There’s another way you can do it with short hair. You like pull a section from the front to the back then like clip it down and then pull it to the front
Try shampooing your hair with a clarifying shampoo every so often to get any excess hair product out that may be lingering around and also, when applying your conditioner, only put it in the very ends of your hair (try scrunching the conditioner up on the ends) because if it gets anywhere on your scalp it will cause it to be more oily than usual. Hopefully this helps you! ☺️
For those with shortER (medium length) hair: Take a smaller section from the top for the high ponytail, take a section from the MIDDLE (as thick as you want the bangs to be) and braid THAT and loop THAT through the first ponytail and adjust, then pull the rest of the hair (bottom section) up to the high ponytail, which will help cover the braid too Just tried it on my just-below-shoulder-length hair and it worked!
