thanks for the compilation of my childhood memory. I was 5 when i started watching my uncle played CM 2. That game made me wanted to be able to read better, because I wanted to have a go at it too. That game basically taught me how to read. I played at least one football manager game every year since then, even couple that aren't on this video, like Ultimate soccer manager 98. When i turned 18, i realized that I had a complete series of CM and FM, so i decided that I would keep buying them every year. Just pre-ordered FM 18 couple days ago :D
Tracksuit Manager was so much better on the Spectrum than the Amiga. Remember for some reason you couldn't save your game so I had to leave my Spectrum on for weeks on end so that it was virtually glowing from being so hot....
Championship Manager in 1993 was just light years ahead of anything else at the time. 30 years on, I still look back on it as THE moment for these games👍
im glad you watched the video mate i love that opening reminds me of the liverpoolvs arsenal 1989 on itv my dad went ot that game and recorded it on tv thats why i used it well i thought as they were older games id find 8 bit versions lol
I remember that title decider well, it was the first league title I'd seen Arsenal win. Being at that match would have been an incredible experience. Which team was your dad supporting?
Arsenal at the start of the match some fans were caught in traffic the coach or whatver my dad was on was one of the ones caught in traffic fun fact fior you lol
randomsh1t1471 Unreal! I can't even begin to understand what it would have been like to be in that far corner when Thomas flipped it over Grobbelaar! "IT'S UP FOR GRABS NOW!" "THOMAS, RIGHT AT THE END!"
Lma Manager 2001 was great with graphic at that time.Did anyone else had a problem with the game, after a few games, player ratings started to fall down, and goalkeeper couldn't save anything.Ball just goes though him.Tried everything at the time,I thought it's something with my training settings but it seems like it was a glitch!
Would have thought this video would have had more views. Z. Nice video. Love football management sims and I LOVE The Prodigy and retro gaming too! Genius.
"Dan Manager" from 1989 (Amiga game) was my first experience into this. Even though the game lacked on the tactical parts, it got training and transfer options. You could negotiate sponsor deals, try to bribe the opponents or the referee or even use doping. These were maybe reasons that the game came out of Denmark. Unfortunatly my Amiga broke 15 years ago. I ever struggled to find any image googling Dan Manager. Football Manager is definately my style now.
I Stopped Playing CM after 10 years non stop after Getting Fiorentina to Win The Serie A and The Champions League DOUBLE WITHOUT CHEATING (Save and Load). I Won with Sandro, Rui Costa, Mostovoi, and Gabriel Batistuta...etc
Hey mate! I have a question belonging to Premier Manager 3! I downloaded the game. started it...BUT... I play... I have no option for any saving. I just get trashed into dosbox back. Do only I have this problem? Could you be a help for me please?
@@alfredtriller9475 get Exodos and running Premier Manager 3 in it, - Exodos contains every dos game more or less and is setup already to run with no fiddling around
That was an amazing game. Its the only game ever that managed to to make animations that actually made me sit on the edge of my chair. I dont know how, but somehow it was so lively and fun. There was a simple cheat code that made you rich into infinity! Anyone rember? You held the mouse on a certain arrow and you pressed shift or something. :)
Loving this 👍. It’ll take me a while to get through the lot. I reckon I would have played the majority of the games up until the end of the amiga days. Then it would have been Champ/FM all the way.
@@paulheggett6887 It played like a board game but still had a management side ,and was no worse in that respect to the games of that era .Even Champ manager wasnt a great game until 2000`s
I was looking for a game that i used to play when i was a kid but i don't remember the name it was a game of my dad,so it was probably released before 2002 . It included a 1st person visuale during the game( you could also scream some orders to your players) unfortunately i don't remember anything else of this game, but it was very cool
Thanks i'm looking for a videogame i played when i was like 5(so basically around 2007). I remembered that you were able to create your team(i modified an existent football team's colours and create my team) . An amazing feature that i remember was that you were able to shout (literally) the instructions to your player, while you were seeing the match from the coach's point of view(so in first person, from the bench) if someone remember the name of this game I will be grateful
a heap of missing titles as you probably know - german football manager titles i guess could be a whole category on its own - Anstoss 1,2,3,4, Rantrainer 1 and 2, Bundesliga Manager series, Kicker, Kurt der Fussballmanager
please help me guys . There was a manager game at 90s-00s.I played 99-00 th football season ı guess( at 2005-2008).. it was windowed and only grey background and black fonts . Different leagues needed the setup another game setup . And when champions league match day came, it would play jingle song of ucl . Only teams logos were colorful and matches were simulating with only commentary , not voices only writings . When you wanted the player substution there was a little arrow near the player names . Thats all i remembered . Please can you tell me which game that was ?
Why isn't "The Double" included. This was the game that introduced me to the wonderful world of footy managers when i had my Commodore 64. The title doesn't say PC games it says video games.

there must've been at least 50 management games out on the spectrum alone...
Total Club Manager had such a nice interface and system ! thousands of hours in that game , still love it to this day
Championship Manager in 1993 was just light years ahead of anything else at the time. 30 years on, I still look back on it as THE moment for these games👍
Championship manager Italia was the best. Still play it now
Historical content, tick, wtf music, tick. Classic gaming video. :D
Loving the Central Midweek Sports Special music at the start.
The 8 bit version of "Breathe" at 4:17 was an unexpected slice of genius as well

Kevin Keegan manager on the SNES and there was a Board Game like Football Manager game I played on the C64 around 89-90. Great Video!
Brilliant video. Nostalgia brought back from so many happy memories. Best one was champ 4
I like in Football Manager 3 the chairman puts a massive portait of himself opposite your desk. Power play.
Bit of Prodigy at the start. Already liking the vid 😂
Great Video, really appreciate such historical accuracy, keep up the good work!!!

Off the top of my head you missed: soccer boss, the double, football director, 2 player super league...
a heap of missing titles as you probably know - german football manager titles i guess could be a whole category on its own - Anstoss 1,2,3,4, Rantrainer 1 and 2, Bundesliga Manager series, Kicker, Kurt der Fussballmanager
Which football management game was the first to have multiple different leagues like Turkish/Portuguese leagues
off the top of my head, on the ball, kevin keegans player manager, alex fergusons player manager, and you missed out champ manager 99-00
Great Vid, but Soccer Boss isnt there, always remember Marquis was an amazing striker, thems were the days
Just said the same and On the Bench also missing. Both IMO much better games than those shown
First one, looks like Bios Menager 😂
ANCO Player Manager for Playstation 1 LOVE this Version ( for PC was Player Manager 2)
2000 when Barcelona went Dutch.
I think you missed Sensible World Of Soccer (SWOS)?
Just like to say you made a great video. You did miss out on European Super League and On the Ball.
