Literally prepping for my alt practical tomorrow, this helped clear up a lot of confusion. I always get my independent and dependent variables mixed up. Thank you and good luck to everyone else sitting for their papers🙏🙏🙏 Edit: chat, i think i'm cooked😔
there are also certain rules abt the drawing questions, draw a large diagram of the phagocytes shown in fig 2.1 etc. etc. so those are really important too, u cant shade or feather any lines and u cannot colour in whether its with ur pencil or anything else, just draw outlines of it
paper is tomorrow aahghhh I specifically had a problem with planning the investigations, had trouble with explaining method, I thought I would have to explain each and every step but your method is way easier. thanks that saved me a lot of memorizing
I had my bio paper 6 today and I practically memorised this video. It helped SO much. Ty ty ty because I was sure I was going to fail it, but I found it rlly easy.
Same! I had variant 1 too! It was AMAZING, I literally couldn’t believe it was this good. What did you put for the safety precautions and hazards question, where they had to put the six test tubes in the water bath at… I think it was 37C? I put the hazard as scolding water and precautions as to use tongs - I hope that’s correct!
One thing that really helped me to plan an investigation is the sentence (I don't care so run away.) I is independent variable d is dependent variable c its control s is the safety r is repeat and a is average if there is number ( IDCSRA) ❤
hey, so do you not have to state directly the method you are using.? because i'm looking at some ms and most require you to specifically state the method and how you will be using the apparatus to find your d-variable to gain some marks (sometimes most of the marks). i'm wondering if this this format of IDCSRA really works for all plan investigation questions. i'm sure writing IDCSRA will gain some marks for most, if not all planning questions, but i'm still thinking that the stating the method is quite necessary, so it will be IDCMSRA instead. I have an igcse bio atp exam coming up soon so please let me know soon soon so i maybe could save some time on those questions. thanks
@@kp-ms9zq Actually i have it too tomorrow and i am not so sure but what i know that some investigations need detials but some no , and you will know that by solving lots of past papers, i am just a student so i don't really know + by just stating all the DV, IV, CV you already get about 4 marks then if there is a method you got the 2 but if not probably it is repeat and the saftey tools(gloves , lab coat....) Don't ever forget those two because if you got any wrongs in the investigation they will be the backup I hope i answered you, sorry i am late😶💗
Thanks a lot Ms. Hazel, this will help me alot on my upcoming ATP exam on Tuesday. Could you please go over ATP tips for chemistry as that would be a lot of help for me.
vertical: dependent and horizontal: independent because, think of it yourself, when you see a graph, it usually goes up and down because the dependent variable changes
Thank you Miss. My BIology paper 42 was alright though i left like 6 marks, but apparently all you need in p4 is like a 50/80 to secure an A. Can you please confirm that or can anyone because the according to the online results a 90% is an A* and a 80% is an A.
Ok good because i was unprepared for bio 42 as all the topics i studied didnt come up and all the ones i didnt came. But i feel like i lost max 20 points
@DrishtiDharwai there were a few questions regarding yeast and yeast cells. Um, there was one where u had to draw a flower and a gas syringe, that's all I remember sorry 😭😭

OH. I thought gloves would cause more burns so I didn't write that. Oh well, I'm glad the paper was great nonetheless

80% is a likely A* but this overall calculation so 160 of 200 is close to an A* based on previous 7 years
just hope I get an A* I put so much effort into biology. My chem paper was so bad I Copied most of organic chem and moles from a freind.
