Barry Sanders is the running back for the lions. And yes, he is the classic rugby guy. You would love him.

The legion of booms is arguably the best defense the nfl has ever seen.. #1 defense 4-5straight years . Top 5 for 6. Late round draft picks or undrafted and absolutely torched the league

Best the nfl has ever seen??.. I’m sure Ray Lewis and Ed Reed and the ravens got something to say about that 😂

Richard Sherman was the cornerback, Earl Thomas was the free safety and Kam Chancellor was the strong safety. They together were the Legion of Boom. In my opinion the best secondary of all time. A very underrated member of the Legion of Boom was Bobby Wagner. He was their middle linebacker. He really didn't get the recognition he deserved while the other members were on that defense but when all the other members left the defense, he really showed who kept all their egos in check. Wagner was the glue to that defense and kept everyone together. He ended up being the best member of that defense because after they left the team they didn't amount to much but he ended up being even better after they left. I'm not a Seahawks fan, I'm a Steelers fan but I do respect the culture they had back then.

When a defensive player intercepts in the end zone without running it back out towards the opposite side, whether they go out of bounds, get tackled, or down it by taking a knee, their team then takes possession with their offense starting on the 20 yard line.

We had Texans season tickets but I would just go to see the Seahawks. Legion of Book & Beastmode 🔥 Also the broncos when Peyton broke his record

richard sherman played as a wide reciever in college until he switched to cornerback his junior year, which is why he did so well when intercepting. if he wasn't drafted as a corner by the seahawks they were going to draft him as a receiver

There's actually four guys you need to check out individually. Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor, Earl Thomas and Bobby Wagner. Wagner doesn't really get much love on that defense but he was just as important to those defenses as the other three but he didn't peak as early as those three alot of his success came after the first super bowl in 2014. He didn't really wasn't seen as a member of The Legion of Boom until the year after they won the super bowl and he ended up having the best career out of all of them. The other three members carried the load in 2012 and 2013 but from 2014 on, it was all four of them.

Part of what made that game so lopsided was that lots of Seattle fans showed up for the game and were incredibly loud.
Seattle is known for having among the loudest fans in the country, giving them a significant home field advantage. The Broncos did not prepare for the crowd noise and were unable to communicate on the field. Because the superbowl is not played at either team’s stadium nobody expected it would sound like a Seahawks home game.

They absolutely were not the best defense of all time. The 2000 Ravens, 85 Bears, 70's Steelers, 02 Buccaneers, and Purple People Eater Vikings were all better.

@fuckyoutube6886 I'd also add the 2008 Steelers to that list. It's plausible to say they had the best secondary of all time but that brings a whole other discussion up about the 2015 Broncos Vs. 2013 Seahawks.

Not sure if you care at all but the legion of boom (LOB) consisted mainly of Kam Chancellor, Earl Thomas and Richard Sherman. Earl Thomas was a ball hawk and was a lot like troy polamalu in that sense, he didn’t hit as hard as polamalu did and he was a lot smaller but they both had an insane skill to read the quarterback and intercept the ball. Kam Chancellor was the heart of the defense and could often change the game with one of his insane hits. He wasn’t as fast as thomas nor did he have the same ball hawking skills but he would lay the boom on anyone. Richard Sherman was arguably the best player of the three and wasn’t as flashy as thomas was and couldn’t hit as hard as chancellor did but he was consistently (arguably) the best cornerback for about 5 years 2012-2017. This defense could’ve led the seahawks to multiple super bowl runs if it weren’t for the super bowl against the patriots, that devastating loss and the many personalities on that team contributed to locker room problems but it doesn’t take away from their greatness. Kam chancellor (Strong Safety) and Earl Thomas (Free Safety) are considered top 15 safeties of all time and Richard Sherman (Cornerback) is considered easily top 10 of all time

On the list of all-time best running backs Marshawn Lynch would rank around #20. Speaking of great running backs, Jim Brown, arguably the greatest running back of all-time died today.
