is blender. I was about to ask whats the difference between Feather and Grease pencil? if they have blender they had might as well just started in blender no?
Blender, much like Krita, will never appear in the appstore / on the Ipad, where feather can be used. There seems to be a Feather addon for Blender though, so you can likely export the work you to in Feather on the ipad to your Blender desktop setup and continue working.
@@NowoNvr I could be wrong but I think both Krita and Blender are under a type of licences that are incompatible with Apples ecosystem terms. Maybe I have misunderstood it (lets all hope I have!) but I feel atleast krita would already be on the ipad if not - especially since its on android devices.
@drunkenmuse I heard about that but I asked because I thought you'd know about tge details, thanks anyway. (In the case of blender it's kinda weird because Apple is a big backer of Blender)
Okay, this rocks. This would suit perfectly to my workflow. Any chance we could get an Android version anytime soon? (like optimized for Samsung Tab S10 Ultra ?) Great work!
this looks unreal and beyond incredible .. but nobody, bar no one, is looking to add another subscription to their life; raise the price, sell it as a one-off purchase there's a reason people love Final Cut Pro, and are leaving Adobe in their masses
I don't get it? This doesn't show anything about how it works, just zooms around pre-rendered stuff. It also shows it being used with Blender, but in that case why wouldn't I just use greasepencil?
Does it work with non iPad Pro, just regular iPad? Does it work with regular stylus with the rubber tip, instead of Apple Pencil? If so, I would buy your app right away.
If you decide to include a frame by frame animation feature with onion skinning, this app could really transform 2d animation for iPad. Like Blender's Grease Pencil for iPad
I cannot say how absolutely stunned I am that someone was able to create this amazing app for people who always wanted to do 2 D and 3-D animation hybrids who couldn’t before due to technological restraints such as different devices and yet you were able to give us something close to as Blenders grease pencil but on iPad which I can’t thank you guys enough for, Thank you.
WOW! Once it’s not subscription bases you got my money!
This exactly lol
never ever pay subscriptions guys haha facts!
Is it sub based? Swear I just bought it out right
yup, this right here, Im never investing in subscription based software again. I want ownership
it says no sub
Massive respect for not making it subscription based and no hidden in app purchases either!
this is tactic to spike user base. they’ll start subbing next year 😢

Loved logo. Huge respect for devs and designers. ♥️🙏
I fiddled with this app a long time ago, it’s impressive to see where it’s come
Amazing skills you got. Gets me mesmerized every single time.
I will patiently wait until it came out on android
Probably wont, the few exclusive apps are carrying ipad sales. I hate that i have to buy hardware for software.
