9:25 is an iconic moment. He got fined for not doing a press conference, so the next game he sat in front of all of the press and whenever someone asked him a question he just repeated "I'm just here so I won't get fined" over and over.

the "12" also refers to the home fans of the Seattle seahawks because they're so loud it disrupts the opponents offence and acts as a 12th defender. it can get insanely loud at their stadium

11 year career for a running back is pretty long. A running back's peak years are usually early 20s. It's rare to see a running these days go into their 30s but it does happen like with Adrian Peterson.

It's not all strength and toughness. He is executing mechanically at an elite level, from the textbook. Football is hundreds of complicated techniques happening at all times. Players who can create, are doing basic mechanics well, not abandoning them, generally speaking.

  • @Tijuanabill

Sometimes folks unfamiliar think the pads are protection, for men who aren't tough like Ruby players. No. Rugby players are tough too, but the pads themselves are weapons, and they permit the player to use their whole body as a weapon. They can't use the helmet anymore as a weapon, but that is very new. All that hard plastic doesn't feel great, when it hits you. It's not protecting the person being hit, even though they have their own.

You also have to realize Marshawn played during a time in the NFL when you weren't allowed to celebrate. If you notice most times when he scores a TD he will grab his crotch. That was his little celebration that they let him get away with. Though this one time during the game at 8:20 against Arizona they flag it as a taunting penalty and Marshawn was fined for it. The AZ player #31 is Antonio Cromartie and all throughout the game they both were trash talking each other. Because of that the called it as taunting.
The "I'm just here so I won't get fined" part is because in the NFL contract you are required to do press. He skipped a few and got ridiculous fines for it. So he got clever.

Most people have Lynch somewhere around #20 in their list of all-time best running backs. The first tier (top 4) are (in no particular order) Jim Brown, Walter Payton, Barry Sanders and Emmitt Smith. Adrian Peterson also deserves strong consideration for the top tier.

    • @Tijuanabill

Running backs take a lot of punishment, so yes 11 years is a long career. Other positions, like quarterback can often play 15 years or more as it is more about intelligence and experience than it is athleticism (all are good athletes, it's relative to other NFL positions). Check out Walter Payton a.k.a. "Sweetness"
