they need to drop last gen support if they want to move forward, which they wont do because the installed user base is too high, and then they'd have to put more effort into the game development besides a roster update. we should be getting a ps5-only Unreal 5 version if they wanted to impress with graphics

It's in 4K but I think he's got the TV in game mode. Also I'm pretty sure this is on Franchise mode or March to October so the graphics look better in those modes due to the authentic feeling. The ticker at the bottom makes the game feel more authentic. I have the game on PS5 and am playing RTTS on a 4k TV but have my TV setting on HDR and it doesn't look like this so it's definitely due to the TV being in game mode or another mode and the fact it's Franchise or March to October that's being played. Also this is a game being watched, not played so not having the PCI when batting is definitely making it look better.

The stadium graphics and lighting are sent from afar, but the modeling of the characters is horrible, they seem an intermediate between PS3 and PS4 graphics. Unacceptable in full 2024. In addition, we move from 60 fps in Gameplay at 30 fps constantly

we got new faces like Corbin Carroll and Christopher Morel and a few more and they look pretty good. but yeah they also kept the old ones like you mention from matt and a few more :( they look horrible indeed
Some of the player models look too bottom-heavy. And the ball still travels way too slow from the pitcher and off the bat. How have they not fixed this…ever? It’s slow motion and unrealistic. A ball speed slider would improve these games tremendously.
The issue I 've had when it comes to sports games is they change very little with each release. You basically end up buying the same game every year with the only difference being team rosters and minor game mode features you can do without. The first and only MLB Show game I bought was '18. To be honest it still holds up in terms of graphics and game play. Team rosters are dated but that isn't important unless you just have to have everything current in order to enjoy a baseball game. I saw no reason to buy '19, '20, '21, '22, and '23. From what I see here there is no reason to get '24 unless I want to have female players.
I can't believe it's 2024, and we don't have like procedural generated clothing for people in the stands..like. Orange, White and Blue, that's the ONLY colors they use...

For a 2024 game ..the graphics look kind of flat...could use more shadows and dept of field.
