Me too. It seems all of the videos I find on youtube require nice thick shiny striaght hair.... they pull these sections of hair out and im like.... thatès as thick as half my entire head of hair, so i just get stupid looking weird threads of hair almost with huge gaps. Blah. :(

Wish I knew this before I cut my hair a few months ago. I love the look of bangs but my curly hair means I have to straighten them so they look right and I'm ridiculously low maintenance soo.....

+FLUFFERKINZ You don't really have to straighten them, check out curlypenny's video about curly bangs.. I think the only problem with curly bangs is that they look too voluminous when they are too much hair.
+Martha Kalantzi I have my hair cut like Loepsie's are styled: very straight and blunt down my forehead with a center part so they don't work very well when left curly. I usually get them as a side bang instead, or I brush them to the side when I don't have time to straighten them.

This is so amazing! I'm so glad that I found this. I go back and forth with my bangs. It is definitely a love hate relationship so now when I have the urge to have bangs I can just do this and not have to wait for that awkward in between growth. 😍
This was amazingly helpful! I have incredibly long hair and needed a tutorial that would not just work with my hair but also with the fact that I needed to put my hair in braids after. works with one side swept bang look too. Instead of doing two sections I just did it all in one and swept it all the same way :) thanks for the video! I love it!!
I wonder if you can do it as one section to avoid the swoopy middle? I don't mind that look, but others might not like that. Otherwise maybe loosening the middle section a touch more so the left and right overlap a tiny bit might also cover that up.

I tried to use only one section and it kind of worked :)
It works, the trick is to only start with a small chunk of the section then to gradually add more as you go across your forehead. Kinda looks like a beatles haircut 😂

This fascinates me more than I thought it would. I used to have a fringe up until I was 13, and then I convinced my mother to let me grow my hair because I hated the way it looked, but I think I'm going to try this technique someday just to see how it looks on me now. Lisa Koe mine was the opposite! I had to grab giant sections to get it to look half as nice as hers. It still looked nice, but if I actually got bangs it'd look way too thin lol!

Anyway, each one love whatever they want. If you ever want to get bangs but are afraid, just do it! Personally I think thin bangs looks cute, but the hair always grows! So if you do it and you end up not liking them, you can regrow it

I have a short, squarish, chubby sort of face and the only girls I've seen with thin bangs that look nice are typically normal/longer and relatively thin faces so 🤷🏼♀️ it could just be that they looked weird with this tutorial(probably) but I prefer fuller bangs on myself

WOMAN! YOU ARE A GENIUS!!! Difficult to do by yourself and try to do the twisting/holding/pinning one-handed, but I managed to get passable results after only a few tries, and I bet it would be much easier with a friend helping you.

Brilliant! I was thinking about cutting side swept bangs but remembered how terrible they always look due to my very thin hair. I tried this and within 5 minutes had better bangs than if I cut them! Yay!!

I managed to alter this slightly, instead of using a Bobby pin, I used a normal hair tie and put it behind my ear, under the rest of my hair
I tried it. It was amazing . I always travel with my fake bangs and it never fall it's amazing thank you of course I subscribe and you know it's Eid so I made it when I go pray Eid thank you I am so happy

last year I got bangs bc they look nice on me when I have my hair down.
Then I cried for ages since any kind of braid or updo would just not work anymore bc my hair wasn't uniform in length anymore.
Now my bangs are long enough for braids again. I look at my morning self and seem to HAVE to do an updo just to look remotely human and wanted to cut then again -- huge dilemma!
Maybe this will save me and some others all the trouble!

I wonder, as a way to make the separation in the "bangs" more natural;
Could you, after the center parting and dividing the portions of the hair you want to use for the bangs, put the part for the bangs just a bit off center? This way you have a bit more on one side and it looks a bit less like it's separating right at the center. This is how my natural bangs fall, and it might help lessen the required "primping" to perfect the look.
You are the first person I have seen suggest this method of faux-bangs. It's amazing! Can't wait to try it.

I've had the same problem, but try this: Get the end of your hair strand and wrap it around your finger for some time, you should see some twirls eventually.

U can spray water at the end of your hairs and then try to fold the last ends with your hands
Because of water your hair will fold easily
Or you can apply some oil in the place of water

Just a quick tip from a hairdresser :D if you your two front sections while they are wet and blowdry them going forward, this should be even easier because your hair doesn't part (unless you have a cowlick) :) I love your videos keep it going :D
