    I remember this, and her full twisting Yamishita vault. Thought she was amazing, memorable, and much later the stories came out about the drugs that damaged her and teammates. I believe they sued the gov (?). She became an MD. How we (my college team) loved her work .

      Sadly that was a common theme among many sports in that era with those countries. In track and field there are many older records that still carry a huge question of taint.

      No, as a matter of fact she shouldn’t have. She had a hesitation on one of her moves, and a much easier dismount. This was true gold medal work.
