- Hey everyone! In this episode, I'm tackling the final touches of my bathroom makeover on a budget. First, I'll be finishing up some painting around the windows to give them a fresh new look. But the real game-changer is applying a wallpaper mural over my existing bathroom tiles!
Initially, my bathroom was completely tiled from floor to ceiling, and I wanted to find a way to soften the space without removing the tiles completely. So, I came up with a brilliant concept to cover the tiles while keeping the option to change back in the future. Now that it's done, I can't imagine ever going back to those old tiles!
If you're curious about how I prepared for the mural application, make sure to check out episode one. There, I share all the steps and tips you need to know.
But wait, there's more! I still have a few more changes in mind for this space. In the upcoming videos, I'll be showing you how I paint the floor tiles to give them a fresh new look. So, stay tuned for that!
I can't wait to see you all there and share the final transformation of my bathroom. It's been such a fun and budget-friendly project, and I hope it inspires you to tackle your own DIY makeovers. See you in the next episode!

Thank you so much ❤️😊
This is sooo beautiful. My sister has hand painted murals for clients and I fell in love with the Hudson River Valley style like this. Love from Iowa USA
That sounds absolutely gorgeous next time around. When I get fed up of this, I will throw my hands or a hand painted mural

Mr M is so cute, just a great "himself". I have a feeling he is full of "Spice and a pinch of Sassy", just must be "Never a Dull Moment" with you Guys.
lol, I can feel the energy. lol
Priceless!
💯
Love it!
I was so sure you were going to add some paint to it like in your watercolor inspired decoupage furniture video! It is a lovely mural all by itself though. I've no doubt that your bathroom AFTER video is going to be stellar.
There are few other paint jobs that I want to do within the space coming in the next videos. I suppose there’s been a lot of prep work to do with this space, but I’m really looking forward to having a paintbrush back in my hands. 😊😊😊
Hello from Wisconsin!
Absolutely stunning ❤❤❤xx
Thank you so so much
Very nice 👌 loving the look , your doing better than we are with our s ,I'm a little surprised you didn't use border and overlap adhesive on the wall paper tho seeing as its in the bathroom , please don't take this as a negative Jonathan .
No of course, not we love the feedback I’ve been asked this a couple of times already in my bathroom. I have a really good extractor fan which removes any steam. I’m really comfortable with this paper being right next to the bath. I have to say it probably is drip resistant, but what I would advise anyone if they were concerned about moisture with wallpaper in a bathroom would be to give it a coat of matte lacquer after application. Great to bring those points to the party. 😊😊😊
🙋♀️
Jonathon, I ❤❤ the wall mural!! Its like having a bath outdoors in.the woods. Will be so relaxing with some candles on.
One concern I have is water and moisture on the paper. Does the paper need to be protected with something on the top?
❤Px
Definitely a great question. I am very lucky in my bathroom. I have a ventilation system which takes out steam but I do believe this paper would be good with slight splashes. I know there’s usually quite a lot of concern about wallpapering bathrooms, but if you were worried about this in your own home, I would suggest a strong adhesive and some matte lacquer over the top which I’m not going to do but I will be doing a revisit six months and a year later to see how everything holds up 😊😊😊
The bathroom looks wonderful. Please could you tell me the name of the mural wallpaper? My son is autistic and it would be a calming and restful backdrop for his bedroom.
I’m not sure of the name of the wallpaper, but it is stocked in B&Q in the UK, and if you’re not in the UK, I think you can pick up the same design on Etsy. I think it would be a great shout for your sons room, the pattern repeats the same as what you see in my bathroom, so if your wall is longer You can keep on going x
@@JonathonMarcMendesPaintedLove thank you. I am in the UK, so I will look in my local B and Q. His wall is probably two widths of paper bigger than your bathroom, so will I need two or three rolls do you think?
This project is certainly enticing us to watch more of your beautiful vision for your bathroom !
The mural is FABULOUS!! (Living in the states could I purchase this online?)… 24:22 Can’t wait for the next episode!
Thanks!❤
I’m not too sure whether you could purchase it from our B&Q store online, but I do know that this very same image is sold on Etsy so take a look there see what you can find 😊😊😊
