- TETR.IO SEASON 2 IS HERE!! With this update comes new achievements, a whole new quickplay, and a different tetra league (not out yet). I’ll show you everything you NEED to know about quickplay and all of its most important mechanics. I will update the description with any new information that I discover if there is any.

CORRECTIONS:
1. Although duos will combine your stats, points are halved as to balance it out. Otherwise duos would already be dominating the top ranks. ALSO, duos are twice as likely to be targeted. In other words, if player A receives garbage, the player B will receive the same garbage and vice versa. Duos are overall weaker than solo players. Duos will not save your score either.
2. Reviving players takes 3 goals most of the times, but there are only 1 or 2 goals in earlier floors.
3. All spins will count towards B2B but not send any extra lines.
4. Perfect clears actually count as 2 B2B.
- If you've noticed the little {!!} symbol that appears in top players, that just basically means you've been sent a huge spike, and the corresponding number of beeps is how many chunks of that spike there is from 2-4. These chunks will be sent one after another in order to prevent a 1-hit kill. This can only appear after 8 minutes (Thanks doktorocelot for giving me that info)
- The further someone is below you, the more powered up the garbage will be if it's sent to you. For example, if a floor 5 player sends lines to a floor 10 players, that garbage will be more powered up (I don't know specifics but that's the gist)
- I now know the conditions of entering hyperspeed. On floors 1 and 2, you need climb speed 8 (teal meter). On floors 3 and 4, you need climb speed 9 (cyan blue). On floor 5, you need climb speed 10 (light pink). From floor 6 and on, you can no longer enter hyperspeed. if at any point you dip below climb speed 7 (gold; last one without paralellograms) and as such become climb speed 6 (magenta) you lose hyperspeed.

"This can only appear after 8 minutes" you're confusing that mechanic with fatigue; fatigue is what appears after 8 minutes, wind-up garbage (the {!!}) is not related to that

@@lukebee1152 as far as i know, the os you have doesnt really impact how well you are able to play a game except if it's really a trash os that'd take all your ram which xp isnt
ULTRA mode is really easy
quick correction: it isnt ALWAYS 3 goals to revive, on the way earlier floors it can be 1 or 2

Two things:
1) duo mode also halfs each person's score to account for the fact you're 2 people, meaning if one player is dead you're at a disadvantage
2) you explained invis and double garbage poorly, you were technically correct but you didn't explain the full scope of it very well
5:02 the "less points" part of Expert seems to be achieved by harder requirements for climb speed. I can consistently stay in purple/peach in normal, but only green/blue in Expert.

A small correction: 1:54, the multiplier for nothing(I call it black) is 0.25 (check that TSD get +1.0 and it's black text)
I guess you're right, yeah. I thought it was 0 because I was already in red with a single t-spin, and so I assumed the single point given to me was because of that red multi.
Red = 0x
Orange = 0.5x
Green = 1.0x
Blue = 1.25x
Pink = 1.5x
Peach = 1.75x
Teal = 2.0x
Light Blue = 2.25x
Light Pink = 2.5x
White = 2.75x

@@napoppu9575 I actually just noticed that too. I went into hyperspeed and I have no idea what the conditions are. Maybe someone has the details?
@@JayKobTetrisi hit hyperspeed by clearing the first 2 floors in under 40 seconds, if that helps

Another correction: 2:37, the lines canceled does count, unless you are in expert
That’s only partially true. The points you earn ONLY come from lines you SEND. You might’ve misunderstood, but say you have 4 garbage in your queue and you send 6 lines. The 4 lines from cancelling will not count, while the 2 extra lines are sent, and counted as points.

What are all the 'fatigue' messages that may appear as you survive for longer? I especially can't find the one that appears at 12 minutes.
8m: "fatigue sets in..." +2 solid lines
9m: "you body grows weak..." +25% fragility (more lines received)
10m: "all senses blur together..." +3 solid lines (5 total)
11m: "your consciousness fades..." +25% fragility (50% total)
12m: "this is the end." +5 solid lines (10 total)

this is cool, but theyve pretty much made quick play even more tailored towards good players than it already was. obviously in a no-matchmaking free for all noobs get out in minutes or even seconds, but now its even more like theres all this cool content you can only experience if youre cracked at the game :/

If one person dies in duo mode, does the surviving player have on average double the garbage coming in? Only seems fair that way, because ofherwise the garbage that wouldve targeted thr dead player would now target a random third party, which benefits the surviving player and would be unfair to solo players, wouldnt it?
In a sense you’re right. The way they balance duos is by halving the amount of points that both players earn. So yes, it is a little unfair to solo players, but it is pretty balanced. Otherwise you would see duos left and right on the leaderboard
@@JayKobTetris not quite true, duos are overall weaker. if either player gets targeted, both will receive the garbage; so say if player A gets sent 4 lines, both players get sent 4 lines, even if one of those players is dead - this means you're basically twice as likely to be targeted
the lines that get sent by each player is also half
@@doktorocelot so basically you’re telling me that duos is not one target, but 2 targets? Meaning that technically all garbage received is doubled?
@@doktorocelot i thought if 4 lines was sent to the duo, each person within the duo gets half the garbage. that was my thinking. haven't had it tested tho
