- In this tutorial you will see me transform two pieces of MDF wood which could possibly be an old flat non-inspiring piece of furniture, flipping it into a French country inspired faux crackle paint finish@woodubendmouldings4330 And @elisamagicpaint Follow me on the journey as I apply Woodubend mouldings and use magic paint in just a few steps, it truly is easy and very rewarding in the results.
I hope you enjoy my tutorial I have to say a special thank you to Solly jo from posh chalk interiors for helping me create this tutorial and letting me use the workshop for the day…. I hope you all enjoyas this tutorial as much as I did creating it, if you’re new to my channel and have enjoyed please hit me with a thumbs up or even better I subscribe I’m always here to answer any questions so feel free to leave me a comment.

I love seeing your sense of humor...your always so serious!!
The Out-takes are PRICELESS !!!
lol love the bloopers! 😍😅😂🤣
A new admirer of your workmanship. Loved the finished product, and I certainly learned some new techniques to apply. One thing I know would be a pain for you to do, is for you to list the colors and paint you used in your projects, and any other product as well. It would save me and no doubt others having to rerun your video to try to catch the name of the product you are using. Keep up the good work! The more the merrier. Many thanks!
Oh yes that’s a good shout leave it with me oh and thank you for watching and subscribing it’s nice to have you here 😊😊
Stunningly beautiful..Bravo..
That was a great video enjoyed it .
How do you keep from sitting and staring at your work all day!? Love the bloopers at the end 😂
Hey thank you so much 😊 🥴

Thanks to you, who create beautiful things with your hands.
I have always thought you are a genius🍀❣️🍀❣️🍀
Hey thank you very much ❤️
Oh Jonathan "a play day with WoodUbend"...I wish. That product is too expensive for me to be able to "play" with it. You crack me up! Happy you can though because I learned so much in this video.
Thank-you😊
Love the bloopers…such fun🤣again, so beautiful and thank you❤️
Another work of Art, I love it!!
Thank you very much really appreciate that😊😊😊
You are an incredible artist! The best part is you make me feel I can do this!!❤ Love the outtakes too!!😁
Great job 👏 👌🤩👌👍
The only reason I would try an try to get an ordinary piece look like what you did, the circular pieces of bedside tables from the 70's,, all ornate but dark wood ,etc, but wanted them to look like old French chateau pieces from the old day, so ventured out on every technique, hence ,school glue for crackle , plaster of Paris for build up age ,chunky,,, old gold paint from dollar store , antique finish from dollar store,,,,, finally dry brushing with baby powder ,,, then just paste wax and buff , thankyou for all your videos love them ,xo you made my evening , so great
love your video's!!!!! Watching from Virginia
I truly enjoyed this💕
Bravo! Truly furniture as art. Thank you.
Absolutely stunning as usual xx
Wonderful!
So beautiful!
The doors are beautiful! Perfect timing for me to see this. I am doing my French armoire. I can't wait to try these techniques. Thank you very much.
Oh how exciting I love French furniture 😊❤️
@@JonathonMarcMendesPaintedLove I plan on doing something very similar with two matching armoires, but don't think I can get the products you used in Italy. The armoires I have are huge, so I'm wanting to add decoupage paper. Can I do a crackle finish over decoupage paper using the crackle solution and maybe a really thin wash over it? Also, what it if I wanted more of the blue to come through? I'll most likely be using Annie Sloan chalk paint. I've been subscribed for a while and binge watch you wonderful tutorials long past the hour of a sane time to sleep. Love your work. You're a true artist, ♥ PS
Love this!!! Gorgeous 😍

Love how this turned out!!!! I so want to try this!❤
My absolute favorite way of doing most finishes I use, for the last 10 years,,,, the products these days weren't available to me i had to improvise, mostly paint colours,,, old gold paint dollar store stuff , Elmer glue ,,, plaster of Paris,,,
Amazing. As always!
Texas fan!
Thank you
Loved the country French look with the crackle finish. Great job.
Great humility with great talent.
Love those types of appliqué
I' m new, just found your channel. Thank you.
Elegant. I have the larger woodubend scrolls on an old demilune table. Well worth the time.

Great!!!! Thank you for that tutorial and for the plane WoodUbend Trimming, I was missing that kind of trimming a long time already:)
Your work is wonderful so respectful of the piece. You are so funny with your fly "poopies", lol. So, here is a joke for you. What did the constipated fly say? "I SPECK NOT"! Haha
😆🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh my goodness. You are so talented. You have made 2 pieces of plain wood become so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your talent and showing us what can be done with woodubend and paint.
So inspiring, Jonathan! From MDF to this...Just WOW! Love the outtakes too!

No I guess the job isn't easy, but you must be very gratified with your day's work and ain't you having fun! Loved the doors, looked for all the world like you just dragged them out of a barn and tried to clean them up. Thanks.
Isn’t easy but so much fun thank you for your lovely comment 😊😊

Thank you very much 😊😊
I love it!!! ❤ By the way… you’re a hoot! 🦉 😂
Really beautyfull and inspiring. I also want to do something with crackle since a long time. And you are right, i always get confused too with Posh Chalk and WoodUBend 😅🤣
Very complicated basically the same company to different brands but I do love all of the products so I’ll forgive them x
Admit it... you had só much fun! 🤣 Wonderful to see so much freedom using products, no pressure, just fun. And it turned out beautifully. Ah you're just inspiring. Blessings and hugs from South Africa🦋🇿🇦
Thank you so much I did have so much fun xx
Gorgeous! So cool with all the layers and textures. But.....I did love that blue and didn't see any peek through at the end.
I suppose there’s just a small amount of blue from the cracks put the dark what does make it look even darker than the original blue maybe next time I will do a little bit more blue is the colour that I don’t use very often and I think I should 😊😊
Love, love, love your technique. Great content and such warm and amusing presentation. Did I say that I love this French look. I am trying to make this effect but not as successful as yours. Will tweek mine. We will see.
Thank you for all of the loves and I’m wishing you all of the best for your project ❤️❤️
I’m so inspired! I have a 2’ X 3’ French inspired panel that is some sort of ceramic (clay?) It’s painted black and chippy I’ve been waiting 2 years for inspiration - I’ve got it now! Thank you Jonathan great tutorial per usual
Also never knew what the inspiration behind fly speck was - ☺️
I am so pleased that I’ve inspired you to get rolling with your project please send me some pictures when you’ve done 😊❤️🙏
That's cool,, I always thought that method and design would work really well on edging decoupage set on front of drawers etc, or just plain doors, or on panels on a wall ,,, or a boring door , love it
