To do Uda Walawe safari, it is best to stay the day before at a place closer to Uda Walawe. Getting up at 3 AM in Ella to go on a safari can be exhausting. The reason they go so early is because you can see more animals in the morning as they tend to rest when it heats up by mid day
Yeah getting up at 3am was sooo hard! We slept the rest of the day because we were so exhausted!!! (We go to sleep around 12-1 and didn’t even sleep because of the fireworks and music) but we loved it so much! Def should have stayed closer tho!
It is good u mentioned not to feed animals, otherwise they get used to it and start to disturb next vehicles. It is already happening and some elephants get in to roads and stop vehicles for food.
Luckily these are at a National park and cannot leave to go onto the roads, but also we don’t want them getting used to it and disturbing the keeps for more food!
It was not expensive to go to that National Park;it was wonderful but I didnt stay up until all night and then go I was on a tour and stayed at a hotel near the park😂
You seem to have paid the luxury tourist price for everything. I don't like the price discrimination that happens here against foreign tourists but it's the norm apparently.
Yeah we get charged a LOT more! Which I don’t think is very fair because we choose to go to countries that are more affordable for us because…well that’s what we can afford! So when we get here and are charged a LOT more, it sucks and we can’t enjoy as much as we’d hope to! We def can’t afford things like this all the time but something we decided to do because we don’t have the option to do it anywhere else!
What?? There's no price discrimination. The price they paid is the ones all pay doesn't matter if they are local or not. I have done this safari as a local and they charged me the same. And even the transport on the van is the rate people pay here. Not everyone can afford going on a safari here most have never gone safari as a local because its unaffordable, the people who go are majority tourists and local wildlife photographers.
@@muazunais2378 I’m not talking about just the safari but in general (tuktuks, activities, even buses tried to make us pay more). Like for example, in Kandy the botanical garden was I think 200 for locals but 3,000 for us. So we can’t do as many activities as we’d like since the tourist price is a lot higher! Not sure how much they charged other people for safari but these are just examples I saw!
@@NiNiiTravels I'm aware about the large gap between prices and feel your frustration and there is some places that are worth it for money and some aren't for example the lotus tower in Colombo is 60 bucks for tourists which is way overpriced. But I can assure you that the safari is the same price for everyone. Wilpattu national park is way higher cuz the chances of seeing a leopard is high so they charge about 28,000. Whale watching and dolphin watching are around the same price as well. Buses you should only ride in the red ones and they give printed reciepts cuz they are government owned, the colorful ones are private some do give reciepts and some dont and only if you are travelling more than 100kms at a time the price will be more than 300 rupees. Tuktuks never get in one which you find on the road specially in Colombo they'll scam locals as well. Book tuktuks through the apps pickme or uber. Last 2 - 3 days the visa on arrival was a hot topic in the country when a local voiced out his frustration about the high price for visa on arrival in the region and they are bringing amendments to it as well. Overall ngl there is corruption in the country to a degree and also most local's daily wage is 1500 rupees so its pretty unaffordable for them aswell to go places. Everyone is hoping there's change after this year's election cuz its a whole new government with new candidates who are well educated. Anyways I hope the next time everything is better when you come back
Why you allways taking about. 💰 ???????????????????????????giving guide line to others something else..but.allways talking about how much u spend we dont care.some.visters spend million here ..we.dont care ur how.much u spend.we care ur content 😂😂😂😂
Actually a LOT of people want to know how much we spend so they get an idea of what they can and cannot afford. In fact, I get the most comments on my content ASKING how much certain places/hotels/food cost in each country we visitN
